Ways To End Suffering: Write ideas on how to end suffering to countries governments. Write to governments on ending torture in their prisons explaining that innocent people will be tortured. Social Security's design is the problem. You make the assumption that the Boomers were paying the same rates we are now, that is simply not true. They paid into a system where there were 10 workers for every recipient. Social Security's design is the problem. You make the assumption that the Boomers were paying the same rates we are now, that is simply not true. They paid into a system where there were 10 workers for every recipient. The Baby Boomer Generation is simply too big for the current working population to support on Social Security, it has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. The problem is the design.

It lasted for years before he took over too. And worse, the republican Supreme Court he inherited shot down every reform he tried to implement, for several years. That's what slowed down the progress. The evil that men do lives after them, and that's especially true of conservatives.

The Supreme Court has too many Judges that are far-right biased, I agree.. but you're still incorrectly grouping all conservatives together. The Justice dept. has been overtaken by partisan BS and essentially disabled the enforcing of checks and balances, the Judicial branch has mostly planted far-right or far-left CFR members, much of the Senate and House members are paid off by NWO and/or lobbyists.
Reform must occur... Our founding fathers would be shameful of us.

What we are experiencing right now is the logical and inescapable result of conservatism. In recent history alone, the progression from Nixon to Reagan to Bush to Bush has been one conservative "victory" after another. The situation we have gotten into is INEVITABLE when conservatives rule.

IMO, 60% of the Democrats have been corrupted, vs. 100% of the Republicans. The chance that we as a nation will recover from this seems small. Not zero, but not great either. I hope we do.
Regarding Lincoln, perhaps he made a mistake, should have let the South go. Would have saved a lot of lives, and they probably would have come crawling back eventually anyway. There was no industry in the South.

IMO, 75% of the Democrats running for president have been corrupted, vs. 92% of the Republican candidates are corrupt.
As for the people that have been either misled or too stubborn to research the problems facing America and the are blind to the violations against the Constitution (I even have relatives that are far right and far left that ALL refuse to think about the issues) I'd say about 60% of both sides are ignorant, 25% are too stubborn discuss in open format, 15% are open minded.

We may never get out. We might be looking at the beginning of the end of the United States as the preeminent economic power.
Another ten years, we'll be playing second fiddle behind Europe. Ten more after that, we (and Europe) will be behind China. Ten after that, we'll be fourth, after China, Europe, and India. South America and Africa are coming on strong.

I thought progressives were kind of cool, but after speaking with many of you here, I'm finding a much closed minded set of people that only want to group all conservatives as the same. that's like saying all Liberals are the same. There are good and bad in each party. This is the problem with being in the middle. Each side hates you for critically evaluating all side and working for pure compromise on the tough issues. Don't just every person of a party as if we're all alike. That's ignorant.

Ron paul would eliminate the corrupt non-constitutional parts of the Government. You exaggerate his position. Ron Paul (as Thomas Jefferson, Paine, Franklin) have stated before that if the Govt. has too much power they will utilize fear and the people (which they are supposed to serve) will turn it around to where the People will serve the Govt. in fear) Which is what's happening now. We believe in Govt. but it's gotten out of control and violated parts of the Constitution daily.

Was in Atlanta last year for a couple Red Sox vs Braves games.
Went cruising the downtown area late night and early morning. Walked all the way back to the hotel straight through, no problems that I ran into.
Lived in a few cities where part of the scenery is a few shooting drugs in the back of a beetle bus. Worked w/and been around many people that could be considered scary.
I can't say there is somebody on this earth, or perhaps off it, that I either don't or couldn't understand.
