wouldn't it have been cool if the marv was equipped with three behemoth turrents instead of that ineffective tri-sonic turret? Or imagine if you will, the three sonic turrets were actually behemoth turrets. Man, I would think that the marv alone without garrison would obliderate(?) spelling the redeemer and scrin epic unit. To bad nobody made a mod for it, of course one could still garrison the Marv.

I have a Nividia 7900GTO (512Mb), it was £185 two years ago but can be picked up for around £60 now. It's a very good card with similar specs to the 7900GTX. It run's this game on highest detail level and handles rencent games very well. I also have a 2.4 Core 2 Duo (E6600).

I would say the Radeon X1950 XTX would be a comparable card to the Nvidia 7900GTO with the ATI slightly winning

you should be good then, this game is over a year old now though so you should look at if your new graphics will handle the new games, Red Alert 3 is out this october so you might want to get that if you like RTS games

yeah definately really loved red alert 2, but yeah im not sure to get 3870x2 when the 4870x2 comes out so its cheaper or just go all out and get 2 4870x2 and crossfire lo but yeah my card right now cannot handle ultra high or anti aliasing whatever that means - it just shudders when i scroll across the screen, when i put it on medium settigns then everything was just like on fulll speed the building the unit movement took me by surprise

You can do it with most infantry. It's a good game, you should get it. Or wait for Red Alert 3 or Starcraft 2 if you like.

opening with a crane is too slow. id begin with barracks -> inf rush or with raffinery for a tank or air opening. gdi orcas rule to harrass enemy harvestes :3

Yeah cause graphics are really that important, especially at the price of game balance. Plus didnt look too bad when it came out in 97.

Good graphics are important, but they don't make or break the game. And yes, StarCraft did look good when it first came out. Sadly StarCraft 2 currently looks like ass due to Blizzard now believing that bad graphics are the way of the future, and StarCraft 1 is too old to be fun anymore.

I still think Supreme Commander is the best RTS of late. Starcraft was okay but too many pseudo-exploits. I nearly headbutted my screen the first time someone Reaverdopped me.

by attacking those garrisoned buildings you also make the AI build more stuff because it is being attacked instead of hitting them where it hurts in their prodution

the fact is this guy is kinda crap firstly hard is really easy in c&c secondly he walked half his infantry through tiberuim thirdly he is pretty slow and lastly he was more intressted in commanding his apc army with like 2 mammoths than the 5-6 mammoths sat up top! that had a quicker and safer route... m8 you should have used the mammoths up top to lighten the defences for the others because they could have done more initial damage than destroying garrisoned buildings....

pretty good, I never ever set up on both side myself, the AI always want the same side as I do, big tank battles for it erupts, then when I come up with Mammoth the Nod gets spanked.

Starcraft's still the best. I have this game but it's nothing compare to starcraft base on game play, strats. Only few strats can be made, game play is very slow. i think the best command and conquer is the red alert 95. you can do micro and macro unlike CC3.

Nice, but you missed some. You need to set up in BOTH corners of the map. You must deny the enemy of any tiberium fields besides their own. Soon they'll run out of funds, and beating them will be easy.
