American Apparel Donates to May Day 2008 in Los Angeles

You know what they say -- calling an Illegal Alien an "Undocumented Worker" is like calling a Drug Dealer an "Unlicensed Pharmacist".

The only sense it makes is to cover their own ass because they employ so many illegal's themselves. They don't want ICE to come in there and take all their slave labor away or get the heavy fines for each one of the criminal border jumpers they hire.

American Apparel is awesome for taking a stand in this debate. Seeing their signs and t-shirts were fantastic at the rally. I met up with the Multi-ethnic Immigrant Worker Organizing Network people by MacArthur park. Our t-shirts were cool too. :D

Save Our State decided to protest against American Apparel and stand in front of one of their stores a couple of weeks ago. I think that really boosted sales. LegalizeLA shirts were sold out online after that! :D

American Apparel advocates the legalization of millions of undocumented folks who live in Los Angeles. It might make fiscal sense to the owner of that business but it would be a financial disaster to pre-existing citizens who live in So. California.
