I just wanna say that I have enjoyed watching your vids.I just found your site last nite. You are obviously a very intelligent person who raises alot of good discussions. In some of the these I actually agree with you .We all have our own personal perspectives on god and the world.I have plenty of doubts and questions myself. With that said, I still do believe in an intelligent being who created everything. That is my opinion only. .You said that you do welcome comments .
To continue.. when you look at the apostles story, it is my opinion that it takes much more faith to believe that these guys made up all this stuff or they formed a conspiracy amongst themselves than that they really did see what scriptures said were eyewitnesses to those things in the bible. Is there ironclad evidence of that?no, there isn't but if you look at the evidence it takes a much larger leap of faith to believe they were decieved or made it up than to just believe what was written.
Your argument here holds no water. Its is not the same thing. You are comparing apples and oranges. I give no creedence to those who say they were abducted by ufo's, I also give no creedence to those people who say that they had died and seen heaven or hell. Those 2 examples are comparing apples with apples. That is they are both heresay and extremely subjective.Does that make them wrong,?no it does not but it does make their statements unproven and uneffective in making someone believe them....
About aliens: I'm 100% sure they exist but I believe they may look very different than they are described in science fiction.
The estimated number of planets similar to Earth(planets with liquid water who can support life) ONLY IN OUR GALAXY is between a million and over a billion.
We are just a piece of sand in a desert.
BTW watch on youtube "Iraqi TV Debate: Is the Earth Flat?" if you really want to laugh.
read your bible ufo are in it. all i now what me and mat seen the same thing it was a ufo not from earth . about 30ft away 20ft up and it was big no noises. we was shocked to see it .
Has anyone ever wondered that the winner of every single "Miss Universe" pageant has been from Earth? I bet the ladies (or what we humans would call "the females" on planet Nublatron (I'm obviously not a astrophysicist) would naturally be disappointed.
@andy19il2005 Free or not free the US healthcare is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. That's the problem. For the quality of medical services they get, US citizens pay twice as much they should pay. US healthcare is robbing you. In Europe we don't spend more than 10% of the GDP on healtcare. US spends at least 15% but it's worse than ours.
CONCLUSION: US HEALTHCARE = CORRUPT AND OVERPRICED.
But the PROUD American always belive he's the best at everything even when in reality is the opposite.
Angie, you do know that Jesus and the Apostles never existed, and are just stories? So of course they can do all sorts of wonderful things, just like Harry Potter.
@DarkBeauty1989 I dont doubt that our military is behind all the UFO's. Government is behind all the dark secrets. They are ran by a much higher group of occultist. It is very easy to see if people would wake the hell up. I understand this lady doesnt believe in a higher power for good. What does she think of Satan. He is very real and he controls the evil that the governments of this World do to the innocent people. People would not be worshipping Satan if he did not exist.
@xcellken1 no it was close enough to see men in suits take it apart piece by piece and it was a ufo i think they can identify a plane right before their eyes
@xcellken1 yeah it was but this was back when i was like 8 . my dad worked down the road and came home casue he seen it from work going towards our house which the airport was right behind. you have t ounderstand the only thing between us and the airport was our backyard fence. my dad got in trouble for climbing the fence to cut grass. me & my mom seen soemthing supernatural at the same time & i caught a ghost breathing into my camcorder and shaking it but i know i cant prove it to be true
@DarkBeauty1989 When I was a little kid, our family saw a flaming ball flying thru the sky over Lke Erie. It wasn't a UFO, however. It was a meteor, and I think it laned somewhere in the upper midwest, maybe Minnesota
Seeing is not believing. Knowing is not believing. Individual perception can detect reality. Group experience can be wrong. The mind can be fooled. A=A. It can not equal anything but A. Therefore there is a way to know and to understand. This knowing may or may not extend beyond the senses, beyond reason and beyond thinking. Who said life was not interesting?!
Yes, depending on the individual, their experience and the creditability established
When you watch this video, don't focus directly on her. Let your mind fill in the gaps. Can you make her have two heads? I can. Can you make her red and green?
I was abducted not by aliens but by monkfish. They told me about this blog and that I would write these very words. now that is amazing praise be to his Monkish.
@AngieAntiTheist how you could possibly know for a fact that there aren't "little green men" 150 billion light years away from where you are right now beats me.
@kayinesstube I don't know it for a fact. I also don't know for a fact that there isn't a giant teapot circling Jupiter. All I meant to suggest is that there's no good reason or evidence to suppose little green men have visited us. Besides, someone was asking my personal opinion on whether or not I thought life existed elsewhere. I doubt bipedal humanoid looking life evolved elsewhere, but that doesn't mean no intelligent life. I just doubt it would look like us very much, from a different planet
@AngieAntiTheist It's just hard for me to understand how, from your perspective, out of hundreds of billions of galaxies, quintillions of stars, an infinite universe that may have been created from other preexisting universes, that only one planet, in one galaxy out of hundreds of billions could rotate a star close enough to the earth's pattern to provide conditions for a humanoid life form to develop, but that this life, unique to one planet in one galaxy out of trillions ... has no purpose.
@kayinesstube Instead you assume that all those billions upon billions of galaxies are here for one tiny, insignificant species that happened to evolve on a rather insignificant planet orbiting a rather typical star, were all designed to what - be pretty for us? To think WE are the center of/purpose of the universe is truly egotistical, IMHO.
@AngieAntiTheist That was my point. They aren't here to be pretty and could very well serve a purpose, as habitats for other intelligent life. Either as advanced or more advanced than the "insignificant species" on this "insignificant planet".
Hey Angie. There are actual christian websites that are dedicated to UFO siting. So there are some christian who believe that there is something going on in the atmosphere and are not denying the experience that these people are having.
Wow, Angie! What a great comeback to make theists and other believers uncomfortable- do you believe in alien abductions? And how is that different from religious stories?
Don't worry about this seaming like Just A Line But you are very pretty. I just had to say it. Your son will be given A heap of Shit from his friends about how hot you are.
I like ur style 7 I may need to Sub soon if your videos are greater then not filled with a good point of View.
Mainstream scholars believe that they were credible, and that the gospels are historically sound. Angie also conveniently left out the 500 people in 1 Corinthians 15:5-8...I've yet to see a magician rise from the dead. Also you cannot possibly compare people of a literary society (you and me) to someone of an oral society (people of Jesus' day), if you want more information on that watch the Christ Files.
@MrOmniFreak When asked about the credibility of the scriptures, clerics willfully provide deceptive half-truths and what may seem very profound answers, however the answers will be meaningless.
It is deceitful of clerics that have attended seminary, not to teach parishioners the truth about the texts.
All of your big name scholors that promote Christianity are criminals. They willingly lie to innocent people to make a dishonest living, and it is criminal!
But the gospels were public, how could someone change them if people could so easily notice?
And how do people know that they are a "rewritten ensemble of inaccurately translated, recopied, plagiarized, and fabricated texts." I wouldn't know where to begin anyways.
And how can you be sure about the seminary? i do not know much about them, but they are not the only group of historians and theologians, I'm pretty sure this is more of a historical issue, than a theological.
@MrOmniFreak I am only being honest, I am sure you are confused. however the facts can not be denied. The worlds best scholors all know there are no original texts, and the texts we have are copies of copies. Christian elder Arnoibus wrote (400CE) that the Gentiles ridiculed his new religion, because it was based on their doctrines and, Bishop Athanasius was disturbed because he was mocked by the Church for thinking ''Jesus'' was a historical character. Please.... do your own study.
In the infinite multiverse that we are currently experiencing, it is absurd to think that we are alone. I believe we have not had official contact because of our current dramas and our inability to evolve into higher states of consciousness as a whole. Think about it, what do they see when they observe earth? War, famine, greed, poverty, hate, suffering, violence, rape, prejudice, egoism, the list goes on..Change the way we conduct ourselves as a whole then we open the opportunity for evolution.
Even though I agree with notion that it is more likely than not that there are more life out there than us. Merely stating that it's possible is not enough evidence to warrant belief that aliens do exist.
I made 2 vids on the resurrection, but I am having some very serious doubts and asking lots of questions. I can not call myself a fundy anymore. I thought your UFO approach was excellent. I know a guy who is well known in UFO circles because of his story and I know that he believes he is telling the truth. If aliens exist then the bible can't be true in my opinion for at least 2 theological reasons. But you make a great point...we can interview them and yet still not believe them.
what era are you from? your white race, fuck, your human race, would not exist without women, so how are we a disgrace to it, this is simply failing logic.
The same psychosis that lead some small percentage of people to really believe they communed with spirits or fairies or gods are now the same percentage of people that truly believe they communed with aliens because that's what's in the communal consciousness now the way fairies and gods were back through time. And then, as it is with most of religion, most of them are full of shit. And hey, I think you're really cool.
That would indeed fit the facts of the demonic possession witness accounts as well as the alien abduction witness accounts. I've heard several witness accounts claiming they were abducted by aliens during hypnosis sessions (and during these sessions they would also act in the exact way as those believed to be possessed by demons). On top of that I have corroborating evidence from 'ex'-Satanists claiming that hypnosis is a tool for Satanists/demons to possess humans. Too much to igno
what its really proven by science its that there is no need for a god for the universe to start,if u dont belive en science u can go live in a cave with your imaginary god
50 years ago scientists tried to prove the universe had no beginning (in that way contradicting the bible). They were proven wrong.
Couple of hundred years ago, science still said the earth was flat (in that way contradicting the bible who says the earth is round somewhere in Isaiah). They were proven wrong by other scientists but were supported by the Vatican who was obviously trying to discredit the bible using scientists (by funding their science for example).
Let's not forget the earliest gospels were written at the very least 60 years after the supposed death of Christ. (if he even existed) With 60 years to get the story straight, the various gospels still presented differing stories on certain aspects of Christ's life & death. The inclusion in the final "bible" was decided hundreds of years later. So basing belief on anything the apostles supposedly did is truly building a house on sand.
Nice vlog but i would have to disagree with your point of view to a limited exten and agree that there are many that fit the bill from what you described. There is a lot of credibility in the UFO field you just need to know where to look. MUFON obviously, Dr Leir, the recent press conferences in DC with many credible and credentialed individuals. If you want to see something really ridiculous look up Joe Jordan and CE-4. You could have a whole rant on that guy
I don't know about the alien stuff...I wouldn't believe someone who said he/she was abducted by aliens but I doubt that all "ufo sightings" are lies ..only 99%
maybe I'm wrong hehe, but why is it impossible that there are no other life forms in our universe..
1) God and everything related to it, does not exist. Period, no arguements, cause the whole idea is just plain fuckin stupid
2) UFO abductees are lieing. People say if so many say they were abducted, it must be true, I beg to differ, since many stories are alike because EVERYONE knows the standard story, and those few who dont are making it up. I am an atheist, completely, and I believe we are not alone, but I do not believe aliens ever visited earth. The only thing more stupid than god is UFOs
there is no way without a god.all creatures or the first big bang prove there must be a god.all these universes is coming from a nothing?just talking according to logic and science
That post is so riddled with fail and straight up fuckin bullshit. You gotta be really fucking stupid to connect something as incorrect and outrageous as god with Logic and science...news flash you religious fuckin idiot, there is no god, and there is no jesus. What created everything is still somewhat of a mystery, but I can fucking assure you, you uneducated fucking religious idiot, that some fag on a fuckin cloud didn't hang it all up by fucking threads do you FUCKING understand THAT logic!?
actually first i m not an uneducated fucking idiot because i study at university, yeah maybe the world harbours a lot of idiots who lives with a lot of stupid ideas or religious rules but i m not one of them be sure.second, what type of a strong idea makes you sure that certainly there isnt a god.according to you there is no proof but whats the proof that god doesnt exist?also i m not a christ i m a muslim and the bible had been changed by people but quran not
do you believe that zeus or odin existed or are still existing? im prety sure u dont,do u have more proof of those gods not being real than of your god??
gods were created by men to explain things they dont understood
the proof its that gods have been changing over time along with the human changes if there was a god it would NOT change with humans.
Allah is just as unrealistic as any other god...Zeus? Odin? Buddah? Hindu? God? Allah? They're all different names for the same idea...an old explanation to things humans couldnt explain in ages past...today, however, we can, and it goes against all thoughts of common sense to think that there'd be a god. It's like believing in elves or vampires, no one ever sees them, but there're far fetched 'proof' of their supposed existence through time. Religion will die out once humans mature though
why do people think they are professionals as soon as they put a camera in front of them!! and for the record.... i have not been abducted nor have i seen a ufo, however, the chances of there being other life forms is far more probable then that of a biblical ''God'.'
I just don't see how its possible that Earth is the only place in the supposedly infinite universe that has life on it. That doesn't add credibility to the "witnesses" of UFOs, but it wouldn't surprise me to know that what they say is true.
but that's not the point. good message against theists.
@DontEatTheFish73 I agree that it's statistically more likely we are not alone in the vast reaches, beyond where we've been and seen. I just don't think that intelligent beings from another world have visited our planet, abducted people (following a sci-fi script as they do it) & left no physical evidence. Hope that distinction is clearer :)
Funny how four guys all decided to wait 60 years before they wrote their "separate" accounts down, and they all remembered every word of every conversation...60 years later. And they were all, pretty much, word for word verbatum of each other. I don't know about you, but I can't remember word for word conversations I had 1 year ago, much less several years ago...even the life changing conversations. I remember the gist of them, but not entire speeches.
im an atheist too but they probably wrote it like an biography thing. in biographies they don't actually remember the conversations word for word but they make itup to get the point across.
If you can get people to believe in Zombie Jesus and SkyGod Crankypants or little green/grey men with anal fixations, then you can get people to believe in anything.
The trick is the you can use the subjects above as a meter of their gullibility.
When you want someone to believe something that is utter nonsense you just need to keep increasing the promised reward for adherence to the lie.
Why would people lie to gain followers? All of this spreading of the word of Chirst resurecting happened in the threat of death by the Romans and Jews.
What about it? You know, historical context?
Does it even matter to consider historical context?
Show us one single eye witness account of Jesus performing a miracle, just one. Granted that's still flimsy evidence but we need to start somewhere, so give us one.
@FlyingFree333: Or better (and easier) yet, I keep asking "christians" to name a single, first hand, independent source or reference about jesus. And I concur, we could start with that... And yes, I do not capitalize the words "christian" and "jesus" out of plain disrespect.
Having followers is the entire purpose of religion. It's just politics with the blame shifted to invisible, unknowable beings instead of wrinkly old homophobes who blow guys in bathrooms.
Followers = power.
The Romans don't even know who Christ was. If you had studied any Roman history they kept very detailed records. Even if they nailed some guy named Jesus to a cross for a petty crime, there is no contemporary record of any attempt to stifle anything.
People lie to get followers all the time (like Politicians) Look at Scientology for example. Their "religion" is based off of the sci-fi writings of L.Ron Hubbard. Are you freaking kidding me now? To say why people would lie to gain followers, that's how cults get started and the popular cults become "religions".
Hey smarter (got your email btw) Watching my obese, only somewhat educated, non-theologian, non-clergy, petty grandmother run a cult - & later realizing it - has made me aware of how desperately people WANT to follow.
Yup. They believe in evil alien souls and sucking the money out of everyone. Kind of like the Abrahamic religions but without Zombie Jesus and Skygod Crankypants.
The Apostles didn't even write the Gospels; the earliest ones were written a minimun of 70-90 years after "Jesus." So, you have the problem of second hand information long after the fact. In spite of hundreds of witnesses, we still can't agree what happened in Dealey Plaza 46 years ago.
The gosple of mark was written at latest by 62 AD, 32 years after the death of jesus. It is believed that paul wrote the book of acts by 37ad. Ragardless of a 62 year 0r 7 year difference, this is hardly enough time for a story to become mythologized. And what can explain the thousands that abandoned their traditions to follow christ? Not for a lie.
You're kidding right? You can walk into any high school and ask kids about someone who went to school one year before they got there, and you will hear wild stories about people they never knew.
There are even accounts of people being at a place where a miracle was purported to have occurred, yet even if only 100 people could actually have been present they can find 1000 who said they were there.
How do you explain the millions that abandoned Catholicism? That abandoned Christianity for Islam? Mormons? That only a third of the world believes in Jesus and there are 35,000 different Christian sects?
Mark may have been written that early, but scholars (depending on who you ask) date the others as late as 100 C.E. Thirty two years is plenty of time for events to become mythologized; especially in a time when word of mouth was how most accounts were spread. Ever play the game of "telephone?"
The telphone game argument does not stand up to historical context. Oral tradition was the form of communication. When something was spread by the word of mouth it was highly unlikely that room for error was allowed. There are many examples of why the telephone game argument does not stand up to historical context. It would be beneficial for one who has an interest in this topic to study the Jewish oral tradition, as well as all Jewish tradition of that time to have an understanding of things.
sorry to tell you, Christianity is bullshit. Just because an ancient man from years ago says "I saw Jesus take a shit" doesn;t really mean he saw it. Just read the Bible and you can tell it's just a lot of shit, it's fairytales..learn that.
Its not special pleading. Some folks are not educated on the historical context of the time. They therefore come up with conclusions that seem plausable. Just because something is plausable does not mean that it is true.
Sounds like you dont belive in the abductees. There are no parallels between UFO sightings and Christ or his followers. For many reasons. When you walk, talk, and eat with a man, see him die and re appear after he has told you he is coming back, you dont just think you have seen it.If the senses of the apostles were decieved and there was clearly a lie, then why did no one in the region, who were familiar with Jesus, say "no you are wrong, this did not happen"? Why did Jews abandon traditions?
@belipo I am skeptical of them, because they make extreme claims. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and I find it insufficient to justify belief. Likewise, even if Jesus & the apostles had existed, AND I'd been alive at the time, I would want more evidence than them just saying "Hey, remember Jesus the dead dude? I talked to him last week!" I would want more evidence. I don't know why you're content with so much LESS. (Oh wait, because "faith" is all you need, right?)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I'm not dying for a iie.
I'm dying for a lay- that is- a lay with you!
Oh, of course, I could be deceived by an unrealistic hope that such a hot babe like you would ever want to have sex with me.
But, could I be deceived by an aging slut, whose 'little one' was caused by the abduction of an egg, in your aging womb, by the sperm injected by an alien apostolic hard cock delivering the message?
I don't know! I was just wondering due to the state I've evolved to, I guess. I wonder?????
I looked up stats on sightings and abductions a while back and it blew my mind. Since 1947 there have been 30 *million* claimed abductions in the US alone, an average of 500,000 per year.
Yet as the number of cameras in the hands of the public has increased, digital surveillance is everywhere, and *commercial* satellites photograph the earth, there's still no evidence of visitation.
Since we can create ghost sightings and aliens by stimulating the brain with electrical impulses, sightings of aliens and bigfoot could be as simple temporal lobe epilepsy or, in the case of groups, some kind of discharge that scrambles the brain for a moment.
It's quite easy to put a bunch of people who saw "something" together, get one person to define that something and the rest of the flock jumps on their claim.
In this age of cameras we should have video evidence by now.
The apostles are as fictional as Jesus. The four gospels all give different lists of the twelve apostles. The "Acts of the apostles" only mention four of them and concentrates on two. None of the Apostles die in this work.
Celsus, the Greek writer, writing about 180 knew nothing about the death of any of the apostles. He did know the story of the apostles all abandoning Jesus. Around 205, Tertullian knew stories of the death of some apostles. Apparently they were written between 180 and 205.
@rigotech Of course people choose not to believe. UFO claims are roughly equivalent to claiming a zombie apocalypse happened and somehow nobody noticed. The odds of visitation are really low, and the abductions serve no logical purpose. If they want to know about us, they could just ask. If they want to conquer us, well, it would be like today's U.S. Army fighting the Roman legion. Better tech would win out easily.
I was not suffering from sleep paralysis or hallucinations when I was 10 years old when intense pulses of blinding white light knocked me from my bicycle as my older cousin watched in horror. I saw the tears running down his face as he left me on that dusty old trail that morning. I agree their are alot of nutcases and wannabe's purporting alien abduction but what happened to me was real but I wish it was not.
@CountDollarz Right. Aliens traveled the massive distances between stars for the purpose of poking a child from a technology-creating species with a stick of some sort. Either you're delusional or lying. Not to be rude, but this alien abduction thing probably is a fantasy, either wishful thinking or covering real trauma.
2nd, (pseudo) alien abductions are actually human military illegal experiments on other humans without legal consempt
3rd, Intervening in other race's evolution is not ethical. An advanced alien race would never interfere with such self-destructive morons we still are as the dominant species on this planet.
how do you know they just dont want to come check us out .. like we do our oceans poking whales, tagging sharks .. jacking creatures from are darkened depths for tests ..
why not.
im sure that out of the million people there is one abductee in there ..
seen a craft .. no man could of made that .. I believe..
@rigotech You should take a look at Michael Shermer's videos about ufo's. The difference between us poking whales with sticks to study them and aliens is the tech level. Their tech would have to be vastly superior to our own just to get here, and even a cursory inspection would demonstrate that we're at least a semi-intelligent sapient species. Coming here to abduct people is just too illogical and pointless. They could learn all about us from a library book, why not abduct those instead?
Yes, even the writers of the gospels claimed that the apostles didn't recognize Jesus when they supposedly saw him after the crucifixion. The gospels are a story anyway, borrowing from other religions, contradictory in many ways, and yet written (poorly) to inspire people to believe. Jesus goes fantastically from being the Messiah in Mark to God Incarnate in John. Why should we believe them? Would most Christians believe such stories if they came from another religion? Probably not.
I do not believe in god or ghosts. I DEFINITELY do not rule out the possibility of alien life.
But i do have my experiences in energies, positive or negative, I can try to explain one and other, but it'd be difficult without making it sound silly...which it already does xD
I don't rule out aliens either- I don't think they're traveling thousands or millions of light years from their home planet to confuse individual humans, molest the occasional bovine, and keep their presence completely undetected by any serious scientific endeavor. Before you say something is out of this world, be damn sure it's not something in this world.
Eyewitness evidence is very iffy in court. A quick wikipedia click can show you how the counts deal with eyewitness information.
Not very much!
As to aliens....They are in my house...Items move and nobody moves them....And yet they move...It must be aliens because there is NO WAY my wife would EVER move anything. >.>
We cannot GUARANTEE that aliens are not here because we cannot confirm or deny the presence of aliens in general. Never mind the specific!
How can you think alien abductions aren't real?? They're here, living among us, and trying to take over!!!!!
lol, I do believe in life somewhere out there, the idea that we are alone is improbable to say the least. Alien Abductions?....um,..no...lol do I think they've ever been on this planet? There is a SLIM possibility, but, no, I doubt it completely.
I just wanna say that I have enjoyed watching your vids.I just found your site last nite. You are obviously a very intelligent person who raises alot of good discussions.

@AngieAntiTheist how you could possibly know for a fact that there aren't "little green men" 150 billion light years away from where you are right now beats me.
kayinesstube 1 year ago
@kayinesstube I don't know it for a fact. I also don't know for a fact that there isn't a giant teapot circling Jupiter. All I meant to suggest is that there's no good reason or evidence to suppose little green men have visited us. Besides, someone was asking my personal opinion on whether or not I thought life existed elsewhere. I doubt bipedal humanoid looking life evolved elsewhere, but that doesn't mean no intelligent life. I just doubt it would look like us very much, from a different planet
AngieAntiTheist 1 year ago
@AngieAntiTheist It's just hard for me to understand how, from your perspective, out of hundreds of billions of galaxies, quintillions of stars, an infinite universe that may have been created from other preexisting universes, that only one planet, in one galaxy out of hundreds of billions could rotate a star close enough to the earth's pattern to provide conditions for a humanoid life form to develop, but that this life, unique to one planet in one galaxy out of trillions ... has no purpose.
kayinesstube 1 year ago
@kayinesstube Instead you assume that all those billions upon billions of galaxies are here for one tiny, insignificant species that happened to evolve on a rather insignificant planet orbiting a rather typical star, were all designed to what - be pretty for us? To think WE are the center of/purpose of the universe is truly egotistical, IMHO.
AngieAntiTheist 1 year ago
@AngieAntiTheist That was my point. They aren't here to be pretty and could very well serve a purpose, as habitats for other intelligent life. Either as advanced or more advanced than the "insignificant species" on this "insignificant planet".

MrOmniFreak 1 year ago
@MrOmniFreak When asked about the credibility of the scriptures, clerics willfully provide deceptive half-truths and what may seem very profound answers, however the answers will be meaningless.
It is deceitful of clerics that have attended seminary, not to teach parishioners the truth about the texts.
All of your big name scholors that promote Christianity are criminals. They willingly lie to innocent people to make a dishonest living, and it is criminal!
PhysicsGuerrilla 1 year ago
But the gospels were public, how could someone change them if people could so easily notice?
And how do people know that they are a "rewritten ensemble of inaccurately translated, recopied, plagiarized, and fabricated texts." I wouldn't know where to begin anyways.
And how can you be sure about the seminary? i do not know much about them, but they are not the only group of historians and theologians, I'm pretty sure this is more of a historical issue, than a theological.
MrOmniFreak 1 year ago

I know a guy who is well known in UFO circles because of his story and I know that he believes he is telling the truth. If aliens exist then the bible can't be true in my opinion for at least 2 theological reasons. But you make a great point...we can interview them and yet still not believe them.

On top of that I have corroborating evidence from 'ex'-Satanists claiming that hypnosis is a tool for Satanists/demons to possess humans. Too much to igno

AmedesTheKing 1 year ago
do you believe that zeus or odin existed or are still existing? im prety sure u dont,do u have more proof of those gods not being real than of your god??
gods were created by men to explain things they dont understood
the proof its that gods have been changing over time along with the human changes if there was a god it would NOT change with humans.
Draehorx 1 year ago
Allah is just as unrealistic as any other god...Zeus? Odin? Buddah? Hindu? God? Allah? They're all different names for the same idea...an old explanation to things humans couldnt explain in ages past...today, however, we can, and it goes against all thoughts of common sense to think that there'd be a god. It's like believing in elves or vampires, no one ever sees them, but there're far fetched 'proof' of their supposed existence through time. Religion will die out once humans mature though

The trick is the you can use the subjects above as a meter of their gullibility.
When you want someone to believe something that is utter nonsense you just need to keep increasing the promised reward for adherence to the lie.
Eventually you end up with followers.
-- formerly ReasonIsMySword
smarterthanyoulook 1 year ago
Why would people lie to gain followers? All of this spreading of the word of Chirst resurecting happened in the threat of death by the Romans and Jews.
What about it? You know, historical context?
Does it even matter to consider historical context?

Show us one single eye witness account of Jesus performing a miracle, just one. Granted that's still flimsy evidence but we need to start somewhere, so give us one.
FlyingFree333 1 year ago
@FlyingFree333: Or better (and easier) yet, I keep asking "christians" to name a single, first hand, independent source or reference about jesus. And I concur, we could start with that... And yes, I do not capitalize the words "christian" and "jesus" out of plain disrespect.
uglyandbad 1 year ago
Having followers is the entire purpose of religion. It's just politics with the blame shifted to invisible, unknowable beings instead of wrinkly old homophobes who blow guys in bathrooms.
Followers = power.
The Romans don't even know who Christ was. If you had studied any Roman history they kept very detailed records. Even if they nailed some guy named Jesus to a cross for a petty crime, there is no contemporary record of any attempt to stifle anything.
Only later scripture make such claims.
smarterthanyoulook 1 year ago
People lie to get followers all the time (like Politicians) Look at Scientology for example. Their "religion" is based off of the sci-fi writings of L.Ron Hubbard. Are you freaking kidding me now? To say why people would lie to gain followers, that's how cults get started and the popular cults become "religions".

The Apostles didn't even write the Gospels; the earliest ones were written a minimun of 70-90 years after "Jesus." So, you have the problem of second hand information long after the fact. In spite of hundreds of witnesses, we still can't agree what happened in Dealey Plaza 46 years ago.
ChuckyJesus666 1 year ago
The gosple of mark was written at latest by 62 AD, 32 years after the death of jesus. It is believed that paul wrote the book of acts by 37ad. Ragardless of a 62 year 0r 7 year difference, this is hardly enough time for a story to become mythologized. And what can explain the thousands that abandoned their traditions to follow christ? Not for a lie.

You're kidding right? You can walk into any high school and ask kids about someone who went to school one year before they got there, and you will hear wild stories about people they never knew.

FlyingFree333 1 year ago
Mark may have been written that early, but scholars (depending on who you ask) date the others as late as 100 C.E. Thirty two years is plenty of time for events to become mythologized; especially in a time when word of mouth was how most accounts were spread. Ever play the game of "telephone?"
ChuckyJesus666 1 year ago
The telphone game argument does not stand up to historical context. Oral tradition was the form of communication. When something was spread by the word of mouth it was highly unlikely that room for error was allowed. There are many examples of why the telephone game argument does not stand up to historical context. It would be beneficial for one who has an interest in this topic to study the Jewish oral tradition, as well as all Jewish tradition of that time to have an understanding of things.

Why did Jews abandon traditions?
belipo 1 year ago
@belipo I am skeptical of them, because they make extreme claims. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and I find it insufficient to justify belief. Likewise, even if Jesus & the apostles had existed, AND I'd been alive at the time, I would want more evidence than them just saying "Hey, remember Jesus the dead dude? I talked to him last week!" I would want more evidence. I don't know why you're content with so much LESS. (Oh wait, because "faith" is all you need, right?)

Apparently they were written between 180 and 205.

seen a craft ... seen a ball of light ... recorded some ufos ...
i just keep seeing them .. you tell me what they are
all i know is that there some weird stuff that happens to people and others choose not to believe .. o well ...
rigotech 1 year ago

Gordonisgreat 1 year ago
@CountDollarz Right. Aliens traveled the massive distances between stars for the purpose of poking a child from a technology-creating species with a stick of some sort. Either you're delusional or lying. Not to be rude, but this alien abduction thing probably is a fantasy, either wishful thinking or covering real trauma.
DauntlessNullifidian 1 year ago
i guess im one of those delusional people ..
i dont remember getting abducted but it all cant be a sort of imagination..

Not to be rude, but your wrong. Good luck to you.

@CountDollarz
What a worthless claim. Back up your statement.

@countdollarz
And by that, I mean the "but your wrong".
Not the original statements. If you're doing to say someone else is wrong say why.

1rst, ufos are human military ships
2nd, (pseudo) alien abductions are actually human military illegal experiments on other humans without legal consempt
3rd, Intervening in other race's evolution is not ethical. An advanced alien race would never interfere with such self-destructive morons we still are as the dominant species on this planet.
4th tesla + lyne = ufos'r'us
easy math :)

how do you know they just dont want to come check us out .. like we do our oceans poking whales, tagging sharks .. jacking creatures from are darkened depths for tests ..
why not.
im sure that out of the million people there is one abductee in there ..
seen a craft .. no man could of made that .. I believe..
rigotech 1 year ago

Hey Angie, have you read Ezekiel chapter 1? It describes what is blatantly an extraterrestrial craft. KJV sounds best.

That's not an alien moving your items its a poltergeist derrr.
