I loved the whole game, until i got to the ending. :( I expected to actually have to fight the adephagos, since it was mentioned as the great evil of the game. I kinda' felt cheated. :/ But i would still play it over and over again because it's a great f***ing game! XD

I just realized, probably the only real difference between the protagonist and final boss is their hair color. Personality wise, they both pursue the same goals through different methods, strictly adhere to their own brand of justice, both are jaded with society and other people. Hell, they even BOTH WEAR BLACK. We need a ToV 2.

What an Anti climatic ending. After the great Animated sequence i thought we would at least get to see how the world would react to not having blastia. Did the guilds, and the knights ever come to an understanding? What would happen with Karol,would he be acknowledged as a guild leader?, Would Nan return his affection? Would the citizen's of Myorzo settle back on the planet, would Judith join them? What would happen to Ravens heart? Instead we get stills, and credits? Bamco follies again.....

This ending was okay, I still have to say Abyss was the best. More emotional and leaves better questions. Not to say Vesperia wasn't a good game, it was a remarkable game. But as far as story goes, Abyss makes the better mark.

I beat the game today, and these were my facial expressions after beating duke... :D - :3 - :] - :) ... :| . And no, it's not that the ending was bad! It just made me ask "that's it?" I was really expecting something that would make me so anxious to watch what happened after the credits, kinda like in ToA when you just are DYING to know what happened. But I guess I'm just not used to this calm, wow! We did it with NOTHING sacrificed! Yay! I loved the game though... sad it's over D:

Closest one would be between Yuri and Estelle thanks to at least three scenes.

Then Sodia's seemingly one-sided devotion to Flynn.

Karol and Nan are pretty much directly stated.

Judith flirts with both Yuri and Raven but well...she's a Krityan. Different species.

Maybe...Alexei and Khroma but that's pushing it.

if you've got a ps2/PS3 you should definitely play Tales of the Abyss. It's a masterpiece.

Just be wary, there is a glitch on some ps3's that freeze the game at a certain point. It seems to be random which PS3s do it, though.

So yuri tries to get rid of the adephagos- fails and Duke (with his awesomeness) comes and saves the day, yet in the end everyone goes like 'YURI YOU DID IT' NO IT WAS DUKE YOU IDIOTS, that is the thing i hate about the ending.

Well, I mean, what do you expect? He rejects humanity and attempts to use them to fuel the weapon against the Adaphagos. You can't really expect all of them to immediately praise him for finally deciding to do the right thing.

when raven joins the party after trying to kill them when he was schwann they accepted him. He rejected humanity because him and his entelexia saved humanity and then humanity turned against them and killed his entelexia. How can he not hate humanity affter that. And now he has just saved it a second time so yes he deserves praise.

there was alot of unanswered questions and half finished story lines. I really loved the game and the characters, but you dont go around playing an RPG like this for the awsome gameplay (considering its repeative and gets boring) you play to progress the storyline. the storyline felt unfinished and yet there was no idication of squall.

It's not that the ending was BAD... It somehow just wasn't satisfying. Partly it's because the characters are all so likable and their tale comes to a sudden stop here in what strikes me as a really Disney-type moment. I think the moment the world is saved doesn't seem... epic enough. All the build-up and it seems like it's all over too fast.

And I still don't know why it's a feather, that kind of left me in a WTF state for a moment when I saw it. Though the credits were nice.

True, I can see what your saying. ToS ending was nice, just a little cliched. ToV didn't give you that sort of ending feeling though, like ToS did, and it's actually a game I think that a sequel to would make perfect sense, since they'd have to find a way to live without the blastia.

I'm well aware that I'm probably the only one who thinks this but....Why haven't they turned ANY of these games into actual anime? They do such beautiful little story parts and openings/endings so why not make a few series of these things? Oo I for one wouldn't mind seeing an anime or two based off these games w/ the same art style. I beat the games and I'm always dissapointed by how few anime scenes there are in them :/ I wish they'd make these into a series or two...
