I hope there will be no 'orange' 'red' or alike revolution in belarus and Belarussians will be given a rare chance to actually decide for themselves. I hope the US will never be able to use this peaceloving people as just another strategy of hostile encirclement of Russia by Western powers. Just leave Belarus out of all of this nonsense, let the country develop into even greater nation. Love Belarus.

I wonder what Belarus pays for gas and oil from Russia. I bet it is a bargain.

I believe the gas for them is now at about 150 dollar per 1000 cubic meters of gas, but it was up at 210. (The world price has gone down to less then half lately). Cheaper then for Ukraine that still pays below market value but certainly not free considering it's pretty much it's only energy source (together with oil). It's still much higher then the domestic price in Russia. All former block countries has below market prices including the baltic states despite NATO membership.

Rumsfeld did not want any uncontrolled coverage of Iraq, so any independent news was 'aiding the enemy', but in this video Aljazeera does seem to be pandering to western elites, in amplifying the meme often spread in the western media about belorussia being 'last dictatorship of europe', which is a falsehood and part of deliberate propaganda campain against any country that dares to be independent of Washington's control.

I have met Jaroslav Romanchuk at one of the annual conferences of International Society for Individual Liberty. He does not seem to be a libertarian. However, I am glad Al-Jazeera finally covered someone who at least towards libertarianism. Please have libertarians to comment on events. We are a growing movement!
