@hexidextrous I don't think so. I've (reluctantly) seen the first two seasons of this anime and I'll give credit where its due: it has great animation, and the aerial fights are great. As a whole though Strike Witches suffers from lackluster plot development and overly excessive fanservice. The characters can be entertaining at times, but they also suffer from underdevelopment (more so in the first season). It has the potential to be really interesting though.

@LoneSilverwind I disagree. Focus on the stuff that matters, as in the conflict against the Neuroi-Infected ships. It reminds me of Sky Crawlers because of how the vehicles are like WWII meet the future, Metroid for the Neuroi are a parasitic corruption race like the Ing and Phazon, and Star Fox because the air battles are like something out of it.

Who cares about the Fan service. Its all about the Neuroi Conflict and aerial battles.

@hexidextrous I agree that the idea of WWII meets new technology is interesting, but if anything you've shown that these themes and ideas presented in Strike Witches are not wholly original.

Sure, I could forget the fanservice (although that would be near impossible) and just watch it for the action, but then I would still be lacking the proper development. Again, the initial concept is great, but the way it's presented is weak.

Also what about the Evil Mercenaries and their weapons that they tried to use to conquer their home countires? Especially their Final Boss one, WARLOCK, I mean WARLOCK was an amazing final boss. It was like Hibachi in Dodonpachi, but ten times better. That was serious too

And the characters aren't underdeveloped. Look at Barkhorn, Lynette, Yoshika, and Minna for example.

@RustSpinner Both seasons are here on YT (though they are edited for some content.) I personalyy think its a good "Popcorn flick" something for a quick bit of fun. Granted there is a large amount of fan service and as you saw in the clip they girls dont wear pants (though three do use stockings) In my opinion it all boils down to individual tastes.
