  • Does the hand wiggle at 1.05 signify anything?

  • Stunning!

  • Just give Robin, a guitar and an amplifier and he will make miracles!!! Haunting, isn't it...?

  • Remember what Thumpers mother told him in the movie Bambi? Why is everone so inclined to be so critical on the internet. Robin changed music, he births genious ideas. He is such a joy to me. Say nice things or go to where You enjoy.

  • I believe he was thinking Liz, and wrote Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance. 4AD for ever!

  • The more I hear the music of Robin Guthrie, the more I assure HE was the soul of the Cocteau Twins.

  • @12dwightsuperman But still, without the vocals of Lisa its far from Cocteau Twins ;)

  • @ininfluenza Who is Lisa? :)

  • When it comes to music there's no better or worse, it's just a different chorus and a different verse. I'm so thankfull for what Robin has helped to inspire by being inspired by music. He is a healer. For himself and for all who choose to listen.

  • Fucking genius.

  • Robin Guthrie in HD playing his guitar= HEAVEN ;-)

  • Love this tune, i am very influenced by the Guthrie sound ;)

  • Philip Seymour Hoffman is great on drums

  • boring

  • Liz & Simon are missing...

  • Robin is so Super Cute....What a HANDSOME Scottish BEAR...GRRRR!!!

  • Saw RG in D.C. this year, opening for Brendan Perry (Dead Can Dance). Robin created this growing and enveloping wall of sound that filled every pore of the small venue we were in. It was nearly overwhelming to the senses and a complete experience, needing no voice added in. Really amazing stuff.

  • Without liz you are just a bloke who plays one note at a time with a ridiculous amount of effects BORING. Please liz make more of your wonderful music. R I p Cocteau twins.

  • @huskvarsm Friend, though I respect your view on the matter, I very much disagree with you! He's a fantastic musician who paints simple musical landscapes. Yes, these landscapes are now deserted and inhabited without the voice of Liz to bring them to life. But sometimes we long for these places, devoid of anything other than an ambiance of understated solitude.

  • @D0ST03VSKY i liked your comment a lot. the fact that he is creating these "simple musical landscapes"(if you don't mind me quoting you :) is true, yes. Without Robin Guthrie creating this music it could never exist, though! yes Liz broke it off and everything, but some heal more quickly and more thorough than others. you can't change the past, so there is no point in longing for it back; however, you can morn the lost. for me personally, when i try hard, i can hear Liz. it's okay:)

  • @huskvarsm I have to agree with D0ST03VSKY. RG uses effects to create aural landscapes of such diversity and depth. Yes it would be nice to see Liz release more records but I fear her output will be sporadic and sparse.

  • @huskvarsm he makes better music than you do comments for shure

  • an avid CT fan sent this to me (CAROPASK) and my initial reaction was YES !!!

however the editing out of a very "stout" Guthrie makes me lose some... YES the music is genius, but HE is the KING here... not the bootleg kids.

Still happy to see this. ((^_^))

  • pure magic...

  • Yeah, he's still got it !!! Gonna watch more KEXP vids now. Thanks for this post.

  • Nice Chandler...never saw one with four pickups and a tremolo too

  • @CW2SCOGG Essentially 3 pickups, two humbuckers (bridge, neck) and a middle single coil. He seems to be using the neck pick up the most in this song.

  • One of my favorite Gruthie tracks, Thank you for this.

  • Ethereal scapes, as ever...!

    AWESOME !!!

  • x_x ... 0_0.... O_O..... :D, ad infinitum.

  • pure genius!!!
