  • When I passed the state tests and received my certification, I was instantly employed as a MHT at a psychiatric hospital making good money. I'm still employed a a psych tech to this day. Had it not been for my certs, no telling where I would be today especially with unemployment rate at an all time high. Your cert(s) can take you a long way provided that you maintain them, you'll always find employment over a person that's not cerified. Good luck to all who taking the test and PASS! :)

  • This video is a good helpful tool to anyone who's interested in becoming a CNA or is on the road to taking the exam. I took a course at an Academy school to become a CNA back in 2007 while going through the training potion of the study with the class tests and hands-on, was not bad, the state test did wreck my nerves..lol I had to do a written and hands-on and luckly for me, I passed it first time around since the school was paying for it. I was just determined :)

  • @kierra0709 sorry to hear that. If you study with the links I have provided and search for more on the web I am sure you will do fine. Don't forget to practice your skills. I have provided what I thought to be the best skills review on Youtube. I wish you all the best.

  • @Naturallylosingit this was a great informative video. can you email me at jennyjennifer81@gmail.com did u take a class or just study for challenge and what state? thanks!!

  • @305jgolling I did take a class because I needed to know what the duties entailed and the proper way of doing things. I am located in FL, Tampa Bay area.

  • Thanks Very much!! I am waiting for the book.. it is coming in 2 days from now.. I will read it 20 times.. I mean I will..

  • @juan58102 what book? can you email me at joeyj6218@gmail.com thanks!

  • @305jgolling the book is called Nursing Assistant Care The Basics by Hartman Publishing Inc.

  • Undress the strong arm first and Dress the weaken arm first

  • how can i get CNA practise test

  • Yeah, I remember the question about the coffee being on my test and I think I put clean up too because safety is first but then I was thinking if they had someone that maintance the rooms already then i would use the call light because im not suppose to leave a patient by themselves if it is a safety issue cause the patient may not see it or someone could slip and fall.

  • may i know if which state did u took your cna exam? thanks

  • i did my application online. So did you call prometric or did the email you in 2 weeks or what?

  • hey do it tell you right after you answer all the questions on the written test if you pass or fail online or how does it go? Another question how long did it take you to get a test date after your finger prints were done?

  • @quitak2011 After I took the test at the site the computer automatically told me if I passed or failed and on what parts. It did not tell how many questions I got right or wrong...just passed or failed. On the written test I failed one part but that was probably like 2 or 3 questions from that section. I think you have to get a 70 or 75 to pass. Not sure. It took me 2 weeks to get a test date after I sent it in online. By mail I heard it is almost a month.

  • I believe you undress the weak arm and if the resident is able they will dress or undress their strong arm? have to check again. I know we just went over that in class last week.

  • @Karmajaye Girl you made me go to the book! I learned USA first- Undress the Strong Arm first. Then dress the weak side first. When a patient is weak on one side, that side should be dressed first because the other side will be more difficult to put through an armhole, and the patient will be able to assist more with their strong arm. I was still confused when I started working, but the more I did it the better I understood the above to be easier for the resident and I.

  • Hi,please can you tell me which school did you do the skill test.

  • @gangstahint I only went to a local school (not really a "school" just a RN teaches classes at her scrubb uniform store) to help me prepare for the test. Community Colleges have CNA courses as well but they are more expensive. In the state of Florida if one wants to challenge the test to be certified they have to go through Prometric and schedule a test date and pay the fees which is close to $200.

  • Thank you for the info...I was a CNA back in the mid 80's but haven't worked as a CNA since then...I worked as one in '85 and '86...I am now thinking about taking classes again and getting re-certified since it has been so many years...great video.

  • Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me if you had to say the steps aloud while doing the skill test.

  • @vannie88hellyeah no, but you do have to talk to the person you are being tested with acting as the patient and let them know what you are doing before you do it.

  • THANKS FOR TAKING UR TIME. FOR HELPING US . YOU HAVE A VERY BLESSING HEART

  • AND IF YOU ARE A PSYCH TECH OR LVN U GET 55 DOLLARS AN HOUR

  • Wow, great video! Get prepared to pass your CNA Exam with Nurse Learning Center. For contact info, visit our website at " Nurse Learning Center . com "

  • @MsVal2006 no. If you know the material and what the job requirements are in regards to resident/patient care it is not difficult. Now if one challenges the exam without knowledge, then it is difficult because it does not line up with our own basic common sense on how to handle a matter. Since I studied, I did not find it difficult at all.

  • Thanks so much! You're adorable and your easy going manner helped me to not be so nervous. Testing tomorrow!

  • @dancingsquirrel Your welcome. How did you do?

  • @Naturallylosingit PASS!! :-)

  • really helpful!! I was completely nervous but this calmed me down!!! taking the test 2morrow

  • i dont understand do you work for the state? or you just took the test to get your license? did you go to a school? i am just curious..

  • @WonderWomanFan4life no. I took a class to prepare me for the State test. The state issues the license for one to become a CNA.

  • @Naturallylosingit

so you didnt even need any hours? thats GREAT.. So you didnt even have to pay a bunch of money for the classes? good for you. I have to call and find out if we can do that here in Los Angeles. if so that could help me so much. these class costs out here are ourtrageous. Thanks for the information. Every State is probably different. I think it is a good long term career choice medical/nursing. There are always jobs in that area. good luck! thank you

  • hello. how long was your class?

  • thanks and can you give all the imformation that you pratice for exam.i really need that.i don,t want to fail the exam.

  • @tumaimz I took a class and the instructor gave me a book that she made up with everything we needed to pass (what to do and what not to do). We also trained from a text called Nursing Assistant Care The Basics by Heartman's or Hartman Publishing. I purchased the book from Amazon.com. If you are not taking a class, look into getting the book. It will help you a great deal and it gives you the correct procedure for every skill.

  • Wow thanks for this video i really needed this.
