I use the gnasher all the time but the sawed off is a a life saver when your the last man standing ...stop complaining about it and get over it, i always come across some one with a sawed off just use your rifle or wait until they shoot and gnasher them...the sawed off is easy to use but it's easy to sponge it and it only holds 4 bullets and takes time to reload. if you was that skill full then someone with a sawed off shouldn't have a chance!

The Sawed off shotgun ISN'T broken. Sure its powerful, but you need to be just infront of the guy for it to be any good, that's the balance it has, its very powerful but you need to be right infront of the guy for it to work. That places you in a very tight spot because if you even miss with it you are open to any sort of attack since it takes ages to reload and pray to god you don't fuck it up.

Just today I played a game of Capture the Leader and EVERYONE ON THE OTHER TEAM had SAW-OFF's no joke so it was impossible to kill any of them. They all hid in corners with our leader and ALSO had RETRO LANCERS so they completely prevented my team from getting our leader back. In addition they hid near the grenades so take caused a even BIGGER problem. It wrecked my day :(
This is why I don't play versus multiplayer and just play Horde with friends. And I also don't use the sawed off because you basically have to get within melee range or else you might as well be using a squirt gun. The sawed off is good for flanking Maulers at close range.

There is nothing wrong with the sawed off. It serves one purpose. To balance the goddamn gnasher. In gears 1 and 2 how most people got merked was when the opposing team rushed in with their gnashers and cleared the room cuz you just Can't win against that. Now the sawed off balances it by forcing people to keep a distance from it. SIMPLE. Now the opposite, say u got rushers with sawed offs, Keep Your Distance they only have 1 shot where as the Gnasher has way more than that OR just use a rifle.

Well IMO neither of the shotguns take skill to use and I've gotten killed by the nasher more times before but I will say that the sawed off takes a lil bit more balls to use since you have to be VERY close in order to use it and if you miss you're more then likely going to be a free kill. Not to mention it's reload time but still this is just my opinion.

If I had to be honest the Gnasher is the gun that's overpowered. I mean think about it... You got a mag of 8 shells that do vary high damage even at almost rifle range which is crazy for a shotgun, So you can really just shoot and shoot until your target is dead and still have a few shells left over. Not to mention the Gnasher has fast firing and reloading time. So you got all that and you complain you get killed by a gun that takes little effort to aim but has only one shot and a long reload.

@Mindroach Lmao, I hope that you realize 0.3 seconds is less than a third of a second. The Retro downs faster than any other gun other than the Gnasher's one shot down, yes, but it isn't THAT fast. It may down in less than a second, but it doesn't down in less than a half of a second, and it's only if you are very close. It's hipfire is fucking terrible ever since they nerfed it and it's range is very delicate. Too close and shotguns dominate it. To far and Lancer/Hammerburst beat it. It's fair.

These are my theory's that will disprove it : In terms of ammo, ammo clip size , fire rate, and range and reload speed the Gnasher is victorious . The only good thing for the the sawed of is that it is easy to blind fire and it is more powerful at close range.

sawed off is very capable(only gib, wide spread) but also very incapable(2 feet range). gnasher is capable(8 feet of range, 1.5 damage for headshots) but also incapable(2-3 shot kills). its personal preference since the update in my opinion. It was really OP before the update but i think Epic did a good job on the nerf.
Great vid man, I agree with everything you said. The thing that I hate about the sawed off so much is that they can only get one kill at a time(unless they get lucky). So what I don't understand is why they even use it? The gnasher is so much better but since they only killed ME with it. Just garbage. And I even got a message from a guy with the sawed off who I kept killing with my gnasher that said "scrub".

Just today I played a game of Capture the Leader and EVERYONE ON THE OTHER TEAM had SAW-OFF's no joke so it was impossible to kill any of them. They all hid in corners with our leader and ALSO had RETRO LANCERS so they completely prevented my team from getting our leader back. In addition they hid near the grenades so take caused a even BIGGER problem. It wrecked my day :(

This is why I don't play versus multiplayer and just play Horde with friends. And I also don't use the sawed off because you basically have to get within melee range or else you might as well be using a squirt gun. The sawed off is good for flanking Maulers at close range.

There is nothing wrong with the sawed off. It serves one purpose. To balance the goddamn gnasher. In gears 1 and 2 how most people got merked was when the opposing team rushed in with their gnashers and cleared the room cuz you just Can't win against that. Now the sawed off balances it by forcing people to keep a distance from it. SIMPLE. Now the opposite, say u got rushers with sawed offs, Keep Your Distance they only have 1 shot where as the Gnasher has way more than that OR just use a rifle.

Well IMO neither of the shotguns take skill to use and I've gotten killed by the nasher more times before but I will say that the sawed off takes a lil bit more balls to use since you have to be VERY close in order to use it and if you miss you're more then likely going to be a free kill. If I had to be honest the Gnasher is the gun that's overpowered. I mean think about it... You got a mag of 8 shells that do vary high damage even at almost rifle range which is crazy for a shotgun, So you can really just shoot and shoot until your target is dead and still have a few shells left over. Not to mention the Gnasher has fast firing and reloading time. So you got all that and you complain you get killed by a gun that takes little effort to aim but has only one shot and a long reload.

It may down in less than a second, but it doesn't down in less than a half of a second, and it's only if you are very close. It's hipfire is fucking terrible ever since they nerfed it and it's range is very delicate. Too close and shotguns dominate it. To far and Lancer/Hammerburst beat it. It's fair.

Video Fletcher: I see your point in saying that the sawed off-shot gun is a useless wankers gun but most people will say that it is in complete balance with the Gnasher shot gun. These are my theory's that will disprove it : In terms of ammo, ammo clip size , fire rate, and range and reload speed the Gnasher is victorious . The only good thing for the the sawed of is that it is easy to blind fire and it is more powerful at close range.

@VideoFletcher Oh okay i see what you mean...i think...that is, if you mean that the Sawed is pretty much one hit kill then yes i see but isn't the Gnasher a one hit kill and if it's in the head at close-ish range.

sawed off is very capable(only gib, wide spread) but also very incapable(2 feet range). gnasher is capable(8 feet of range, 1.5 damage for headshots) but also incapable(2-3 shot kills). its personal preference since the update in my opinion. It was really OP before the update but i think Epic did a good job on the nerf.

Great vid man, I agree with everything you said. The thing that I hate about the sawed off so much is that they can only get one kill at a time(unless they get lucky). So what I don't understand is why they even use it? The gnasher is so much better but since they only killed ME with it. Just garbage. And I even got a message from a guy with the sawed off who I kept killing with my gnasher that said "scrub".

@roydeboy95 low range yes but its really easy to get close even coming from behind them, is has 4 shots not 1, it has fast reload time if u active and its a one shot no aim kill. gnasher has more ammo, barley hurts from over 5 feet u also has to know how to aim ur gun cuz it does not have a spread shot. the sawed off was made for noobs even cliff said it was made so the lil guy can get a kill

How can anyone be a 'noob' because they use a certain gun? The Sawed Off has its good points and its bad, just like the Ghaser... They're just as good/bad as each other it all depends on the person play style and before you type "OMG YOU USE THE SAWED OFF YOU'RE SHIT" - I don't use it all teh time, I use it depending on if I feel like changing and the map. Just wanted to say :)

I can't believe so many people or pissed about the sawed off. I liked gears 1 and I loved gears 2. even with the hosts problem. And you no what I did I stepped my game up. And I never wanted to be hosts just so I could show my skills and beat some one with the advantage in the game. And I use the gnasher all the time. Stop crying its just a game
