  • This is beautiful. I love this man.

I was looking at pictures of Frank Zappa last night and thought to myself Shahram Nazeri and FZ look similar.

Please ignore my user name, it is a joke. I am Iranian, but I thought it might not hurt to laugh at yourself.

  • People are different from each other, get over it. When they sing and play and make music that's beautiful it doesn't matter where their grandfather was born or what side they support in life's football match. Salaam! Hatred makes you sick and poisons your kids, bury it.

  • @taghozadehe: jawabe ablahan chamuschi ast,,,,,,,,,,

4everfars is not persian. He is provoker, look at his fake account

  • beautiful,, i listen this all the day

  • I hope i can defuse the dispute by saying that every Kurd including me consider them selves to be part of the Iranian cultural dimention but none consider them selves to be part of the current Islamic republic of Iran.

My country is Kurdistan that have an Iranian culture.

  • Some people write here that I'm Kurd, some other say I'm Persian, cut the crap, Master Nazeri is Iranian and never introduced himself as Kurd or any other ethnicity. If you're just a human being and love cultures then and respect others then just listen and enjoy!!!

  • ich bin ein perser und habe viele türkische freunde. was du sagst zeigt, dass du wie einige von Deutschen, nur schlecht über Ausländer denken, d.h. du weißt nicht, was du schreibst. Daher lasse es bitte sein.

  • HKirmashani you are right. I m living Turkey. Turks say who lives in Turkey is Turk and Muslim. They don't accept other etnicity and beliefs. I'm Kurdish. I want to live in a free country.

    This song is very nice.

  • @serekani , no they say everyone who is a citizen is turkish. you can be kurdish etc. do not distort the facts.

    i am kurdish too

  • واقعاً زیبا و دلنشین اسسسسسست!!!! درود بر استاد بزرگمان ناظری عزیز که برای انسانهای آزاده می خواند.

  • I am a Turkish guy and I like Iranian people and Kurdish brothers. Aren't we all muslims so all we are brothers! Hope one day Nazeri comes to Turkey for a concert. It would be nice to see Nazeri performs with a Turkish musician such as Omar Faruk Tekbilek or Erkan Ogur. Are there any site that belongs to Nazeri? I want to leave message to him. Thanks for upload.

  • Dear Sakartvelya! NO, we are NOT all Muslims. Where did you get this knowledge from, probabely from Turkish school books. I strongely recommend you to study and learn more about Kurds/Iranians. I and millions belong to the pure and origin religion of Kurds/Iranians (Zertusht/Yarsan/Yezdanì). Maybe you shoud ask the Master Sharam Nazeri about this when you see him in your dreams, NOT in Turkey. Well, maybe you see him in Northern Kurdistan/Amed or Southern Kurdistan. Good luck.

  • @HKirmashani why are you so full of hatred.

it is funny how westerners try to find common ground, while we try to find every difference

  • Dear Nabecaydim!

I hate no one. Just being realistic on this. Western contries has many differences in many ways. There common grounds are economic and political. What common ground do you want, you cant put all people by force in a religoius or racial common ground when not every one in Turkey is Turk and when not every one in Middle is muslim. We need to start with accepting a common ground like "recognizing our differences". So dont tell that we are all muslims when WE ARE NOT.

  • We are all humans (not muslims) and this music which deeply penetrates the soul makes us easily feel that we are all one. The differences between us are not but superficial layers that with time covered and sometime even hide our real universal essence of humanity. Love and Righteousness emanating from our soul expressed purely through this music can unite use all and can show us what is right to do.

to think good Humata, to speak good Hukhta, to act good Huveshta. your brother from Kurdistan

  • Mr. Nazeri, my Kurd, Iranian brother. The son of Kaveh, Molana and Sufis of all time. May the mother that brought u to this world and fed you, the father that nurtured ur talent and the land that provided u with the culture, the heart, the soul and the means all be in peace. You are the jewel of our mother land Iran from Aras to Persian Gulf, from Hamadan, Kurdestan to Khorasan and from Sarakhs to Baluchestan. U and ur art are the purity of WE Iranians, our Culture and our land. May God bless u.

  • I am a Kurd and very sorry to read such stupid comments by a minority of guys, Nazeri tries to spread love and some "brilliant" guys turn it over to hatred! Can't you just give the fuckin racism up and read between the lines of his words? words of love, words of wisdom.

  • Just listen to him. He is in a much higher level than our thoughts. He is in love with God. He doesn't care were he is from or which nationality he belongs to. He can see one only.

  • What diffrence does it really make where his from? Kurd, Iran, Norway, Austrailia? I like him because of the music he plays not because of the country his born in.

This is true music, compare this to 50cent.

  • Great Mannnnnnnn

  • SHAHRAM YOU ARE THE BEST.

  • kasi esme in music o midoone chie?

  • Speak for yourself cause I conceder myself Persian!!! I don't know what kind of history you been reading, but research a bit more then talk

  • The Kurds are descendents of the "Medes". Medes and Persians have been united together since the reign of Cyrus the Great (about 2500 yrs ago) so we do have a lot in common.

Anyways, what's really important is that this music is beautiful and speaks directly to the heart of every "Iranian" (and even some non-Iranians)

  • sardari, salari, mardi, shaeri, to ki hasti.

  • Very beautiful

  • whats the name of the song???

  • He is Persian .Kurds are persian they should know . I love Persian classic music ! its so unique

  • well, technically kurds' ancestory goes back to the "Medes" but they've been united and intermarrying with the Persians for a long time and they are pretty much one race_Either way, we are all brothers.

  • You mean to say Irani. Kurda keh Fars nistan.

  • One of my first tastes of Persian music, it warms and calls to a place in my soul that had not yet been touched, or even known. This is beautiful and passionate music made even better since someone was kind enough to post a translation. Thanks, and WOW!

  • dar esghghe ou chon ou shodam

  • shahram nazeri is a famous kurdish singer,he sings in persian because of the political wrath of the kurds, iam not saying he ony should sing in kurdish because he have a lot of kurdish songs but he compeses very little in kurdish so it is worthy of sadness really, nice song

  • He is actually Kermanshahi....He comes from big clan of artists........BUT....does it matter what his background is? Not to me......His my icon!

  • shahram nazeri is a famous kurdish singer,he sings in persian because of the political wrath of the kurds, iam not saying he ony should sing in kurdish because he have a lot of kurdish songs but he compeses very little in kurdish so it is worthy of sadness really, nice song

  • 1001light, beautiful comment.

Thanks to the uploader for this great song.

  • shejda shodam,shejda shodam,and I become shejda to this song.peace,love and understanding

  • Knowledge and education both scientific and spiritual brings man out of ignorance. Lets have the power of reasoning when we want to understand or discuss a point. Mere abuse seldom advances humanity.

Thank you for this beautiful video.

  • Also I forgot to thank the poster for uploading this music, its great.

  • Does anyone have an English translation for this song?

  • I belive the poem is from Rumi (Molavi)

  • Rumi's poems are mystical, sophisticated and full of contradictions of formal language so that their meaning will be lost in translation and I am sorry for not being an expert. A naive translation of this ghazal reads:

I fell in love, I found myslef,

I was lost and I am back,

I am the same as my beloved,

    I was without my beloved,

I found my way through this love

    Folks! Please post your translations...

  • Thank you!

  • Why can't you guys just enjoy such a beautifull work of ARTS? Why do you wantalwaxs bring some polotics- and that in very REACTIONARY form. But on the other hand I can see that too, that our way of expressing ourself has been always like this. Let's be one BODY & MIND, leave alone all the things which can seprate us as KURD or TURK or ANY OTHER FORMS OF SEPRATIONIST. I don't know, if that is possible. But WISHING and IMAGINING IS POSSIBLE. What do you think???

  • It is a great honor to have you as a persian musician, who dedicated his entire life to keep our cultural heritage alive. I've been listening to your music since I was very young, and still, it is the only thing that heals my soul's wound, I found happiness and peace.

    Thank you.

  • To ki Hasti?

  • Eruz vezninin damar zenguleleri

  • This songs goes me to deep of thinking of myself and inside of body also thinking about where i came and going.

  • Wow!! That is deep stuffs !!

  • great work...

  • zendeh bad nazeri

  • whats name of this song?

  • Love and respect to Ostad Nazeri.

    Love and respect to Kordestan.

    Love and respect to Iran.

  • biji kurdistan

  • saranaz1, get a life!!!!

  • peshutir gwem la master nazer bwa ba kurdish gorani witwa ,balam nam zani boo wa dangi azima.kurdistan

  • kurdistan

  • No, this is in Tabriz. lol.

  • Without people like Nazeri how is music supposed to evolve? It may not stick to the tenents of classical Iranian music, but then when did humans stop innovating? Hopefully many generations from now people will appreciate that Nazeri is trying to create something new.

  • Nazeri's influence on Iranian traditional music is undeniable. He is a head and shoulder above all his contemprories. Those who claim his music is not consistent with the tenets of traditional music should perhaps listen to music from the Qajar era.

  • I just wish when Nazeri toured abroad he would introduce himself as Kurdish singer NOT an Iranian one. His self invented "technique" is incohorent, inconsistent and untrue to traditional tasnif singing. Persian classical music is so much better off without Nazeris circus antics. I don't mind him doing his thing so long as people realize it's HIS thing.

  • Nazri is a kord irani not a irani kord.

  • Come on, what do u guys know about persian music, NOTHING! Nazeri is a looser, like u all!!!

  • and exactly what do you know about it genius? First of all music is a subjective thing, what one person likes another person dislikes. There is no set way way to determine what is "good". Second of all Nazeri is considered a musical master by most iranians as well as modern and traditional artists.

  • Im sorry, You´re right, music is really a subjective think. i should not sag that. but i really dont like him, specially when he sing with his "hands". and when he is playing setar, he really dos not play setar as a player should... but he has wonderfull albums wich i relaly like. but this consert was not proffetional.

    peace

  • tjockballen, dont talk rubbish.

  • Great Music!!! Keep Posting!!!

  • Iranian music is perfect...I mean Farsi,Kurdish,Armenian,Beloudji,Azeri etc.For ever unity of Iran. For ever Irani Kurdistan. The best regards from North-West Kurdisdan to all IRANIAN.

  • thanks man ... it heartens me to know we have people like you ... :-)

  • this is iranian music at its best. Just beautiful. It is as though the music touches ones soul and spirit. Ostad Nazeri may you live forever.

  • Just phantastc

I would like to buy this music on cd , who knows what is the name of song on this video.

  • Ostad ast digeh.. chi begim qeyr az oun? :D

  • Beautiful music...

  • Ostad Nazeri: You are the single greatest Iranian artist and the pride of all Iranians.

  • atif 7865 your the best example of ( KHAR CHE DAANAD GHEIMATEH NOGHL VE NABAAT) shoma boro chanta koone khoob bedeh balkeh ayatollah shody, baad beeya az een ghohayeh ziady bokhor, kir to kooneh harchi pasdareh bacheh koony mesleh to, baceh khosghel,

  • I dont blame you for this kind of response. The akhoonds and mullas of Iran are to be blamed who have represented Islam wrongly. Islam is not what they told you in Iran. Islam is not what "pasdar"is. In my point of view These akhoonds should be punished. But all this ignorance does not justify for legitimacy of your wrong belief too. I urge you to use your senses in Understanding your religion and hope you get to the truth.

    Amin

  • complete waste of time and energy.

hope Muslim Umma can realize their real duty to mankind rather than conducting these useless concerts.

  • to boro ghombol kon ve namazeto bekhoon bacheh koon

  • Atif, I very much respect ALL religions, irrelevant of the fact that I'm not religious! But this is music, and there's NOTHING wrong with it. You're supposed to enjoy life on earth too you know! Calling it a waste of time is perhaps a bit too arrogant! Peace mate ;)
