The one & only Norman wisdom. Such a nice man, gave us hours of true entrainment & he had such a bad start in his life. Sad how he was a little lonely before his death. I heard he was in some old people's home & had 2 sell his big house to.
I love his films & my children 8 & 16 year olds love it to bits we can't stop watching them u just can't get sick of them is what they say. :)
The Heritage Foundation in association with Queens Park Forum are pleased to announce that on Sunday the 6th March 2011 at 12 noon, we shall be unveiling a Heritage Foundation Blue Plaque at 91 Fernhead Road, London W9, where Sir Norman was born.
the best ever, thank you so much for making me laugh so much when i was a little boy, i,ll never forget you norman, you lovely lovely man. goodbye, god bless you.
The thing I loved about Norman is that you feel that everything he does amuses himself as much as everyone else.
Lovely to see Maureen Swanson too - I often wondered what happened to her, as she was delightful in "Up in the World" - she still seems delightful here.
in my view after charlie chaplain he was the greatest comedian in the history of cinema. a true legend and a perfect gentleman i belong to a non english very faraway country but i have never enjoyed watching any one than this great legend. many actors around the world tried to imitate him but failed to do so, i was actually surprised that why was he knighted so late. in my view all the original great flmcomedy came from England and really amazed that very few people have watched these videos !!!
Norman fully deserves the title of "comedy legend". I also believe he is one of the best ambassadors that Great Britain has ever had. He is the perfect Englishman, utterly modest to the core, I have NEVER heard a bad word said about him from anyone, and he will always be a family favourite whatever role he plays. Best Regards Norman. Roy Castle in the audience is in that same category. A real gent.
