And last I checked, the auto tune effect doesn't come from short microphones like that, they're longer microphones for performances. The problem with auto tune is that most people don't have the ears to distinguish when it is being used, which is why it's used EVERYWHERE now. Shania Twain and Allison Krause DON'T need autotune, yet it is definitely used here. Artists need to stand up and stop letting producers make these decisions for them. As long as people can't tell the difference, it will continue to be used.
