  • ...I don't believe... I don't want to take even heartburn medicine... Instead drinking milk

  • I have a song I wrote that I'd like to share. Its called "Little Girl".

  • while I did not lose my child, I too took effexor during my pregnancy, and my son, now 6 is severely mentally and physically handicap.

  • Why are physicians prescribing psychotropic drugs during pregnancy? There are natural ways to support emotional and mental health during pregnancy. The drug companies are the largest lobbying group in Washington, by the way. I would not expect a retraction, as it is sadly all about money to them. To this family, my heart felt sympathy.

  • I can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I am on effexor now and I want you to know that if I get pregnant (not a remote possibility) I won't wait a minute to stop taking it -- because I saw this. Thank you for sharing.

  • @margelia03 It would be best for you to wean off of it and be off of it for years before you get pregnant. The meds can alter your serotonin levels (elevate them) for a long time after you get off, and possibly cause damage to your eggs.

  • I'm liking it not that I like it but so that it'll get more veiws.

  • mys on was born in 2006 and was an effexor baby, he was born 5.5 weeks early and 9 pounds also blue, he wasen't breathing. After time they were able to save him but he has always had issues that his older siblings never had including the birth. My older children were not effexor babies. I just found out I am exspecting again and i'm still on this drug what can I do?????? is there something natural I can take to help me make sertonine while pregnant? I pray for this family

  • i was taking prozac throughout my pregnancy as the doctor told me not to stop i was also told they were safe , my little boy was born at 29 weeks and now has servere brain damage , i live in the uk the hospital have tried to blame me for my sons condition , is there any help or advice out there ,id like to make the doctors admit there mistakes

  • I can't understand why Effexor is still used so widely when it is one of the ones with the most issues! It landed me in the hospital when I was taking it for depression. I felt so HORRIBLE for a few weeks after stopping it.

With all these warnings, why are doctors still allowing people to take this while pregnant when there are other things to do that have less side effects?

  • im sorry for your loss </3

  • Seven years ago my third son was born an Effexor baby. We were lucky he was born without breathing difficulties, as I was on a very high dose throughout my entire pregnancy. He went through severe withdraw and was later diagnosed with sensory integration problems after having two adverse reactions to vaccines. These drugs are dangerous and ineffective, whether you are pregnant or not. Holistic treatment got me permanently off antidepressants and helped my son recover over time.

  • I was on Effexor and I had severe hyperemesis during my pregnancy which ended in the first month. It was so bad that I couldn't even hold water down- They put me on an IV which helped minimally. Not sure if the two are related but would like to know because I don't think I would ever get pregnant again if I had to deal with that.

  • I am truly so very sorry that this is going on in the world. I feel so blessed that I stopped taking antidepressants when I did in the beginning of my pregnancy, I simply am not strong enough to survive the death of a child. Matthew is in my prayers as is his family always.

  • That makes me cry :(

  • Thank you for sharing your story. It can't be easy for you talking about this but more awareness needs to be bought about this subject. It's pure evil for doctors to give this to pregnant women when this is the end result. R.I.P little one xxx

  • I know what poison that stuff is from experience, but I can't even begin to imagine the bitterness and loss from something like this.

  • I'm on prozac now and never plan on giving birth (adoption ftw) but was this from withdrawals from the medication?

  • @twistt It was caused by PPHN caused by Effexor exposure, not withdrawal, he never even got a chance to nurse.

  • you have no idea whats in medication that youre putting in your own body, nevermind a poor helpless baby that relies on you for nutrition. its poison i never even took an asprin through all 3 of my pregnancies its not worth it to risk your childs life i hope people learn from these videos.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. My 1q2 year old daughter, Kayla, died from side effects due to Risperdal and Zoloft. We have got the end this senseless killing of babies and children. All in the name of money!

  • I'm sorry....there are no words...

  • I took effexor for 3 years wasnt pregnant thank god but that stuff almost drove me insane if I missed one single pill i was having dts <<<<< It took me 4 months to get off of it and i went to prozac and have had no side effects

  • I am so sorry for your loss.

  • Rip Baby Matthew

Your family will remember you forever little Matthew

  • I took zoloft while pregnant with my first. He was born shaking uncontrolibly and after 3 days in the NICU, the doctor decided it was due to an immature nervous system-due to the zoloft.

Today he's 9 and has had epilepsy since he was 2 months old, has never slept properly, has ADHD, and bipolar disorder. His EEG's are routinely abnormal.

I have no doubt that zoloft caused at least some of his issues-and the doctors confirm that.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

  • OMG i take effexor and I miscarried?! I wonder if there was a connection!?

  • sorry to interfere but i would seek legal advice hun

  • We really want to. But I live in Canada. In the only province that you can't sue for malpractice if the person who died has no dependents. It sucks. Not only did they kill my son, I have no way to fight and make his death more than another statistic here or make the doctors and nurses responisble for their actions or inactions. His death needs to matter. Other than PPHN and withdrawal caused by the drugs, autopsy shows us there was nothing wrong with him; he shouldn't have died.

  • @blondeliz06 I would not doubt it at all.

  • That's so sad that this could have been prevented if the doctors were more knowledgeable. So sorry for the loss of your beautiful baby boy.

  • It;s so sad, we really need to put a stop to Pshychiarty and their controlling abuse.

  • Wow.
