  • Its very informative, but i still got alot of green going on in the hair, how do I fix that part? Do I just repeat? Or is there another trick?

  • Something's wrong...I followed this step by step and there's still a ton of green in the hair.

  • Very well done, easy to understand tutorial

    Wonderful, thank you

  • Thank you! That was quite helpful for me. I didn't quite get why my image was turning transparent when I selected a specific color to make transparent. Now I see, and will use this technique.

  • You could easily do a Michael Caine impersonation

  • gimp efin guru

  • U sound like maxboison who made them runescape videos lol

  • I tried to use this for my iPod icons after I was done editeing i needed to resize the pic in infanview and it won't read the pic so I can't resize it ???

  • Thanks!! Really helped me out man.

  • Never would have thought of doing it that way. That also gave me some ideas for creating silhouette pics. Thanks for the tutorial!

P.S. I love love love your voice!

  • i folloed this video a few time but don't get all the blue out of the hair it disapears but when i merge the 2 theres a blue haze still in the hair what am i doing wrong

  • is it possible to save and image without a background

  • @ikeepmyjunk yes, its called transparency :)

  • this really helped :) Thank you for taking the time to make it

  • if you use a background color like green or blue instead of white it shouldn't mess up the eyes like that. But if you still use white backgrounds you could try masking the eyes so they stay unaffected or just filling back the white, there are a number of ways you can get around that problem... good luck

And thank you for the wonderful tutorial bellmanding this is truly helpful and much appreciated!

  • you can c the girls nipples XD

  • This video is tremendously helpful. The only problem I have is that there is still a blue hue around dark hair.

  • Great tut!

  • Thanks! I would add that sometimes you may need to duplicate the 'finished' layer and merge down. I have noticed a few pictures that end up semi-trans

  • Yes i am having this same problem. for instance when i removed a "White backdrop" the whites of the persons eyes remained transparent after merge down. So doing what Bell suggested will correct this problem?

  • ok just tried that and the whites of the eyes lose the transparency BUT they still are not white. more of a grayish color. maybe i am doing this new last step wrong. could you explain further? Thanks!

  • Thanks Ding! That will save me lots of work in the future :)
