Sometimes the old Beatles songs strike just the right cord - when he broke into She's Leaving Home when I saw Paul in concert I SCREAMED with pure joy.
I love him but I wish he would go back to playing more Wings and solo stuff on tour!! band on The Run, Venus And Mars, Ram, London Town, Tug of War, Flowers In The Dirt, ..etc. I love it!! I'm tired of hearing him breeze through the same old Beatles "hits". Let's hear Smile Away, or Back seat of my car or Morse Moose And the Grey Goose or Girl"s School!!!!

good to see even young kids singing every word.goes to show how much they impacted the world. dont see many older people singing everyword of fitty cent,or other rap crap
Not nessescarily. The abbey road medley is amazing.. but then at the same time, the songs on let it be are pretty good too. There's no *best* beatles album, the beatles are just the best in general
Revolver was a landmark in recording techniques. It was in revolver that the ADT (Automatic Double-Tracking) system was used and invented. It was in revolver that backwards effects started being used by the beatles. If you listen very closely to the mono version of Revolver, you notice that everything was double-tracking, you notice that the cymbals are backwards, you ear the fade and then sound explosion in the end instead of the sound explosion in the beginning and then the fade.. wait a bit.
@baseballer1149 as I was saying.. It was on revolver that the flanger effect was invented and it was in revolver that the way of recording the drums was changed, before revolver, there was 3 mics to the drums, in revolver and after revolver, each drum had a mic for it, and hi-hats had a mic for it. As I said, it was a landmark in recording techniques.
I've got to say Abbey Road was their best. The compositions of lyric and melody were much more intricate, classical and memorable. Abbey Road really showcases their maturity both as a band and as master songwriters. (No doubt, George Martin deserves a bit of credit, too.) That said, all their albums were great.
I think they should have the words to all the songs flash up on a screen. Even with the old school, little bouncing ball that guides your tempo. You can see more than 1/2 the arena are dying to sing along & can't even though they're familiar with the song.
The people in the audience say it all, just look at all the different age groups and different reactions then imagine what it would be like if all four Beatles were on the stage it would blow your mind.
Me too! I teared up just watching kids' faces light up. Just goes to show how relevant the Beatles still are and that people of ALL ages and nationalities love them.
I completely agree- I have never seen a more happier, jubilant audience at a concert like this one. I wish John and George were still alive and well, for I'm sure they would have reunited a couple times for a big concert like this one. I would have done anything in my power to get tickets for it.
Yeah, I saw one on here of him doing "Magical Mystery Tour" as an opener, possibly this same tour, and by some of the young kids reaction in the audience you would have thought it was the mid sixties! That's pretty amazing considering.
just watching this video you can see the people singing like in a church singing gospel songs to jesus you can notice the effect that creates the beatles in the people not only in old people but even many young people even crying, no group ever has that effect on people to such a degree that ever
There are alot of celebrities in these McCartney clips. I've seen Rick Ruben, Billy Joel, John Cusack, Clint Black, and more. Even the best of the best go to see Sir Paul.
I stand corrected, and I knew that, don't know where my brain was....I am in process of moving...so thats all i can attribute it to....ty for that......I don't mind being corrected...specially when it comes to music....:)
the permanent cuts to the audience suck extremly. also it looks like they've casted it to be divers in race age and social status. really, sucks a lot.
Hey, bencw05, as a recent mondial poll 76% of the planet think that the Beatles were the gratest band of all times...sit down on your finger and take that!
this is piss taking, this is an amazing gig, but I'm not going to buy it, because the editing is shit, and I want to see more of Paul's playing than the audience's reactions!
It's very simple. Paul is one of the best bass guitarists in the world, and when he plays, it's so personificated, that anyone else's bass part sounds imperfect. I think he's the best ever. Whenever I listen to him on stage (live) I can't help my tears.
I know what your saying and I am a die hard beatles fan..but the best bass guitarist ever has to be john entwhistle from the who. however pauls voice and of course his songwriting is the best
"She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" is a song written by Paul McCartney (although credited to Lennon/McCartney) and performed by The Beatles on their album Abbey Road. The subject of the song is allegedly a real life event, with a fan climbing up to McCartney's bathroom window
i'm pretty sure it's just distorted due to when the person converted it to an avi or what not, generally I think paul just has the natural Hofner sound (very woody) going through some vox's
