Nice Driving! Interesting set-up you have to record the video. I made my own camera mount to film my videos in my E46. I like the microphones you added.

hmmm, good question. I feel safer and have better sense for road space. Next reason is that my driving side road is worse than right side. I can earlier view opposed trafic in right corners and have more time to escape. If I drive full left for input to right corner like on race track I can endanger other drivers on public roads like this on movie. So, driving in the midle is best compromise. This is one of reason for driving in midle. This is my driving style.

Road is mine for full width and leng inside safety margins. But, good question.-)))) I never ask myself "why I drive in mid of the road". hm hm...
