US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has come out and blamed the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, etc) for ruining her political career. While in congress she refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, McKinney said “war was declared” on her by the Jewish lobby. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Pro Zionist Israeli interests.”
Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum states there's between 120,000,000 to 180,000,000 Muslims that support terrorism (militant Islam). Majority don't speak out against it, and it's unknown whether this is due to fear or sympathy.
and i know its not about cramer, but hes the face of all this or the scape goat. the guys from fast money aren't out there getting b--- slapped by jon stewart. its everyones fault for letting this happen not just cramer or cnbc, its everyones fault for not questioning the amazing profits, i mean where was the sec? And as stewart pointed out peoples 401ks and retirements were squandered, but if it wasnt for the dirty play that fund managers play then people wouldnt get high enough returns
thank you, it is everyones fault, people always want someone else to blame, it wasnt the whole u.s tht did this but a good amount of dumbasses and greedy assholes.
I think cramer has some what of an idea what hes talking about, he ran a hedge fund. But your right in a sense, everyone on tv is playing the game, trying to make money with better ratings. and at this point they both made off huge, more people are now going to watch mad money and the daily show, so both stewart and cramer won.
Yes Jon Stewart reacted after the fact, he didnt do any legitimate reporting to uncover anything before the news was broke, and now he tries to pass himself off as being the savior of the people. it's not like he single handedly uncovered madoff and we should all now look to him to solve the problems of the economy. and yes people were robbed, but they also have to take responsibility for the fact that they didn't research theyre investments, they just wanted to make money.
Jon said he wants the "real" news to do the work of investigating so he can get back to fart jokes. The whole point of the "fake news" is that the real news no longer is responsible for verifying and investigating. Doesn't anyone remember the movie, "All the President's Men"?
The reason Kramer couldn't go on air and say the Pres of XYZ company just lied to me is because then you would have to research and prove it or (I mean AND) get sued.
@ruthejp13 Yea it's sad that Jon Stewart, much as I love the guy, is one of the better talking heads on TV these day. I mean he runs a comedy show, but there are definitely plenty of news programs less informing(not to mention entertaining) as his.
@gl0ckt0pus First of all fuck off, Jon stewart was not trying to be "the savior of the people" nor did he ever take any credit for solving economic problems. What he was trying to do is hold the media responsible for denying their civic duty to the people. He is saying that cnbc passes it self off as finachial exports, if they were they should of seen this coming. Jon stewarts has always focused most of his criticisms on the media.
@gl0ckt0pus Also those people you say should of done research on their investments did do research on their investments. They were getting bad advice from cnbc and other sources who claim to be financial exports. Obviously jon stewart was trying to hold these people accountable because no one else was, and no one else has done anything about our newsmedias lack of reporting
What the hell is the matter with people. It's not about Cramer. John sent after the network, and they threw Cramer into the fire to give us someone to focus on rather than all of them. That's why John had to say this song's not about you to Cramer. If you can't see that, you really need to look at things for what they are, not what the media tells you it is. If you don't know the difference, either learn, or please keep your opinions to yourselves.
I think Jim Cramer has a huge set of balls for going out there and stepping up to jon stewart. but this is again another one of those things to get our eyes of the bigger picture. why wasnt jonny stewart crucifying the major news networks for not better investigating the wmd's in iraq? and what about the american idea of being responsible for your self? if the people who where investing with maidoff among others, really knew what they were doing and were informed they wldnt have been robbed
Really? I think Jon wiped the floor with him. Btw the Daily Show constantly mocked and exposed networks and the Bush administration over WMD (were you alive then?) and the people who got ripped off by Madoff did so because they were robbed by a crook, not because they weren't well informed. I hate the whole victim culture too, but in this case they weren't at fault.
Cramer sinned twice--first, in this interview he didn't blame Bush for everything; second, he subsequently said negative things about Obama's plan. For that he gets skewered. Stewart is simply an attack dog for Obama, whose presidency thus far resembles a really lousy hybrid of Nixon and Carter. Vindictive and incompetent.
What Stewart said made me think about something. It's time to tell the truth. We have squandered what made us great. We have become fat, lazy, stupidly opinionated on subjects we know nothing about, other than what McNews we snarf down by the putrid bucketload. Arrogance and disregard for others is what got us here at home, and our arrogance and disregard is why nations hate, or distrust us. We got ourselves here, and only us working as Americans, can we hope to lift the world's regard for us.
A year ago I was talking to a friend who was making a killing in the market. I told him that I wasn't confident AT ALL about the market, my gut was telling me something. He didn't even want to hear it, "the market will be fine" he told me.
What these CNBC frauds and my good friend have in common is that they were blinded by high returns. You'd think they'd have learned their lesson after the tech bubble.
Soon enough the market will recover and CNBC will rally and say "See, we told you!"
I just saw the Jon Stewart segment. Jim Cramer is hissy-fitting. CNBC is a good place to lose your money if you listen to them. Please look at the Jon Stewart segment.
But so far from last year to this, he's been dead on. Sorry if he throws a fit, but he's saved alot of money.
I dont trust his on the spot analysis of people calling in (its not exactly on the spot) but most of his recommendations saved or made money. I think she shoulda told people to invest more in gold but I dont remember him doing so.
It is not about the childish fits. It is about his certainty. That is, after all, what the broke investors trusted. I saw the screen behind him and yet he kept saying the sun rose from the west.
The sun rises from he west, don't worry, believe me! He and his wall street ilk were/are so confident in the face of statistics, they do whatever they can to bring in money. Jim Cramer is employed. I can not help the number of people who were misled. The sun rises from the west. Destroy you compass!
He may have been accurate at times when the market was rising but that's like cheering the Titanic for the first 500 miles of the trip. For all their "access to CEOs" neither Cramer nor any of those "experts" on CNBC predicted this disaster, they actually refused to see it, which makes them look more like a PR firm for Wall Street than sober financial analysts.
I only wish there were more people with such passion, willing to speak out about the pressing needs of the well-heeled, the silverpsooned, whitecollar, helicopter commuting fat cats!
Let's tell THE WHOLE TRUTH.
