  • @Rockrocky09 I know, I meant to type that. I had a herp a derp moment. But because of the other comments it got thumbs-upped and everyone is flaming me for it. I KNOW PEOPLE, IT WAS A MISTAKE!

  • if you want to know how dumb canadians are, this was on ctv news this morning 3 YEARS AFTER IT HAPPENED

  • Hahahahaha so much open water too.

  • To those without boaters license, when both boats are under their own power, (rules dif for sail boats), the larger less maneuverable boat has the right of way. The smaller one will have a quicker response to any input by the captain to divert. Both Captians are responsible to change course regardless, but the smaller one here should be at fault for not even tempting to divert.

  • ahiii pesante....bello ammaccone

  • You can make an argument for either boat but the simple fact is both of them are fucktards if they cant steer away a little bit. And anyone who calls me stupid probably owns something below 25 feet anyways, so get the fuck out.

  • all that sea and they still crash wtf

  • Even though the oncoming boat was the Stand-On, he should have noticed earlier that the other (camera boat) wasn't going to give way. Always assume the other guy is a "Numpty" (My Yacht Master Instructed was Scottish) was what i was told!

  • Regardless of "fault", both skippers are equally fucking stupid for allowing this to happen in the first place. Thousands of square miles of ocean and they still found a way to hit each other. Absolute idiocy!!

Go and play with your toy boats in your bathtub instead, guys. It's a lot safer too.

  • How the hell does that happen? As big as the ocean is, and they still manage to have a collision... O_o

  • so ehmmm... who's fault is this?

  • @syikie IT was the fault of the boat in the foreground, the one the video was shot from. The other vessel was ahead and approaching from their starboard side, so they had the right-of-way and the foreground vessel was the "give-way" vessel. That said, the master of the other boat also shares some of the blame, for failing to maneuver to prevent a collision when it was clear the foreground vessel was not going to give way.

  • how hire these guys fuck there stupid firer them hirer me... pirotes paradese

  • @jeepbui Who are you to call anyone stupid when you can't even spell correctly?

  • @McLovein504 at least i can drive my yacht and know i will not do such a stuiped thing like that pirotes paradise rules

  • look like no one was hit by the other bost

  • Big boat wins again! ha!

  • HAHAHAAHAH YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME !!! DUH !! YOU CAN SEE EACH OTHER FROM HUNDREDS OF YARDS AWAY !! AND YET THESE 2 FUCKING DUMB MOTHER FUCKERS JUST KEEP ON FOR A COLLISION COURSE !! STAY HOME AND PLAY WITH THE TOY BOATS FELLAS !! HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHA

  • the guy on the right had right of way, but this guy should have diverted his course if the other guy didn't. they're both equally responsible.

  • lol.. captan#1" i have the right of way" captan #2"i have the right of way" fail.

  • c est QUOI

    CES 2 GROS cons ,

  • FINISH HIM!

  • both captain are idiots. Specially small boat one , that was a full throtle , full of passenger , and without EVEN pay attention to the biggest incoming boat , also an idiot guy. None of thetm deserve be captains. Both has time to see what mess was about to come.

  • Sig Hansen should open a driving school.

  • @askjerry Sorry I meant that he is the give-way vessel. But like I said, who gives a shit? Is it that hard to turn your boat? Don't count on the other boater to know what to do. By the way laws are different for rowboats so not a great example

  • well someone obviously fucked up

  • The smaller yacht has more control of his boat's direction, therefor has the right of way. However, when I am on my boat, I don't play by those rules. I usually move out of the way as well, am I going to let someone else be responsible for the health of my boat? Both boats are at fault. Shame it has to happen, Of the thousands of miles of water to be in you had to be in the 50 foot span of danger....

  • @WIMEvideos The LARGER boat has right of way... the smaller boat is supposed to yield. Think of a sea liner and a rowboat... you would never expect the sealiner to turn to miss the rowboat... it works the other way. The captain of the smaller boat screwed up... he should have throttled back and avoided the crash.

  • @WIMEvideos The bigger boat has the right of way? Absolute nonsense. In this case the other boat had the right of way because it came from the right side

  • Comment removed

  • @WIMEvideos bigger boats have right of way you tard, do you think cruise chips move out of the way of people's personal putt putt private yachts?

  • OWNED!

  • Hmmm, I guess both Captains was drinking champaigne and talking on the cell phone... Take a closer look...

  • Yeah, the "first person" boat should have given way-- it's just a shame that neither boat was an exocet.

  • generally they both should have 'given way' as then it can be clear of your drection and once you pass you can head straight back on your path.....they are just twats they could probably see them miles of. what possesed them to decide to just head in to eachother i the first place

  • I LVOE it.... "WELCOME to another episode of Rich Armenians on Vacation..."

  • lol :D There are so much pleace but the Kiss the fronts :D This suck''SSS

  • I guess that dude standing in the nose of the smaller vessel is happy to be alive....

  • jak to sie stalo? specjalnie?

  • jednak polacy są wszędzie :)

  • they had the hole oc and dumb jerks in the smaller can't figure out how to go around

  • 0:04 krrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • polusy sa wszedzie trzymaj się kurwa mac :D

  • The boat to the starboard definitely had the ROW. However, the captain of the smaller boat should have been aware that the larger yacht was not going to yield and taken evasive action. Sometimes you can be right: dead right.

  • looo kurwa!~!!

  • I understand there's water rules I was in the Merchant marines but one thing i've learned there if there's a bigger boat coming your way get the fuck out of its way.

  • How do you go about swapping information at sea? O.o

  • Fuck, you see that....that little boat came out of no where and it never even had its blinker on. Seriously, the entire fucking ocean and this happens. God I love all the stupid people and what they have made youtube today.

  • Fuck u stealing my video then getting more views on it prick look up boat crash on my channel posted in 2008

  • trzymaj sie ! Ja pierdole ! heh

  • DRUNK DRIVING FTW!! :D

  • There's another rule of the water...if you are little boat...screw the rules...stay clear of larger vessels...you will lose.

  • @russellcroew LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!! Here we call it common sense.

  • really stupid...the video is too short to rate...but, what are the "drivers" looking for to allow crash almost front to front???

  • Excuse me, do you have any grey poupon?

  • These guys deserve a award for actually pulling this off!

  • More than 2/3 of the earth is covered in water, and these two idiots manage to crash into each other. WELL DONE LADS!

  • That's a whole lot of ocean you have around you... just sayin

  • somalian pirates we

  • As the the small boat from right was crossing, the yacht should have given way. Of course; they should at all costs avoid collition.

  • Once in a life time. You gotta do this!

  • How the fuck can you possibly do this? So fucking stupid.

  • WSZEDZIE POLACY I NASZE PIEKNE SŁOWNICTWO "JA PIERDOLE" haha

  • the one at starboard has right of way (the yacht) however you always have to do everything you are capable of to prevent a collision

  • Never, fucken never, pass in front of another vessel... Unless you're like 50 meters away lol... It's just plain unneccecary to cross in front of the other goddamn vessel...

  • the yacht who got totally crashed were the one doing it wrong. You always go right to right on the sea no matter what. Too bad for them they were so dumb going that close to eachother!

  • First off; Idiots crashing into eachother; I can't give a fuck because both were stupid.

Secondly; Rich people getting hurt; OH LULZ!!

  • hope it was a rental

  • hahaha losers^^

  • What a bunch of fucking retards..

  • shit was so cash

  • How do you manage to hit anything at all out on sea? Gotta be hard even if you try.

  • I bet the "drivers" were female.

  • NOW BACK TO THE G0:00D PART!

This is the song, of captain Jack Sparrow

  • NOW BACK TO THE GOOD PART!

  • Hahahahahahahhahahah!!!!

  • you scratched my anchor

  • This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow

  • Alot of money.. but no brains.

  • what flag is on that small boat? egyptian?

  • Another drink, captain?

  • The video boat is the "give-way" (to the other boat, the "stand-on vessel") vessel since the other is in the video boat's 120 degree area from dead a head to 60 degrees off the stern. The give-way vessel makes no effort to comply with the rule turn to mitigate the crash. The stand-on vessel did what it should have- stay on course (even it seems as though it should have taken evasive action - it is supposed to stay on course). The stand-on boat took a pretty good punch and survived.

  • oh dear what will one tell father ..........oh well 2 weeks pocket money should suffice.(all kidding aside the both boats are to blame its just that they way like im not moving no im not moving either!!! showing off gets you owned lmfao at you pair of tits!!!!!!!!!

  • its ok they can just buy another one

  • The earth contains 326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons of water, this is about 70% of it's surface and then 2 jackass's on a 40ft boat manage to crash? Someone fetch me a fuckin pint !

  • who had the right-a-way?

  • what an idiots are these people .... :)))

  • che botta!

  • fuckin dumb ass rich people. is it really that hard to avoid ships? you can see them far enough in the distance not to crash the damn things

  • THIS RICH GUY IS SUCH A BITCH !!!!!!

  • Hahaha hows it feel you rich pricks

  • People really are stupid. I mean, you have the whole ocean. Not restricted to a small road lane. How hard can it be not to collide with another ship?

  • You have the entire ocean to sail in and you hit something...

  • Bad seamanship X 2......

  • And the first thing they do, before anyone bothers to go "are you alright?," is to shout at each other.

  • nella navigazione internazionale la barca che viene da dx ha la precedenza

  • THE OCEAN IS HOW BIG!? LIKE CMON WHY EVEN TRY TO GET THAT CLOSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, COCKY RICH ASS BASTERD DESERVS THIS

  • @Kiiirk92 ye that was very stupid of them but they are humans just like you and you do mistakes to or else you would not CAPS LOCK "COCKY RICH ASS BASTERDS DESERVS THIS"

DUDE you are over 18 go do something with you're life instead of getting pissed every weekend

  • @Kiiirk92 Why you hate rich? Socialism?

  • im not even gonna lie.... that was pretty cool

  • If a sailing boat and a power driven boat mets or something the powered boat must alweys yield as long as it is driven by sails.

If two power driven boats meets staright ahead they must boath turn so the other boat is on there left side.

If two power driven boats meet like this the one that have the other boat on its right side dont have to turn or stop.

And if another boat is catching up with another its the one that is cathing up that must turn.

    This is what I remember.

  • @bollenjr

Sorry to tell, but you are wrong bc:

International Sea - laws tell that, if two motorvessels ways cross, the one who has the other on its steerboard, is in the duty to turn claerly, early as possible und in minimum about 30 degs.

  • @Jator77 I know I got confussed becouse when me and my dad met a big boat who was guity to turn we did it instead since ussualy big boats think they have "free pass" becouse they are "to big to turn".

  • @bollenjr

ruddermen of bigger vessels often think that way... and of course its better to go beside, if a big "pot" comes among, but in case of a crash the courts handle it following the laws...

  • Typical reaction of the guy moving on foredeck of the bigger boat. Instead of trying to help or ask if any wounded are onboard the smaller one (and be shure there where a few wounded) and he hears the children screaming, he has nothing other things to do than to shak a fist into the direction of the one, who had the law on his side....

and this skipper used the autopilot, bc you see no-one on the flybridge

  • It would be even more funny if I herd alarms going off and it sank. Still funny.XD

  • and yes, screaming at each other will help a lot, too...

  • "HEY BUDDY...YOUR WAVE WAS RED!"

  • he would be a real bad car driver..

  • how the fuck can u hit that?

  • As far as i can see the little ship had right of way, as it was the "give way" vessel.

Crossing situations When two power-driven vessels are crossing, the vessel which has the other on the starboard side must give way and avoid crossing ahead of her.[4] The saying is "If to starboard red appear, 'tis your duty to keep clear".

you can read more here: en.wikipedia (dot) org/wiki/International_Regulations_for_Preventing_Collisions_at_Sea

    yours,

    dan

  • @Smithyards my rule bigger boat goes first

  • @Smithyards, your first lines are wrong mate! the small vessel is not the "give way" she is the "stand on" vessel, the vessel which takes this video is the give way vessel,,, the small vessel which has the right of way had some lapses as well, its a collision course already but she didn't take action to avoid collision, eventhough she's stand on vessel. maybe its an indian sailors onboard,,,

  • @pmma04 I do apologisee, It had been a llooonnggg day when i wrote that comment :P

  • @Smithyards Boats that are much larger than others are given right of way as they cannot stop like others and do not have as much control.

  • @freshstateofmind Thats not the way it works, huge VLCC's have to give way to puny fishing boats if they are fishing. I've had a huge ass container ship give way to a small ferry i was on before now.

  • @Smithyards Do boats whit engines have to wait for a crossing boat whit sails?

  • @strang3h Any motorboat has to keep well clear of a vessel with sails

  • @Smithyards The big boat is anchored.

  • @PicklesReallySuck If the big boat was anchored it would not have been moving forward.

  • @Smithyards you are right that the little ship had right of way, but ur saying makes no sense. the PORT light is red :P starboard is green

  • Comment removed

  • @Dusty2K6 No, what it means is that if you see RED on your starboard side then you move out of the way, because your on the vessels port side. its a little confusing i know :P

  • @Smithyards its the ocean.. ya know... that body of water that covers i dunno most of the planet. you'd think either of them would've seen each other loooong before hand and well... turned? lol

  • @FreonRose Yeh, its not like they had the WHOLE ocean to drive around on or anything XD

  • the one recording it has the right away so its the other ones fault

  • I'm no expert but the big boat only has the right of way in a narrow channel, and this looks like the open ocean. So in that case my understand is that whatever vessel sees the other at starboard (right side) must yield and take action to prevent the collision (the big boat must stop, turn, do something). Also powered vessels must give way to vessels engaged in fishing (not sure if the little one was).

Can an expert confirm the starboard starboard rule and that this was open water?

  • idiots

  • Were they Greek Captains??? LOL

  • ahah virare no? ha... capito autoscontri in acqua bello!

  • captains were playing chicken...epic fail!!!

  • das rechte boot hatte vorfahrt

  • One word FAIL

  • I sincerely hope that no one of the lower classes were killed or otherwise maimed or whatever ,

but all Mariners should know to make way for the larger , more expensive luxury Yachts. I kindly suggest chartering a private jet next time .

  • should have bought a bigger yacht.....

  • i see the dutch flag

  • dumbass little boat is supposed to give way to the big boat but apparently didnt know that

  • I think the smaller boat had the right of way. the larger boat does not costitue a big ship that would have the right of way

  • ha ha, in your ****ing face!

  • what are the odd of that? BIg Wild Open sea and the two small little yacht crash head on!

  • like a good nieghbor statefarm is......not there obviously

  • im betting arabs....

  • hell, and I thought i could pass the guy!. I'll know better next time. Glad all you folks enjoyed.

  • Dear Insurance Company,

I filmed my own accident by failing to give way to the boat approaching from my right.

    Sincerely,

    Guy At Fault

  • @raginh8r Big ships ALWAYS have the right of way - they CANNOT stop or turn on a dime.

  • im on a boat motherfucker take a look at me oh shit!! (crash) im on a helicopter bitch

  • japierdole

  • i would want to be on da big boat

  • That was a quality crash!

  • Did they board the smaller boat and borrow their bitches?

  • the sea is very big and the brain very easy...

  • Both skippers were drunk and on drugs. First mate on the smaller boat was actually masturbating at the time.

  • @southbristolsfinest : Are you an investigator for the Marine Accident Investigation Board? No. So how do you know this accident happened in the manner described? I enjoy masturbating and drinking, but have never crashed a boat in my life.

  • WELL,THEY'RE COMING FROM STARBOARD. SO IT'S THE FILMING YACHT THAT SHOULD HAVE AVOIDED IT.

  • omg soooooo stupid

  • Wtf is the kitchen doing on the sea?

  • Floating under the influence

  • Popeye must have got the straw jammed up his nose when they collided!!

  • god i would hate to be on that fishing boat

  • He had time to film it, but not turn the boat? DUHHH

  • take that and that

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!

  • the small boat did have the right away

  • @cfmx121 How'd that right thing work out for him?

Big ships ALWAYS have the right of way, because they cannot stop or turn quickly, and when they hit you, you sink!

  • i mean the boat cammed from haha ;P

  • Rich boat owns :P

  • is that croatiian flag on little yacht?

  • How is this insurance fraud? hey let's endanger lots of people including children to scam some ins money. You all are retards.
