Trouble is mate, that in the real world you WILL be judged on your ability to communicate using the written language, and its always the first thing people use to have a pop at, when having an arguement. Did you watch the aftermath on BBC2 afterwards? I seems the studio audience, after interviewing Maj, thought Sir Alan made the right decision. I think you need to remember that the edited version we get to see, is very stage managed. So if it looks like someone is safe, you can bet your life the programmers intended it to look that way.
