  • i used to have an us spec convertible in the same colour, ancona blue right? had twin carbs on it to but it didnt run so idle :)

  • superb sound, idle should be increased by only 1 cm perhaps. very good engine, looks and sounds very responsive. Lucky you are. :)

  • every time you start it, immediately rev it up to 4000. That will get the oil flowing.

  • so you're saying that when the engine is cold and dry, and when the oil is at it's maximum thickness, and therefore maximum uselessness, rev it to 4000 rpm to get the oil flowing? can i just say that when the engine is running, so is the oil pump. so if it's idling, oil is being pumped through the engine like it should, and the friction, even at 800 rpm, is enough to warm up the oil enough to reach it's correct lubricating density, and allows it to do it's job...without welding your pistons...

  • @27FreakDS thats a good engine when will idle that slow, an engine showing signs of wear or getting low on compression would stall at that speed

  • I use the Weber carbs Type 40 IDF

  • The shaking will be normal at first start because the carbs don't have a choke and don't have preheat tubes to warm it up quicker

  • reason the engine is shaking : its normal. my 73' 1303 did it too. gotta love the sound as well

  • hay man. What is your engine number. It looks the same as mine and I am having trouble finding things out about it mine is AS68....... Do you know the timing angle and spark plugs you know stuff like that

  • shouldnt you bolt the engine to the chassis? that thing shakes more then a 500cu V8

    niedrige drehzahl = gerappel, so einfach ist das...

  • Kadrons are great, easy to tune it appears. Most if not all setups with Kadrons sound responsive and rev easily, though they might lack cold start compensation.
