your computer should play wav files. but if it doesn't you can convert the .wav file to an mp3 file easily enough. loads of audio converters to download free online
How do you save the songs you've recorded onto an CD card so that you can listen to them back? when I do it, it comes up as a WAV file or something I think and I can't play it back to listen to it on my computer.
@jnapier99 I suppose you could - but you would only be able to record one loop, otherwise you would record lead on lead ! I just used to lay down a loop and then play over it endlessly. I don't own the Spider Jam now (sold it ) and I use a mixer instead as it gives me more dynamics. I just uploaded a load of backing tracks onto my ipod and play them straight in to achieve the same thing. Spider jam was just too darn loud for where I live !!
i have some question bro! can i use my guitar and a bass together? but not to record, just for jamming with a bass player... or if i can do the same but with the 3 thing at the same time, guitar, bass and mic...next question, how long can a i record a phrase loop? have they a limit apart to the 25 min? or can i record for exalmple a hole song (intro, verse, chorus, final) and then loop it to record the bass?
@LeonardoVerde I've sold the amp now but yes, you can play with two signal imputs. It's a nice amp but was just too loud for me - I prefer using effects and running through a p.a.
This was a phone using the inbuilt recorder. My latest video of a solo round patience (gnr) was done using a lumix LX3 camera. Key is to get the amp loud and the balance right. Glad you liked it.
Excellent - I will feel guilty if you don't like it so fingers crossed !! Whilst your waiting i've posted another video see more from mondino 31 and go to the line6with pink floyd backing - playing with an ipod.
Thanks - but I could be better ! It's all made up - pretty straightforward for the Rhythm, key of Am so Am, G , F, E (open) and then throw in a EM7 here and there. The solo is off the cuff walking round the fretboard using mainly pentatonic scales and the Am/C minor scale with a few blue or flutter notes. That was the first take just to show what the amp can do....I think it also shows I prefer the strat as I can play that thing so more fluid than the Gibson - from 4.53.
Hi. Have you upgraded to the latest software for the amp from line 6(2.09)?
It's available from their website and you'll need an SD card with a max of 2 gig.
Once done you can then use the SD card slot on the rear of the amp to import WAV files into the amp.Though they must be converted to 16 bit mono before they'll play.
You can also then slow down or speed up a track and change the key that anyone of the tracks is played in.
Thanks Marc - I've played a few amps in my time and I think the sound out these things are great for what is a practice amp. I've tried to show how you can build a whole song easily in minutes by overdubbing, ie the amp does both lead and rythym sounds quite well.
My only comment is that I wish more of the backing tracks were clocking at 100BPM or less - I like slow tempos. If anyone knows how to upload more tracks onto the "jam" then let me know.

Did you record the lead part as well? Can you do that on the Spider Jam?

What kind of recording equipment are you using to generate the download file you place on Youtube???? Nice playing, enjoyed it, thanks.

I think I probably need to work a bit harder before I could call this a 'song' - but thanks anyway.

Thanks for this, I had seen that SD and suspected this would be an option. I'll check that out - have you done this already then ?

Good demo on how easy it is to record your own backing track. I've got a Spider Jam too and they are great for bedroom jamming
