  • Mantabb broww

  • your a great teacher!

  • Excellent video. Much appreciated.

  • nub..

  • not suppose to complete fill nori with rice.....

  • did you film this with a calculator?

  • When you started saying, "Press, form, roll," and "One cut, two cuts, wipe my knife, repeat," it sounds like exercise. Hey! Now I can make sushi and exercise! Two in one package deal!

  • Very good information. Thank you!

  • :L omg i want it!!!

  • WHY AM I WATCHIGN THIS, SO HUNGRY

  • everytie I try to make sushi my nori always ends up STRETCHY! please help!!

  • I want to dive through the screen and start smacking him out of the way so I can grab all I can and run away.

  • I love tuna, but would never eat sushi tuna again, so dangerously high in mercury..

  • what's the solution

  • GOOD BUT YET SPICY!!!

  • Great video. I wish it was higher resolution, but it is old.

  • @airgearbleachfan Chill, that was a month ago. No one cares now.

  • What is the solution that you use for the rice?

  • @Derekdammit

It's sushi vinegar, regular vinegar+sugar can be used but it's not as tasty. I know since my parents used to own a sushi restaurant and I would watch them make it. Hope it helps.

  • I love it.. very clear... I ll try to make it like u! thanks

  • @usausaarmy

Why dont you show some respect to others people video's and shut your trap.

And keep your big mouth shut if you cant say anything decent you old goat.

  • @nielsf i can say what ever i want and if i can see u right now i will kill u and piss on u like dead hog

  • @usausaarmy

You are sad old man. Seems respect and honor are far away concepts from you.

Do you what you must old goat. Your productive life is practically over already so I do not care what your "opinion's" are about anything. You have a big mouth and use foul language. You should die anyway before you become a burden on society.

  • I <3 sushi!

  • thanks motherfucker for making some fuck up food

  • I have Question !!

Can I use Egypt rice instead of Sushi rice ??

because Sushi rice is expensive and hard to find in Suadi Arabia

    please help me !!

  • @nig3r short grain rice will work. "sushi" rice doesnt exist. its the grain of rice. vineger, salt, kombu is what helps the starchy rice become more maleable and delicious.

  • You lot should be ashamed! He is trying to help you all!

  • this happen when white people made sushi....omg...uhhhhhh=,= i will be starving by the time he done.....

  • Hahahaaaaaa!

Don't put rice on middle !

  • Good lesson. Mine were really ugly...tasty but ugly so I decided to look on you tub and found this!

    Thank you!!

  • Shit! speaking so long time

  • This guy is so freaking GAY! His customers are starving to death!! I can learn more from a monkey.

  • @texasgiggle I see a lack of male on male relations in this video... but I thought it fit to inform you that this video wasn't made to watch him prepare the roll for a costumer, but to properly explain how it is made. He's doing it in a detailed manor, so it is a tad slow. If it isn't fast enough for your liking, may I suggest other videos that are just as informative but without such detailed explanations.

  • @texasgiggle May I also add, that monkeys are most likely incapable of properly teaching one how to make sushi.

  • how come there is no togarashi in this spicy tuna?

  • Lol..the amature that I am, I still keep running back and forth to the sink to rinse my hands. Thanks for the vid. Made my first ones today.

  • good teacher

  • is the ahi tuna raw or is it cooked?

  • I am convinced that Sushi is the food of the Gods.

  • @UndercoverCracker

    ...Actually, that's chocolate.

  • @sydonabike It is both!

  • @UndercoverCracker

    chocolate sushi.... might work.

  • I use Sriacha in my homemade tunat too!

  • i'm SO hungry!!!!!

  • you're the man

  • "1 cut... 2 cut... (and a half cut)"

  • spicy tuna? no one in japan would eat that...

  • @casperrrrr not everyone can live in Japan and enjoy the benefits of a master sushi maker. If this is what I have to make due with then this is what I will eat because it beats the hell out of McDonalds!

  • @casperrrrr Why do you care what the Japanese population approves of, and why should we also care? Eat what you like, home slice. I guess then the japanese will have to come to America to eat all the foreign fusion sushi rolls

  • @mattchuuu1 just shows how americana bad taste...

  • @casperrrrr good thing he's not in japan then huh? ur an idiot. people eat different types of foods all over the world. he never said it was authentic...it doesnt matter if it is or isnt. just because its asian inspired doesnt mean people in japan have to like it. people in america enjoy it and thats all that matters. thats like watching a cook at Gino's East prepare a chicago deep dish and saying "no one from Italy would eat that..."

  • Who wantt to learn Japanese with me online?

  • my mouth was watering throughout ur vid. it looks so delicious

  • @Livinglifehigh dericious* , sir, dericious.

  • nice

  • Sir Noel what is name of your Sushi Knife???

  • hed be so good at rolling joints and blunts

  • what pepper did you use ?

  • One of the better explanations for making sushi that I've seen. Thanks!

  • ur a pro! Thank's a million (^__^)v really helped a lot.

  • i would pay $ for this guy to teach me in person...

  • This is exactly how they teach you the first time in culinary school. Slow and incredibly detailed, they want you to learn why we do it the way we do because you can't always tell when we cook at full speed. Well done. I bet this takes you maybe a minute in real time, if that.

  • @SOLITUDEbwk when shit hits the fan probably less than that!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • go rangers go, fuck it. lol

  • looks yummy I'm going to try making this and California rolls tonight! thank you!!

  • thank you, will try this week

  • THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR SKILL IN MAKING SUSHI ROLL! And for the DETAILS, i APPRECIATE IT. Don't mind the STUPID GUYS ( like "bobbie55511111") who gives negative comments INSTEAD of saying THANK YOU!!! You are a GOOD GUY!!!

  • cool. this is a good "how-to" video. most sushi videos only show how its done and don't explain what you need and how-to.

  • lol go easy on the poor guy.

Do you have any idea on how many videos there are that to NOT explain the details on how to make a simply sushi roll? NONE.

    Great vid.

  • this dude makes it look like we are stupid with his ridiculous instructions and it takes him about 2 hrs to do the simplest thing. sheesh, what an annoying video.

  • back in the late 1990 all ca and spicy tuna rolls had mayo in them, cus of the fat content and customer complains the restaurants started leaving out or using very little mayo in the rolls.

  • Придурок криворукий!

  • GREAT job !!! Thank you !!!

  • I sure hope all sushi maker is as hygienic as he is :) ., but I still prefer making my own .,

  • im bored - wow get on with it already...

  • how do you generally present it? Garnishing is what I mean.

  • Can you use brown rice for the rice or is there a brown sushi rice? Sorry for sounding so clueless!!!

  • @clicklipsticky

    you can if you want.

  • @clicklipstick i believe you can, but the rice should be somewhat glutinous (sticky) so that it's not falling apart when you roll the sushi. short grain rice is sticky and better when making sushi. if you can find brown rice that is glutinous then it should be okay to use.

  • @daisieful Thanks so much for this! I understand, brown rice isn't as easy to eat with chopsticks either like white rice so, I haven't tried it out yet on sushi... I heard that mixing sticky white rice with some brown rice should work though :)

  • @clicklipstick no just stick w sushi rice brown rice is like doing sushi injustice.

  • @fardisghomeshi brown rice isnt sushi at all :D sushi rice is a specific rice used to make sushi :D and yes it is an injustice

  • ooookkkkaaayyyy leeettsss eeeeaaatttt sssuuuuusshhhhhiiiiiii..

  • Looks good

  • Can someone tell me what he said? I fell asleep half way through. Zzzzzz.....

  • thanks for being so detailed--this helps a lot!

  • bravo, looks good

  • great video:) it helped alot in the kichen:)

  • Weird and boooooooring...

  • Grocery store sushi is no good!

  • @12ga9mm

  • @12ga9mm ikr? what is that around the seaweed for clafornioa rolls? died up congee?

  • did u forget to use a Sushi mat?

  • can you PM me the recipe plaese?

  • that looks sooooo good

  • mmm...strange way to make sushi... nice, anyway!

  • mmm...strange way to make sushi... nice, anyway!

  • Thanks for the lesson!

  • Should have done a second take...that roll will fall apart trying to eat it...lol.

  • Yay! I'm gonna make rice rolls :) (apparently calling it sushi causes people to go crazy^^ from what I see in these comments)

  • @kirw2n just dont get shot lol

  • I want to eat. Can you cook the sahimi?

  • Interesting technique.. Nice video.

anon69: I believe you are slightly misinformed; you must consume about a serving every week, for many months. The buildup will then put you over the recommended limit. In most cases, the benefits of tuna outweigh the negatives.

  • omg ..too much rice for a roll

  • sushi is probably the best tasting healthy food. Sushi is as good as a big mac and doesnt have 1/4 the fat probably. I like california rolls the best, or rainbow rolls. I buy them as smiths marketplace haha ive never tried a sushi bar, but smiths marketplace sushi taste good to me, and walmarts sushi taste pretty good to me

maybe for my bday ill ask to go to a sushi bar

  • @neyeseek walmart? really? damn, you need to go to an authentic sushi place if you like that, you'll love it

  • @neyeseek sushi is a good and (comparatively) healthy altnernative when eating out, but you should remember how much mayo goes into some rolls (ie. california rolls) and that some rolls (ie. dynamite rolls, yam tempera rolls) have ingredients are deep fried in batter. Also, there is atleast one bowl of rice for each roll. if you tend to avoid the first two mentioned above, and stick to just one or maybe even two rolls, then it is really good for you!

  • @bokchchoi wow a bowl of rice?

  • oh thank you so much Im having so much trouble making sushi!!! u helped me so much!

  • Awesome video. My stomach was growling so loud throughout it ha

  • EAT ME

  • @elvisproject somebody is a little picky

  • LOL OMG funniest comment I've read ever....!!!! XD Alright... calm down... HahahahhahahahHAHAHAH!!!!!

First of all it's obvious you don't know what the word "pretentious" means as you chastise this person for his maltreatment of the English language...

Secondly.... at no point in the video does the narrator say "Cali Roll".

He DOES, however, say "Calrose Rice"

  • Comment removed

  • i love sushi ...born and raised in hawaii and ill be moving to spokane soon...woohoo

  • Lucky You~ I've been to Hawaii (5 islands) & I've been to Spokane (I like the

park with the "Running" Figures... however, it is COLD there.... and Bleek- and depressing... good luck after Hawaii

  • dude ur pro, as soon as i saw u spred the rice i was like.. wowowow make me sushi xD im so hungry now..

  • This guy has gittery hands. It's so annoying to watch.

  • Hey I have a question: why is it that for sushi you're supposed to use rice at room temperature, but for onigiri the recipes all say to use hot rice?

I figured since they both are made with japanese rice, the way you handle them should be similar. Now I am confused D:

  • I prefer cold for both myself. It's important in rolled sushi because if the rice was warm the steam would make things soggy etc....

  • this guy is lousy..

  • this guy takes way to long

  • awesome I am from hawaii :) and yes sthe knifes are very important! helps mae cutting your sushi nice and propper!

  • Comment removed

  • Easier to make than I thought. I love Cali Rolls.

  • i don't know much about sushi making yet, but this guy seems kinda pro.. he rolled it without the mat, he just used it to refine the shape a little.

  • For begginners, would it not be easier to use a mat or some clingfilm when you're rolling the sushi?

  • let gravity be my friend im not gonna man handle the sushi lol at was fun

  • You guys are all dumbasses. Unless you've thoroughly learned about Japanese culture & how & why they do what they do witht their sushi, you can't really judge & correct others based on your feeble knowledge of the American interpretation of things.

  • Hear hear.

  • hey GingahhSpice, we are not that dumb. We have invented California roll and many other rolls that are not available in japan. Don't you think we are a very creative people ?

  • Not me, for darn tootin'. I loves me sum spaaaaaaacy!

  • He man handled that sushi, im sad now

  • watching this i've lost the will to live

  • Man do you have Obsessive compulsive disorder? hehehee

  • Omggg ur suchh a Pro ^___^ "

  • can u cook me sushi??

    plzzz

  • you dont cook sushi. its raw

  • thats how you know if its good sushi i once ate at a bad sushi restaurant and they served me cooked tuna inside the role

  • not true. there is a lot of cooked sushi. sushi just means it has rice. sashimi means it is raw and is only fish no roll or rice. next time you try and correct someone try and not be a dumbass

  • Sushi can be cooked. Often, crab and scallops are cooked, and eel is always cooked.

  • @kiminokami

Hmm...the scallops I have tried were all raw..its called Chop Chop scallop.

  • I've had both raw and cooked. I don't know what the raw roll was called, but the cooked one was "Spicy Baked Scallop."

  • 2 girls one cup rice :))
