I related closely to this video when I first found it about a year ago as I not am not only a published astronomy artist with award winning art "coming closer to the far away' but I have also been graced as born with the Ken Nordine and Don La Fontaine radio voice. What more could I ask for in life than to get that much better? Mark Seibold Retirred IT Tech Artist Astronomy Educator Portland Oregon
it all came full circle for me after i'd been taking classes at the IOtheatre and watching tons of shows and illustrating them, like months after i'd even thought of wordjazz, in the middle of one of the improv sets by one of the teams i really liked, they poked fun of it and the crowd was so like upper-echelon shmarmy-marmy that they all laughed. the joke was basically "what the fuck is word jazz, anyway!?" but i liked it. i liked that they mentioned it. and you KNEW those fuckers LISTENED.
so as i was saying, i discovered wordjazz on public radio in chicago, either when i went up there to be a journalist in '04 or maybe last year when i went up to become an improv actor. or both. i'd be driving around in the middle of the night and sometimes, i wouldn't know when, there was just this....this. this voice on the radio. and i'd be fascinated. so resonant yet playful and the acting was so great you didn't know if it was acting or what. real play. and experimental, aurally.

If I ever see you, I am going to run the other way, run fast, very very fast....
Sometimes there's a reason to do things the way everyone else does, sometimes a very good reason indeed....
and now I'll be going as well.....
