  • I kind of wish you still had your vibrant red-orange hair color. ^_^

  • Very inspirational, the stigma needs to be dropped!

  • Kick me or whatever you must do just be aware I am HIV positive. Hear my voice. See my face. Thank you for standing up with us.

  • Super Annie! Wonderful back!

  • I am hiv+,(since '92),& whilst I greatly admire anyone who 'puts their head above the parapet' in such a way, let's also not forget that whilst being in solidarity, wearing such a t-shirt could also just get the sh*t kicked out of you! But yes,we DO have to break down this stigma which sadly still exists even in the 21st century.Would I wear such a t-shirt? No,but well done to all who do.

  • Anie, you are a beautifull person, inside and out. Thank you for using your amazing talent to help others. I dont have HIV nor do anyone (that I know of) in my family. We have cancer instead and both my sons have autism so I know a little of sigma, though in a different way or a differnt source at least. Love to you Annie xxx

  • @ThomasDeLello that's not true at all.

  • @ThomasDeLello ,Yeah, there's always one just like you! A bigot! Let's just hope you never have to experience anyone close to you with this disease.Must be real pleasant up there in your Ivory Tower! God forgive you!

  • @ThomasDeLello Shame on you!

  • @ThomasDeLello I suppose you think lung cancer is a "normal" disease? Isn't it caused by the irresponsible behavior of people addicted to nicotine? Time for a reality check! I seriously doubt that the hundreds of children in Africa or hemophiliacs like Ryan White contracted HIV/AIDS because they were engaged in "sodomite behavior." Please stop sodomizing yourself with your head and wake up to reality.

  • your so brave to wear that shirt i could never do it and i am

  • Just bought one. I just hope I have the bs to wear it. :D

  • I'm with ALL "Stigmatized" of ALL kinds, AND I know how the pain feels, cause there are just few which I am NOT being stigmatized with...

  • Three weeks ago I found out that I am HIV positive. I just bought this brilliant t-shirt and will wear it during Gay Pride Amsterdam. Annie you are doing a fantastic job! This t-shirt will help me make me proud of who I am... there's nothing to be ashamed of being HIV positive. Bless you, wonderful woman

  • @aclopezestrada Clearly you don't understand what they're trying to do. They're not glorifying HIV by telling people that they need to know their status and that they need to not feel as though they're an outcast of society simply because they happen to be HIV positive. It's no more glorifying HIV than commercials telling people to get checked for breast cancer, or diabetes, or high blood pressure. It's encouraging people to be proactive with their health and help others who don't have th option

  • I was born in 1954. In 1984, I reached out to an HIV positive person who was ostracized by his family and by our church's congregation. Their unforgiving rejection caused him intense pain. Gracefully, our loving universe provided avenues for his spiritual healing before he died. Bless you Annie, I've always loved your expression. Please keep up your good works.

  • I got my shirt in the mail today. Thank you Annie and Sing Campaign!

  • Love you Annie! Thanks for all that you do!

  • You are an amazing human being....But YOU don't have to feel their pain ...each of us carry our own cross...You are blessed with a lot of empathy ..and i love you for that ! I really enjoyed seeing you on Idol Gives Back ...it was touching

  • My best friend Mark passed away in 1995 of AIDS. He was so ashamed... He felt so alone and he gave up and it consumed him quickly. Had it been different back then,

He might still be around? He just gave up! Thank you, for trying to change all this!

    I Love You! Rad

  • Keep up the good work Annie, not only is your voice beautiful but your soul is too!

  • I am not HIV but I have this t-shirt and wear it with pride. We have to get rid of the stigma once and for all and I hope that by showing my support and wearing it, I can do my bit.

I am very surprised that no one has said anything to me about it yet. I get looks and have had 2 people give me a wide berth when walking past them, but nothing else....I am ready though.

  • Annie, you are amazing! Your songs, your voice! Keep spreading the word babe. I don't have it, but I have a couple of friends who have it. I see how they suffer, and it hurts.

And they aren't gay, they got it from women! So praise your word, you can more than the people not famous! YOUR AMAZING!

  • HIV case is on the rise!! I just found the largest HIV dating and support site == HIVlover, com == . One local HIV activist says he's concerned about the staggering new numbers.

  • I love this shirt and I will order one and wear it even though I am not HIV +. We can change minds on this but it takes all of us. Also, I would LOVE to have a shirt that has the quote from one of Annie's videos on the back. The quote is from a tombstone in South Africa, "AIDS is not a punishment for the wicked. It is a disease like any other."

  • Yeah ! I've been HIV poz for the last 15 years so I'm well aware of the stigma and discrimination surrounding this disease. Congratulations and good luck with your campaign for women and children. As an aside - only 3 days to go until HIV positive people are legally able to enter the USA and the US government lifts the discriminatory ban against HIV positive 'aliens'. The USA has only been discriminating against us since 1987 !

  • This Stigma you speak of is prevelant in todays society where i live,I belive there is as much discrimination as there is being Black to White, being a homless person to walking the streets in a designer suit. try it out and see how people treat you.

Do spare a thaught for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS,I also belive there is not problem in this world that is without a solution.

  • i think the t shirt is a very creative and challenging idea. well done. stigma is also here among the population in the uk. silences become mini conspiracies dividing families and friends. i have lost many friends who turned away and said it was too much for them to deal with. Yes. For THEM to deal with. Human nature falters and fair weather friends evaporate in a bitter wind. My faith in people is jaded but thanks for what u r doing. There are diamonds in the shit - my gran used to say.

  • ;D SHARE THIS VIDEO ON FACEBOOK and everywhere you can ! GO NOW ! ;o)

  • Annie Lennox - YOU are one Fantastic Lady!! I loved you for years, I love you more now. I lost a few friends due to HIV and I miss them terribly. I saw you on the tube last night with the shirt on and thought how brave you are, how much a change it will make. You have always displayed courage in your songs, in your life, in everything you do. Thank You!

  • I hate how much stigma there is involved when it comes to HIV. I've been HIV+ ever since 1997 and even though that doesn't seem an awful long time, believe me, it was harsh, I lost all my friends and my whole family turned against me.

  • I'm so sorry that you lost what you need most right now, family and friends. I don't know where you live, I live in Philadelphia, Pa., and I'm not scared of HIV or the people infected by it. I can't get it by a hug, or by being a friend. You can email me if you want to, I'm Kaptainess on aol. I can listen if you need someone to talk to, and yes, be a buddy to you. I will pray for you, and hope that you have a kind soul that can show you that not everyone is hard.

  • Smart and Brave. Just Fantastic.

  • Annie has always been brave, that's why we love her. ♥

  • thank you annie my uncle passed away when i was 12 i remeber running up the flat stairs with my mother out breath trailing behind me trying to keep up as i was so excited to see him i had not seen him in such a long time when i got to his door i rang the bell like it was going out of fashion when he awnserd the door there stood was a frail old man i thought i got the wrong door i was shocked it is a terible illness and thank you for the suport it helps every one and i am touched xxx lucy

  • Brave souls.

  • I was very glad to be able to send a donation to SING this morning,Annie.Thank you so much for caring so much about those who do not have a voice in this world. Your beautiful voice is a beacon of Hope and Caring AND Joy!

  • You're a true spirit.

  • OMG I Love her!

  • I love this woman, she is not only a great musician, she is a great PERSON.

  • I agree balkan...

  • Getting involved is personal choice, making the decision to help people is a character trait, using your voice to tell the world is a strong commitment that very few can do. I applaud you. I applaud the people who have this horrifying disease and remain positive and smile when we wonder why they are smiing. courage is a wonderous thing. I want to be that kind of person every moment in my life. Thank you for giving them another reason to smile.

  • keep up the good work annie!

  • I'm going to buy it !

Can't wait to hear the comments ; ))

  • Thanks for sharing the story. So good to see you in good health.

  • God bless all who walk the journey regardless of what side of the path they walk upon we are all one. Thanks so much for the post Annie.

  • I am HIV positive and my family does not want me to tell people because of the stigma. I live at home and for that reason I respect their choice but I do understand what you mean. That is why its important for me to be open about it so we can break the silence. I was wondering if in your next blogg you might want to give a plug to "28 stories of AIDS in Africa" Where Zachary is featured just to let people know first hand why it happens and how to help stop it.

  • @francescorengifo

One of my friends is living with hiv 1 for 10 years. And she feel lonely till her doctor told her a site ...hivmatching(.)com…She meet many friends there and

I hope she can find her love on the site.May god guide your life.

  • We can make the amount of people who care grow. I buy this t-shirt.

  • Outstanding idea! If there were more people in the world who cared, it would be a far better place. It is good to see there are some of us who do care. Will defiantly order one.
