I grew up with a male Gordon Setter named Brandy, he was such a sweetheart and protective. He would let us lie down with him, he'd give us lots of company, and every time me and my little bro would go for a walk by ourselves at our cabin he would come along with us. Dad was so grateful of him for that! But sadly when I got into High School he ended up getting hip dysplasia and lung problems and died about a week before Christmas of 2005. I was so sad!!
"they can remember where they found a bird for one year." lol my doberman remembers where she saw a cat for a year. a trait I don't really care for, honestly. haha
a friend has a gordon, and the dog developed severe hip dysplasia at the age of less than three years.. sad.
I had 2 of these dogs before. (Except a little bit more shorter hair). The are very beautiful dogs! I had a boy and a girl. Their names were Duke and Daisy. Daisy had 11 puppies!
Been waiting for a review on the gordon setter on this program. Finally it is here. Have a 4month old gordon setter named Dio. He is wonderful, and eager to learn. Have taken him in to the forest and he show a great interest for Capercaillie and black grouse. Cant wait to start to work with him when the hunting starts!
We have a 2 y/o Gordon and a new 6 month old Gordon and we love them to death! Super playful, excellent with kids, adorable, friendly, and really good at learning commands- we'll probably never get another breed again <3 Definetly agree about the exercise though, if you fail to walk them they will run tracks through your yard
@thekweewee Actually most of the best breeds come from countries other than America because the other countries are older and more mature with more experience (and time) to create good, well-bred dogs.
I have two, Kate & Buddy, they are in a you tube video i posted. Over the years, i have had 6, and can't imagine being without one or more of this wonderful, playful, intelligent, beautiful dogs
the part at 0:11 makes me not like andrea arden because when she says, is there anything more beautiful then a gordon setter, she acts like she thinks she just gorgeous! and i disagree with killaute because, SHE IS NOT PRETTY!
@bigBrude41 Um.. she is just saying that they're pretty. She's not saying she's pretty. Is like saying, "Is he the cutest thing?!" Or something like that.
@ForeignEquus i was talking about her expressions..she acts like she's so cute. and then when you go back to the older dogs they put on animal planet, she didn't have her hair colored, and curled, and she hardly put much makeup on. when you see her now, she has lots more makeup on. and is acting so happy and goofy. she sure didn't act like that in her older vids....
2:03 I have that stuffed bunny. Got it like 5 years ago

Do they have a credible source for gordons having the reasoning ability of a 5-year old?
