  • It even funny cause raziel was getting manipulated

  • Mobius :and the fact that Kain the sole survivor of his vile breed (I dont get it. Mobius is the 1 who killed Vorador which doomed the pillars since kain needed to sacrifice himself to restore them making the vampires extinct and now hi is part happy that the vampire breed is stil alife

  • @RobinJanssenBelgium : no he meant, that kain is the only survivor of all vampires... he only even needs to kill kain and than they are all dead- and thats the reason why he is fortunate - this idiot xD

  • "I didn't think so. Either way, you lose..."

    Fucking badass.

  • I laughed so gleefully the first time I saw this scene, when Raziel pwned Mobius at the end!

  • It was an illusion created by Moebius to influence Raziel :D:D

  • wow, raz is really perceptive in this scene, unlike in defiance....

  • I agree... Raziel in SR 2 seems to be much more clever and cunning than that of Defiance. Many of his dialogues leave their counterparts puzzled and even silent, like the one with the past Elder God in which he mentions the possibility that he might not even be resurrected, but rather never destroyed at all and the Elder God was simply there to take the credit.

In Defiance, he seems to be a lot more disoriented, and some of this events aren't even mentioned again. Script problems? D.R.

  • @Hasfast couldn't agree more.

  • That's not Moebius' soul... it is an illusion to confound Raziel. Elder God raises Moebius once when he's beheaded by Kain, then Kain kills him again and then his soul is devoured by Raziel. This is the altered history cause in the "original" history there is no evidence that Moebius was brought back to life.

  • Raziel devouered Moebius soul. I think in the time , Moebius died and his spirit remained. Elder god raised moebius in Soul reaver 1 era, or in Blood omen 2 era. Its complicated. Visit my site : kainthevampire . piczo . com to see there !

  • It was an illusion.

  • i dont know that exactly, but if others in the stronghold in the future were dead, maybe just moebius spirit remained .And moebius dispared immediatly when raziel was prepared to devour him.

  • Kain kills Moebius. Moebius is revived (Defiance), but tries to hide this and uses the illusion (above) to fool Raziel.

  • Defiance shows his actual soul being devoured by Wraith Raziel, just after achieving the purification of the Wraith Blade (Sarafan Raz?).

It's an illusion meant to avoid another paradox and manipulate Raziel for the Elder, a failed attempt at that.

  • Defiance happened between BO and SR, Raziel didn't consume Moebius' soul during SR2.

  • This is an alternate timeline, but the ghost of Moebeus is only a trick. Amy Hennig herself said that in some F.A.Q.

  • Yeah, you're right, the fate changes way to much. Funny now its "immutable" but changes (:

  • Actually, it is moebius's ghost here

This is an alternate timeline than that in defiance

The fate changes alot in this series...it's complicated

  • btw, moebius is not a ghost here.

    :Spoilers:

His real ghost was devouered by raziel in Defiance.

  • ... the timeline have not been change yet... it is a ghost... and if it's not, then what it is?

  • I believe that this ghost is in fact the Moebius Kain slaid in Blood Omen. We all know Moebius to be a trickster, so he was probably lying to Raziel when he said this was because of his inability to kill Kain.

  • could it be that the time line changed when raziel didnt kill kain, and thats why he still live at the end of defiance whenhe should be dead seens that moment.

  • @Phovoz No, Kain's death or sparence by Raziel would not change the fact Moebius was killed by Kain's younger self, that event still occured. Moebius was resurrected by the Elder God as a reward for his services later on in the timeline, until he was killed by Kain again at the end of Defiance: which took place just moments after the collapse of the pillars. Ironic that someone got to kill the same person again after living another 2,000 or so years.
