  • thank you this was very useful! first song I'm trying to learn is from your godfather waltz tutorial, and I hit a little roadbump when jumping to the Bb major chord, keep posting more videos!!! :D

  • Hi. I don't know if you will find this useful, but there was a discussion on accordionist. org about evening out the tension on the strap by the placement of a short dowel. You may want to take a look and see if it might be a good solution for your too loose strap.

  • Good job. Yip, it's also all muscle memory... practice, practice, practice. That's how I've learned all the jumps.

  • currently learning nantes, and to play the song in the original key i have to jump from the last to the first row, i can do it when playing slowly, but it is very difficult to do it fast

  • how about *really* big jumps? for instance in hotel california you need to go from 1 bar of F# (doing the root 5th oom-pah thing) to a bar of G? I know ill get it perfect with lots and lots of practise but its still annoying lol

i played piano for well over 10 years but ive only been struggling with my accordion for the last 6 months, looking to accumulate as many tips as possible for my left hand techniuqe

  • thanks man, this was really helpful

  • you are such a great helper.

    thx for the video

  • top tip for shortening your strap. Try pushing a pen or a pencil in the top/botom of the strap, just above/below the ridge where the strap meets the accordion.

Thanks for your tutorials, been watching intently.

  • FIRST!!! Finally
