My rooster is identical in color to this little guy but twice the size. I feed him corn and dry dog food. He has an entire acre fenced to run around on. I can't tell you how many times he has saved me from over sleeping during power outages.

Its too bad we don't have those kinds of breeding structure anymore for the fowls here in the San Diego Zoo anymore.

Used to be like that and they are just so beautiful. I am lucky to still be able to keep that strain going here though. Very impressive strain indeed.

Again, the crow of this rjf is very nice and clear. I would prefer this crow over the laos strain cuz its more "dense". Great job! Do anybody have these? I have the San Diego Zoo Jungle Fowls, Vietnamese Jungle Fowls, Richardson Jungle Fowls, etc.

red junglefowl are able to fly at long distance like other birds. at night they often sleep in high palm trees. In Malaysia, this wild bird is caught by trap, where the trap contain a domesticated junglefowl, which will challenge the wild cock by crowing. the wild cock will approach the trap to fight with the challenger and get caught.
