The OFFICIAL reason the series got cancelled was simply because they creators were running out of ideas and decided to just stop the series rather than continue making episodes with dry unwitty humor. So it was smart on thier part to stop while they were at thier prime, then to continue on like the Simpsons or Family Guy

I think one of the main reasons this show was canceled is because in the intro the Twin Towers are shown. 9/11 was a very tragic day for all Americans, and I think they canceled the show out of respect for the ones who had family and friends that died. Or I could be wrong.

@mikeimp91 That's good theory but, if that's the case all show from new york wouldn't have be yanked of the air. The all have scenes the has something to with 911. Hell friends would have gotten cancelled earlier if Central Perk would have gotten bombed.

Why was this series canvelled, this was better than almost all other comedies because of it's crazyness.

Women feel bad for the good x bf, and gain a conscience, and lil boys get depressed they might stay single when grown up.lol
