LTD EC-256: Like the body shaping, reduced weight, and thin neck (neck is reminiscent of a late 70’s LP Deluxe). The distressed finish helps eliminate Spinal Tap Syndrome (“...don’t even look at it!”) Downside: The fret ends are not properly tapered, which detracts from the playing experience. FYOM
Epiphone Dot Studio: Good sounding guitars and they’re cheap. Downside: 3-way switches are occasionally intermittent. See FYOM’s Pearl Inlays video to see how these guitars got their dot inlays. FYOM
Fender Telecaster: The band Mr. Moccasin usually has the studio’s Fenders out on loan, so this is Timmy’s “go-to” guitar when he wants Strat-like tones. Unfortunately the high E string on this “Tequila drink’n” Tele is too close to the edge of the fingerboard and tends to drop off the edge while playing. Also, the frets are not properly crowned, which causes finger tips to catch while sliding up the neck. FYOM
Gibson Maestro Single Cut: Like the hard rock maple neck and the feel of the single bar tailpiece. See FYOM’s Gibson Maestro Guitar Review videos. FYOM
Sears (no name): Picked up this guitar from a Sears clearance catalog years ago. Came back from a Fridge A gig with all of the pickup mounts broken (probably backed the van over it). The plastic Parakeet panel literally keeps the EMG pickups (HSS config) from falling out. Has great out-of-phase tones like a Strat. FYOM

Agile AL2000: Great value at $220. Ceramic pickups are strong and have good crunch – sounds great with the Peavey Vypyr 30 (cranked). FYOM

Epiphone SG: Not a bad guitar, but it has one fatal flaw – see FYOM’s Epiphone SG Pirate Mod video. FYOM
