Thank you for the post and I can relate, I have vision problems (no depth perceptoin or perphial vision) and I am also a high functioning autistic and I was accepted with VR but they will not help me in the things that I need and have been very rude with me as well as dept of socal services which turned me down for disability because im in college. But I am unable to drive a car and i have motor nerve problems. I do not like how these services treat applicants as subhuman its humiliating.
Yeah. It's not like I can help it that I have MAV, and for them to deny me based on that disability is really disgusting. Since Voc. Rehab and DSB have both been very nasty to me, I am having to do without the most of the accommodations that I desperately need, and am having to learn Braille through Hadley School for the Blind by correspondence instead of through an in-person Braille tutor. It is terrible how these so-called social-service agencies treat those with disabilities.
Yeah, I have gone through the Client Assistance Program, and I still am.
I am having to teach myself, and have Hadley School for the Blind, teach me all the things that they are supposed to be teaching me.
