So as a result of being bored to death and no place to go until we were able to drive, my brother and I started smoking pot in the backyard. Canada is NOT "an enormous almost empty country"--only 5% of the land is arable, and that's where most of our 250k+/year immigrants settle (Southern Ontario and Alberta, Lower Mainland). Our freshwater resources are also finite and already overtaxed.

In Canada, the average immigrant (thanks to the Immigrant Entrepreneur program) is middle-to-upper-income. They are the ones buying the suburban homes and SUVs.

Sprawl is the result of population growth, PERIOD, of which immigration is the driver.

On another note, LOW income housing, have you been to ANY part of Denver to see the UGLY shit houses that were built forty years ago. Hey dope head, did you notice the SMOG in Denver while you taped this? Just one more reason not to live there! I moved from the city to H.R. to get away from the high cost of living but you crack heads can't figure that out. Smaller houses cost more in the city and they are waaaaay less energy efficient. Internal combustion engines have abysmal conversion efficiency, but the output is still substantial for our application.
