my family has some land in shanagolden, which is north of park falls and phillips. right outside of glidden. deer have been down a lot due to the crazy wolf population and eatin all of em. good luck :)
where i go hunting, in late october it's zero degrees and lower in the early morning (half and hour before sunset) and even colder at night (half an hour after sunset) the snow falls in the higher areas, and in november the powder really starts to drop. its somewhat similar to your area.
wow dude , your not going to get many deer sitting there making a video while hunting..good luck this year though..make the video whenever you get one..
ey!!!.... No. I'll take wisconsin over minnesotas developed city life style and enviroment any day.... It's only a matter of time you know before minnesota itself becomes a giant minneapolis..................
It was right around zero degrees a couple mornings, and on a couple days it actually got colder as the day went on. I'm replacing my worn-out pair of Sorels for the season this year so I can do more still hunting if it's that cold and snowy again.
Wow I remember last year in WI for the deer hunting, I was up in Nicolet National forest, which is way north, terrible seanson last year, tooo windy, the deer only moved opening morning and I slept in... one member in my group shot a 11 pointer an hour into the opening morning hunt... cant wait till 08!
I wasn't too far from where you were hunting - up in Iron County on some private land. I had to miss the opening day last year but am planning to be up there for sure this year for the opener. You're right - it always seems to be the most productive day, because as soon as the shooting starts, the bucks go nocturnal. If you're going up again this year, good luck - and don't sleep in on opening morning!
I don't personally care but for future referance if you wear a hat during a gun season in wI the hat needs to be 50 percent blaze orange. just don't want you to get in trouble. btw i personally love the hat
I'm aware of the rule, but I couldn't find a blaze orange fur hat to save my life. I do have one for the upcoming season, so I'll be legal - and warm. Those hats are a little goofy-looking, but they do keep the noggin from freezing.
maby ud see something if u shut the fuck up.
