This is a really great piece. I love how it uses the entire range of the piano and the richness of the sound. This is one of those songs that defines the full potential of the instrument. Great job composing it! Do you have sheet music for it yet?
Thanks very much. No I do not have sheet music for this, it would probably take me awhile for this piece because of its complexity. This is about as complex as I can get, it's a fun piece to play.
This was the most difficult piece I composed. I did it over a period of 6 months, a little bit at a time. In contrast I've had songs that I did in 1 day. Usually if I'm focused I take 2 or 3 weeks for a song, but this one was definitely more difficult.
I love this song...I've been listening to it alot. <3
I feel like there should be some sort of excited movie playing along with this...especially around 2:07. That's my favorite part, if I had to choose. (It's kind of hard, because it's all so lovely. ^_^)
Someday I hope I can be up to your level of playing.
Thanks a bunch. I don't get a lot of comments on this one but it was my most difficult to write and I really appreciate it. Have you considered posting videos of you playing? Doesn't matter what level you're at, it's always fun to have people comment on your stuff.
Yea, but then again...it makes it all the more pleasant to find nice people on here.
Ha..suure...I'm listening to your On Italian Shores (another one of my favs from you...I love your work) right now..and I staring at my little first grade book..and laughing...^^; (in a good way)
This one will sound great if you could arrange an orchestra to accompany you. Great man ,loved it. You should consider recording your songs buddy, let the whole world hear your creations!
Creativeness is a talent, right? In my eyes, you really are one of the best. March of the Wounded, Opening Night, and Midnight are among my favorites out of your originals. Keep up the great work.
This is truly beautiful. You should get a record deal. Could you play Runaway by Del Shannon? You play so well I'd love to hear your randition of it. ^_^
Loved the beginning. Strikes a chord in your emotions. "Opening Night." indeed.
Also liked the part at 1:30, but I agree with snipegavain, the middle part sometimes gets a bit boorish, you could say. More changes of tempo and mood, perhaps? More distinctive structure.
Anyways, still, loved it, don't get me wrong. But you gottas critizise the best, so they could get better! :)
I love seeing any comments on my original stuff. This piece took me the longest to compose as I tried to make it my most technically challenging piece to play. It's one I have to constantly play otherwise I forget it quickly.
I really enjoyed the beginning of the song! It's very original, something that I would've never thought of. The melody really all pieced together and flowed along well.
I love the beginning of the song...but not really the middle...kind of cluttered/messy. Maybe it's just the compression of the video file onto Youtube.
Yeah I actually used software called NoteWorthy Composer to transcribe the piece into sheet music. The barring of notes and pointing of stems is all up to the user to define so it may not look all nice and pretty but it's there. Only problem is I have it pasted into Word and when I tried sending it someone it came out all messed up, funny characters and stuff. I'll have to work on that.
lol! i used to use noteworthy, which does a good job of transcribing notes, but its limited in many ways. For better visuals (and more realistic sounds) I'd check out Finale...its expensive real, but try to get it fake.
o My word!!!!!!! u r amazing!!! if u had ur own cd I would so buy it!

Weird, I know I replied to this earlier...oh well, don't be suprised if two show up. ^-^;
No problem, I loved it, so I commented. <3
I have, but I don't have alot of time right at this moment, and when I did I didn't want to because of my low level...^_^"
I might now, though. Yay for first grade players! (Lol!)
You're really nice. =D

Was thinking about it (the recording part) but haven't found a great way to record the grand piano.

Your music is so original and pure. It always seems new no mater how many times I hear it. You're an inspiration.

Thank you. I strive to be unique. When you're not the most talented you have to set your self apart somehow right? I just like being creative.

He probably either wears those braces for support, or he could have Carpal Tunnel; alot of pianists get it.

Try printing the song out, scanning it in and sending it as a picture.
