This is one of my favourite films, so underappreciated. What a great neo-noir thriller, Macy's best performance and an emotional rollercoaster.

An exploitation film with philosophical pretensions.

The first hour is essentially a rehash of Falling Down with a healthy dollop of sex and violence. The protagonist seems to go through some kind of Camus-esque existential crisis.

The ending was pretty good, but I was left a little uncertain as to the film's message which was a garbled mixture of meditations on destiny and fate.

I'd give it 2/5 :)

I caught the last 5 minutes of this movie on IFC last night. I was completely haunted by it and I LOVED it. They replayed it at 3am but I was dead tired. So against my better judgment I didn't watch it.

...I've learned my lesson. I just want to see this movie.
