For me, Digimon ended with season 1. I can't even bring myself to watch more than a few episodes of season two, and I know for a fact that I'll never watch any of the other seasons. The thing is, I fell in love with the original cast. What they should do is make a new second season, a proper second season, where the original cast has the leading role, instead of being sideline monkeys to those new kids. That's all I want... that's all I've ever wanted... just a proper second season..... *wimper*

Masaru NEVER changed in the least. Touma got vuage development, Ikuto got development as long as he was a plot device, then was ignored. And Yoshino only exists to be 'the girl', and got next to no focus.

Well, Masaru changed, but he is one of those guys who don't admit it. He is like the Marvel Version of G1 Grimlock, who is pretty smart but acts less intelligent than he is because he thinks intellectuals are weak. Touma became a different kind of jerk.

I'd hardly call it development if the character doesn't act like he's developed. It might work for some characters, but Masaru doesn't even hint at it. Ikuto really had the most development, but after he obtained Ravemon, he pretty much just stopped and became less and less important. I mean, Ikuto and Yoshi shared their Burst Mode ep, which isnt all that bad...but there was barely any buildup to it, and it was one of the most poorly animated eps. It's like they didn't care anymore.

Masaru was clearly smarter later on, thinking more often. And knowing why he really fights.

Ikuto and Yoshino still developed, just with less focus.

Epi 43 had build up as thex wanted to save them all. And it was a fun Epi, especially important after the really bad Epi 43.

Anf given the whole Goggleboy and Lone Wolf Deal they usually have, giving those two BMs was a really nice touch. I mean look at Frontier. That was pretty much the Takuya and Kouji show, with the rest being helpless.
