this song is extremely under-rated! also love the acoustic version. wonderfully depressing lyrics - "everything i touch turns to stone". i like how Pablo Honey is so raw and innovative and how many different styles of singing Thom experimented with back then
I love this song. At one point it started to remind me of Foo Fighter's Generator, another song I love. Really dig the mellowness of it. I agree with eyebal, they really do know how to end an album.
I heard this song for the first time when I smoked my first joint. The mellow lounge-like beginning put a smile on my face and then I got ultra-paranoid during the ending. Good times. BTW, Jonny strums his guitar with a paintbrush at the end.
@dgmc09productions Em with pinkie on the high e string 2 fret,bass low e on 3 fret,then A,then bass low e on 2 fret.Repeat repeat repeat and then it is A +pinkie on high e 4 fret and Am pinkie 3 fret. :D
Hands down my favorite Radiohead song. It is one of the few on Pablo that I like. The ending is amazing and the interlude before I am fused.... The end sounds like an orgasm that never stops
very under-rated album. Put off listening to anything from it other than creep for a very long time. Still not as good as the bends or OK computer, but an excellent debut all the same, and way ahead of most of their contemporaries
In hindsight, this song seems out of place on Pablo Honey, because it sounds like it could have been on OK Computer or Hail to the Thief. Way ahead of its time and surely the stand-out track on Pablo Honey.
It's hard to put into words the feeling you get when you reach the 1:21 mark. It's like what one would expect to hear if he or she suddenly saw God, lol.
Sounds like the Beatles if you cave your head in clumsily with a spanner and pop a fish tank on your head, however, if you are lucky enough to be able to enjoy this without these optional accesories, you'll hear a right crackin band I tell thee.
Not only is this song one of their best...it is one of the best songs from the past 20-30 years. I love the way they infuse rock with a bit of jazz, combined with the ethereal vocals of Yorke. Simply an amazing song if you appreciate music for what it is supposed to be.
You know, i like some of radiohead's stuff, but mostly, i'm not a fangirl, i'm notr a fangirl of any single band, and i have to say from an unbiased oppinion, pablo honey is really a ripoff of nirvana.
@8888111188887777 Uhm, I'm not the biggest fan of Videotape, but it's definitely a good song! Along with Separator. and The Wolf at the Door (It Girl. Rag Doll.) flat out amazing. Thom really puts emotion into that song, I guess some people just can't seem to notice.
@ItRagdoll It's give up the ghost, videotape and wolf at door. And yes, i ranked all 120 or so radiosongs in a playlist on youtube and those 3 are in the bottom 10.
@8888111188887777 No, Separator is the last track on the King of Limbs! Give up the Ghost is the second to last! Give up the Ghost is currently my favorite on that album right now.
hey guys, i usually don't go around leaving comments like this but my band recently got back a recording and i am trying to get people who will leave us some feedback (constructive critics welcomed).
To find the song just type in Lamplight Sanctuary in the search engine and we should be like the first vid. Song is called IN A DREAM.
This song always reminds me of being in a grocery store or elevator haha. Wouldn't be surprised if this influenced Weezer's Burdnt Jamb. Such a great song though.
The "spacey" sound of the guitar - from 2:28 or so onwards - always reminds me of Pink Floyd. A great album closer, and the live version on the Live at the Astoria DVD blew my mind even more. ;)
Several songs off the album show that the band had potential for something great. This song however, didn't show potential, it simply was great. While the album might not be radiohead quality for us elitist snob fans, I know if I was in a band I'd kill to have an album this good. It's like radiohead being human.
great...all of them...classic stuff...Johnie's favorite song...cant ya tell...then the acoustic w/the poises..the seattle movement...ahhhh ya! Frosting on the beat!
Probably the best song on "Pablo Honey." I just can't get it outta' my head... Probably this (besides Creep) is the song that lifts the album from good to brilliant. :)
yeah! you guys should remember that each album is a improvment on the previous one so you cant look back and say how crap a previous one was...it all about topping you biiggest achievment with something better! and they have done this everytime!!
I always kinda always related to Creep, so I liked it better for that reason. The uncensored version, of course. I like this song more now, because I'm really beginning to understand it and connect with it now. I connect with a lot of Radiohead songs. Maybe I should get checked out, because most of their songs are really sad. :P

The term "WEAKEST ALBUM" doesn't apply to Radiohead. We loved Pablo Honey, and nearly 20 years later, we've progressed with them and love them even more.
Very good point. They just constantly add to their music. I think that this album may have been largely tailored to find a label to promote it, though, because it has great songs like this alongside some much more shallow tracks on the album. If the whole album had music like this, a label wouldn't have touched it with a 50-foot pole in '93, because it's too esoteric and experimental. I think this might actually qualify as a weakest album just because it was weakened to appease the label.
@aRubberSoul What about Amnesiac and Kid A? I mean those two had gems but as albums I couldn't put up with them for long. I appreciate they needed to change their direction musically for a bit but it really wasn't my thing. Having said that, Pyramid Song and Optimistic are two of my favourite Radiohead songs. Pablo was the last album I've gotten round to listening to and it way surpassed my expectations with album tracks like this one.
Pablo Honey is my favorite, but I agree there is no bad Radiohead album. been thinking about you is the ultimate ex song. creep is raw beauty. and blowout was the clue to what was to come. great band. one of my faves. thank you gentlemen for being casually mighty.
