Are you implying it doesn't? The wire is insulated with plastic, preventing the electricity from going anywhere other than through the wire. The only loss of electricity would be by heat caused by the resistance, and even then, it would be minimal since transfer of energy through wire is 95% efficient.

u can tell it was a controled explosion somebody fliped a switch or something one the guy holding the needle would of stopted the charge and the nylon wouldn't genarate enough electricity.

you don't need a lot of electricity to cause an explosion. as long as there is a flammable gas and a spark you get a boom. and by the way, i work with electronics and the charge would not have stopped with the host as the wire was insulated. as long as you strip both ends of a wire, you can pass a charge through it without shorting. and i'm not saying that this proves it's real, but it is certainly plausable. i can't say for sure what happened off screen.

It's caused by static charges produced by friction between his hands and the nylon clothes he's wearing. These charges "jump" onto the wire and gets transferred through the wire to blow the thing up.

The spark energises electrons in the wire, causing a conventional electric current - linked to the detonators, thats all thats needed. Considering to make a visible spark you need about a 2000V potential, and that spark is clearly visible, it's not a fake :)
