Her name is Minamitsu Murasa in Japanese, but in English we flip it over to Murasa Minamitsu. Just like Sakata Gintoki is called Gintoki and not Sakata.

I read something interesting that explains her ladle. Murasa is likely a Funayuurei, a person who died at sea. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about them: "They are the ghosts of people who have perished at sea. They approach people on boats and ask to borrow a Hishaku (柄杓), a utensil for scooping up water. If they are given a ladle, they will pour sea water into the boat until it sinks."

It more than explains her style of spell cards (and their names to some degree). :)

And if it were a larger ship like a cruse liner, then the people on board would have time to sail back to a port before the ship was even half full.

Trouble with Patchouli and not with Murasa? That sounds extremely weird. Patchu is pretty straight forward, but Murasa has a lot of patterns which makes it a lot harder, and also faster bullets.

And the worst part is also after depleting all the life bars. Patchu has nothing like that to her advantage.

I play through normal all the time... her timed spell card is difficult but I honestly don't find her at all frustrating... All of her spellcards are pretty simple, I'd have to say some of Stage 3's spell cards gave me more trouble.

Still, that doesn't make her the easiest Stage 4 boss. In my opinion, the easiest stage 4 boss would be either Patchouli or Satori. Reimu/Marisa and Aya are OK, but if I were to pick the hardest stage 4 boss, then it would be either Murasa or the Prismrivers.

Instead, she created something of a magical replica of the boat where Murasa died, telling her that she was the only one capable of manning the Holy Palanquin.
