For example, you say that we should be speaking German if it had not been for the Americans. @fishguru73 The original stance of the Americans during WWII was isolationist. This means that the US had no interest in the war and had no intention of getting involved. The only reason that the Americans entered WWII was because of Pearl Harbor. I am not trying to discredit the American contribution post-Pearl Harbor but to credit the USA for stopping the Nazi invasion is not only arrogant and misinformed, but it dishonours the soldiers from all the other nations who gave their lives in WWII

I know I generalized, but they did actually pass a law recently in Texas or Carolina or somewhere - that reduces the amount of Science taught, in favor of crazy religious bullshit.
You're right saying it's not everywhere, but trust me there are some places that barely teach any science anymore.
