@pt2pornstars is this a matte textured painted finish? I'm not familiar with it. BW will likely improve it, but for how long, I don't know. BW is intended for textured plastic. It works on other surfaces as well, but durability will vary.
Wonderful thanks! Remember use pea sized amounts and spread out as far as possible. Usually a pea sized drop will spread out about 2'x2' square but depends on condition of plastic. Also very important to let each application soak in for several hours. 3 apps over 12 hours is much better than 3 apps in 1 hour. After initial app you might need some touchups before reaching max durability. It's cumulative. Store app in bag for reuse.
this gets my vote awesome looking product there, was that a microfiber applicator and how much time do you let the product cure on the trim before removing as the video showed it almost right after which would defeat the purpose wouldnt it ?
I actually used a Meguiar's foam applicator here, but my preference is a microfiber applicator called a Skinny, seems to reduce static buildup on dry days and it has a sewn edge for removing wax/polish buildup. The video was in just about realtime--meaning I applied it, wiped it dry (no set time). The product works by absorbing into the plastic. You'll know if you need more on severely oxidized trim--it will "drink up" all the BW. Leaving it on longer may help durability, but not a must.
The point of the last step on the video was to show that even when sprayed with water, that BW remained intact. To answer your question, YES it probably will, but if the rainy day is a pouring thunderstorm for 20 hours, then no silicone product will survive that. It will certainly survive numerous car washes.
which is better? Black Wow or Black Again?
