@jonathan8156 I agree. Don't get me wrong, i still enjoy Bleach, but you get to watch Ippo get stronger and train to be better. You witness him growing as a boxer and when he finally gets to fight and wins, it's much more rewarding. Bleach has flashier fights but it's usually just someone magically powering up and winning. Typical shonen.

I've seen all episodes of Ippo + New Challenger + The Big Three (One Piece\Bleach\Naruto) and I agree that Ippo probably has the best consistently well animated fights out of the four, but Bleach \ Naruto \ One Piece all have much better "Fuck yeah" moments when they release their new Bankai \ Gear \ Mode which Ippo anime to this point has been sorely missing.

@Kyuubi424 yea some of the moves are unrealistic but they are derived from famous combos... like ippos dempsey roll is basically a combo of right and left hooks over and over while opponent guards... they basically added the over dramatic weaving thing for anime enjoyment if u will

watch his fights again, you'll see that he often blocks and take up defensive positions. besides defending, he's going offensive too. remember that the best defense is offense. in boxing, if you're always on offense then of course your enemy is in defense. so he can't throw punches, but you do. and eventually his defense will break then your throws can go in.
