  • whats the difference between a float serve and an overhand serve...? because i was just watching the overhand one and this one, and it looks the same... someone plz tell me?

  • @kbbles A float serve is harder to receive. Cause the ball tends to drop in front of you before you can even hit it.

  • @bestwishesmaple but what's the difference when trying to do an overhand between trying to do a float serve?

  • @kbbles A float serve can be achieved by stopping your hand in mid air when you contact the ball. Kind of like a jerking motion.

  • I don´t get it! :0

  • he makes it look so easy and understandable but when I try its such a fail.

  • That massive follow-through at 1:06 and 1:10...that's an example of what not to do, right?

  • @MoMo7075 practice makes perfect :) keep trying you'll get it eventually :)

  • Er im a volleyball member 2 but i keep try to float serve in the END < still can,t but i master my jump serve already at 20/4/2011 < i got a competition we win and we got 25/12 ^^ we 25 Ha er but still will try to master my float serve first then i master my spiking ^^ when i master float i will report here Ha ^^

  • Нормально

  • when i just started playing volleyball, i tried setting a float serve. Then i jarred my thumb. just to warn you, never set a float serve

  • Shut up you damn Canadian before i put you in a dark room! Americans are bad ass at volleyball! I kno i am.(:

  • @ashleybarreto12 shes just jealous

  • i got hit in the shoulder but a floater yesterday and it is not fun at all :S

  • who cares where you're from or which team is better!

as long as you know how to play volleyball thats all that matters!

  • could you make a jump float vid?

  • i did this in our volleyballl game, i got like half the points with my servess :)

  • @lovedeleon u play high school or elementary school?

  • @animefan132 high school.

  • @lovedeleon really wow

  • @lovedeleon how old are you and what grade are you on please tell me i got a vallyball game on tuesday and idk if if this will help me

  • @456kaltrina sorry it took me long to reply. but i waits a freshman when i did it, it helped me,

  • i agree....... it looks SO MUCH cooler! lolz! but i play against some teams that do both, and floaters are SO much harder to return

  • mhmm

  • Oh ok,

I know we have one "cannon" that always jump spins, and he makes so many aces with it.. Just because he can do it hard, but if you cant, it would suck indeed..

  • i dont understand.

  • Jump serve is the best.

  • it's pretty hard. You need to have a good timing

  • if your float serve goes low and fast your tossing the ball to low dont blame it on the type of serve, its the most ideal serve for volleyball because if you have a good blocker he can easily set up for a easy block

  • jak to sie nazywa po polsku?

  • nie jestem pewien, ale chyba zagrywka tenisowa

  • meh jump float is better :D

  • how do u do that?

  • just hit the ball lame, weak, and jump while you do it..

So dont toss the ball and then start running and jumping,

but start running, then toss the ball, jump and hit it immediately, dont swing your hand further, and you will have a jump float;)

  • dont do a jump spin though those are horrible..

they are the easiest to pass you just let it hit your arms in the position of the setter

  • They are definitely not the easiest to pass, look a bit at the world championships, almost everyone does jump spin? But you have to got power eh;) So not any1 can do it, that is the important thing in a jump spin, power..

  • im not talking about olympics and stuff im talking more about amatuer and youth, (i would know my team is best in canada for my age)

  • Funny how your team is best in CANADA.

  • Whats your point.. :\ we could beat american teams but they dont have internationals yet. and this is well over btw prick

  • i think he's talking about european volleyball that makes canada look like crap :) lol im just saying ive gone to nationals u 17 club and theres some rlly good teams but compared to when i went to serbia in eastern europe for training it was totally diff...

  • im so kicking as in volleyball now

  • LOL right!!>.. me2

  • thanks
