couldn’t say it better!! Concentrate in improving yourself and stop worring about what are the rest of the world is doing! Last week I stumble upon “Discover the Gift” this movie/book talks about finding what you are best at and what can give to the world at 100% potential! I found it brilliant! Let me know what you think about it!! facebook. com/discoverthegift
There are limits to how much you can judge someone or something, no one said not judging would make you a better person, if anything, I say it would make you less unattended to your opinion on any type of subjects people would want to discuss with you. So really if you want to be a better person just do what you know is right. Like having a better education n a knowledge of balance when judging someone, or something. You should never cross that line to judge unless it is necessary.
I think he was referring to the early ones. He probably should have said three or four examples of a variety of primitives, but the title is to better yourself, not to better him.
your right Dr, im wondering where this moral judgment of others comes from(where is it learnt? ), what i mean is why does it come so naturally for me without even consciously doing it?
@EdMaGoFa yep! religion never judges....the religious just kill you...then the person who does not like to be judged is no longer around. lol Religion teached you when you die you will be judged. or just forgiven for your sin, ya know what I mean religion butters both side of the bread that why no matter the situation it always looks right.
Very good advice. Always be ready to learn. If you think you know everything already, you won't learn anything new. And let's face it, ppl hate ppl who act like know it alls :)
What does it mean to be "better"? As in more socially acceptable? More self-centered? The statement "not to judge others" is just one of that man's principles he dearly holds. (And I disagree with that, personally) You may have a different approach to become a better person. People may become better at being themselves, or having role models, etc.
He is right!! but.. there is a small little detail in his speech that shows how he can learn from the very lesson he is giving. Notice how he says "EVEN the american-indian said...". Why does he say EVEN? it sounds as if he was saying that even those "uneducated people" or something of the like knew not to judge people..
his point with that isn't segregating the indians and the common person. when he says that he is showing just how long people have known that you shouldn't critisize others
@itube58 true, I found that a little strange... Why "even"? lol, the Native Americans have a lot of wisdom in their culture... oh crap, that was another judgement! ;)
@itube58 he doesnt necessarily mean that it is just that our society is so rigidy organized and contrasts so much to the society established along the lines of the indigenous tribes of America yet we can still learn from their ideology
@itube58 i think he was just saying that they also had a similar belief. i doubt he was remarking on their intelligence. if i may make a positive judgement, i find many American Indian tribes to have very wise beliefs, lol. I guess my point is, you cant judge what he's saying because it goes against what he is saying. ya dig? O.O'
i totally agree with what this man has said most people do make false statments about other backgrounds and cultures and religions i just think its the persons mind and actions that matter that defines good and evil within them selfs
Because what goes in goes through your body and comes back out,but what comes out comes from your heart. Somewhere in Matthew? I think it was a parable.
Read into it what you like. It doesn't explain what it's trying to say..
It's fun to quote when someone is bashing homosexuals, when someone refuses to eat whatever meat they deem unclean, when someone is ranting about lifestyle choices (smoking, drinking, though I'm against those myself.. self criticism is a man's best friend).
I think he says a lot of true things and even quoted the bible in the beginning of that video. But even if he didn't - christians aren't supposed to hate any people
I think it's hypocritical to accuse christians (billions of people) of being judgemental and at the same time judgeing all of them yourself. If you want to know about Christianity, look at Christ not at christians, who are fallable people just like everybody else.
I don't think his smile is fake -- I think he has false teeth and they don't look well....:)
