thank you this was very useful! first song I'm trying to learn is from your godfather waltz tutorial, and I hit a little roadbump when jumping to the Bb major chord, keep posting more videos!!! :D
Hi. I don't know if you will find this useful, but there was a discussion on accordionist. org about evening out the tension on the strap by the placement of a short dowel. You may want to take a look and see if it might be a good solution for your too loose strap.
currently learning nantes, and to play the song in the original key i have to jump from the last to the first row, i can do it when playing slowly, but it is very difficult to do it fast
how about *really* big jumps? for instance in hotel california you need to go from 1 bar of F# (doing the root 5th oom-pah thing) to a bar of G? I know ill get it perfect with lots and lots of practise but its still annoying lol
i played piano for well over 10 years but ive only been struggling with my accordion for the last 6 months, looking to accumulate as many tips as possible for my left hand techniuqe
top tip for shortening your strap. Try pushing a pen or a pencil in the top/botom of the strap, just above/below the ridge where the strap meets the accordion.
Thanks for your tutorials, been watching intently.

Good job. Yip, it's also all muscle memory... practice, practice, practice. That's how I've learned all the jumps.
