  • High probably

  • @TheMarkenzo007 Good luck.

  • I will have to test them

  • Are they sufficient intensity of light for Sps?

  • @TheMarkenzo007 Its tough to say for sure buddy. With the one I tested in this video, my SPS's either dulled out or bleached. I am currently testing other fixtures and will review them in the future.

  • BINGO

    Nitrates

  • @TheMarkenzo007 That can be a cause for sure, but LPS and Softies can easily handle nitrates in the 5 to 10 ppm. How high are yours :)

  • Can you post a video on them as they are my current lights, and I am starting to think they are not strong enough for hard corals

    Thanx

  • @TheMarkenzo007 I don't have the Aquaray LED lighting system to test so cannot make a video on them. Sorry buddy, but please do keep us posted on how well the LPS do in the long run :)

  • The aquaray 600 led's are my current lighting, originally my lfs said I shouldn't keep hard corals, (so then maybe selling me soft coral only lighting) if you know what I mean, I then bought some lps from another dealer and they aren't doing so well under the light!

    Thanx

  • @TheMarkenzo007 Have you made sure that all the parameters are OK before pointing the finger at the LED unit? Did the LPS corals look healthy at the other dealer?

  • Hi again, do the aquaray 600 led's enable for the growth and happiness of sps?

  • @TheMarkenzo007 I have yet to try those so I am not 100% sure.

  • Someone new to the hobby would be better off, using T-5's OR Compact Florescent bulbs. I still use CF bulbs and just 2 - 55watt CF bulbs will blow away any 55 watt led and at the same time cost 70% less money to buy.

Therefore anyone can add even more power, such as 4 - 55 watt bulbs, never have to worry about to little light and still save way more money then buying some marginal LED fixture.

The light output of LEDs are no better, watt for watt, then CF or T-5 bulbs.

  • Which t-5 Do u have

  • @ryanhu6 I use the Aquaticlife T5 fixture before experimenting with the LED's. Worked like a charm for a year :)

  • good stuff hey do you think that with new Led I got and my old antics will loof funny

  • @canonxsi79 I have seen setups like this with LED and PC or T5 Actinic combos and they do look a lot better with actinics added. If you give it a try, please do let us know how it works out for you. I continue to see LED setups and for whatever reason, they dont look as good as a setup with actinics. Not sure if it is the camera, or the lack of actinics themselves, but as you see from the video, this fixture does not compare to mines look wise.

  • Bro! I just want to thank you for all your troubles to produce such priceless videos for us all. If only I knew what you know!!!

    THANK YOU!!!

  • @Th3mast3r69 Thanks for the much appreciated feedback.

  • Any particular fixture and/or company you recommend ?

    Thx

  • @Khloe04Men I have 2 video reviews on 2 other fixtures coming out soon. From those videos you will be able to asses my recommendation after testing them each for 3 months at a time. Stay tuned.

  • Would be great to have a link to the subscriber you were talking about!

  • @p35kyg0d search for the following name "mkaywison". You should find easily. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo Quick response, love it. Will do. Thanks!

  • @p35kyg0d Your welcome :)

  • Do the Ecotech Radion led light system next. I've herd they put out more light then a 250 watt meat halide. And I'm really thinking about getting them but I want another person to review that actually knows something haha!! Please..?

  • @tjhowell3282 I will be reviewing the AI's next and then the ones you mentioned. Stay tuned until i play with them a little longer :)

  • @newyorksteelo Awesome!! I just discovered you today and your A lot better at getting back to people then a lot of other people doing this saltwater commentary thing!!! Can't wait for new stuff to come! :)

  • @tjhowell3282 Thanks. Many more videos o come :)

  • Hey i just wanted to say i updated my lights for leds and my tank is a 125 gallon tank it is vary long. when i upgraded i looked up the marineland seiries and i agree with you. when i can go on ebay and get 5 led systems that are dubble bright leds with moon and atinic lighting at 80bucks a pop and are 20k leds not 10k. but i use hydroponic leds and a moon light strip from ocianic. and i use 2 units at 225 leds each. and my corals just BLOUMED. i only spent 65 bucks with free shiping.

  • @fighter7387 Sounds like a good deal. Be sure to keep us updated on how well these lights do for you in the long run. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo well it has been running now for about 8 mouths and i have had to frag my green kenia and monopora about every month. and my zoas and softys are what really exploded in growth. I need to frag my tank about one ever mouth and i have one weekend were i do it and sell it to my local fish store for store credit or for cash.

  • @fighter7387 I am particularly interested in how well high end SPS do under this light you have. Mostly long term after a year or so. I visited your channel but you have no videos on it :(

  • @newyorksteelo Ya i know i dont have a camra that can record video right now. my last one that cost me 200 bucks decided on doin a swan dive into my tank. ya it sucks. but when i get another i will post some vids. earlyer i said 2 units. i was wrong sorry i have 4 total in a diy hood i made with wood. looks clean. i get no heat from it but i still have a fan in there. and the led moon light and regular lights are on timers for 5:30 tha 2 units with moon at 6:30 than at 7:40 4 units with no moon

  • @fighter7387 Thanks for sharing that.

  • @newyorksteelo and i also use LEDs for my refugum as well. and when i did the change first i was using marinland and it was kinda so so with me. i didnt like it eather than i looked up hydroponic lighting and put 1 unit in the refugum and my chato whent nuts. as well as my tang red and yellow. if you get the oprotunity check into using hydroponic lighting. it is build to grow plants and can be used in aquariums.and the results can be outraguse.

  • @fighter7387 Will do. Good luck with your setup :)

  • @newyorksteelo O and they only use 13watts a piece and the moon lights are 2.5 watts each so all and all its 70 watts total. so it is cheap to buy onling cause of the free shiping and it is cheap on the electric bill (makes the wife happy). and i get a great deal as far as my local store with frags. so it has paied for itself.

  • @fighter7387 One thing about this hobby that should always be taken into consideration is that cheap and this hobby just don't go together I've learned that the hard way lol). Cheaper almost always mean trouble down the line. This is why I want to see it via the videos uploaded now, and videos uploaded a year from now with high end SPS corals. If I am going to replace my lighting which has been proven to work effectively for decades, for a light that just came out, it better be the best :)

  • @newyorksteelo I can see your point. well if i can i will post a video asap.

ill send you the link so you can check up on it.

  • @fighter7387 Yeah, too much invested in my 90g tank in delicate corals if you know what I mean. Thanks for the link. I will check it out for sure.

  • What about for a 210 FOWLR? Would 2 36" fixtures look good? I ask because, I almost bought 2 yesterday but wanted to research them firs before spending $600? Thanks!

  • @tanksfish Should be fine for the type of setup you mentioned. You can even get the Double Bright fixture instead of this reef fixture and save some money.

  • What lighting system would u recommend on a 75 gallon in order to keep everything

  • @FishNbricks20 There are so many options out there. Please visit my video titled "Reef Aquarium Lighting" where you may find the answers you seek.

  • Hey steelo whens your next video coming out? I'm thinking of buying ais but I want to know your opinion first, thanks

  • @Pawnu1 Should be out soon, but the next one will be an educational video. The one you mentioned in particular wont be out for a while until I test them out thoroughly :)

  • i have the marineland reef capable 48 to 60 inches over my 55 gallon reef tank and my corals seen to be happy and even my clam seen to be doing fine i am see my coral growing and i will even post a video if you will like so you can see for yourself. it is the the best led but the blue looks amazing in my 55gallon reef tank

  • @lovelife10034 How long have you had the fixture and reef if you don't mind me asking? My main concern with it is the price, its limited features, and its questionable lifetime, as well as it's questionable ability to keep high end SPS corals.

  • i bought this just for my freshwater tank..... this thing is awful. even for the freshwater tank. its junk. My t12 i had on the tank was brighter then this thing. it would never ever be put on my saltwater tank that im starting up

  • @joe0813 Thanks for sharing that.

  • @newyorksteelo for my freshwater tank its fine but saltwater i dont think it would cut it

  • @joe0813 I agree. How is the growth of your live plants if you have any?

  • @newyorksteelo i havent noticed a difference yet... ive only had it for about a week

  • @joe0813 Sounds good. Be sure to let us know how it turns out for you in the near future, or if you switch back to the T12's.

  • Hello buddy going to upgrade my lights in about six months but for now I have put a extra 156 watts of t5s up so now I have 375 watts of t5s up will that do for now my tank size 165 gallon but that includes sump is about 20 gallon

  • @dm002a8686 For your mostly fish only system, you have more than enough lighting as it is. Happy New Years :)

  • I think I will buy this fixture and add two 48 inch stunner strips one in magenta and the other in white/blue that would work better.

  • @FishNbricks20 Good luck cause you are going to need it!

  • Will this light grow corals?

  • @FishNbricks20 Please watch the review up until the end to find the answers you seek :)

  • one day ill make saltwater tank and im gonna watch all your videos one by one. i have freshwater tank only. just uploaded new video. might as well give a click.thanks

  • @DesertSubstrate Sounds like a plan. When you do decide to make the jump, be sure to keep us updated on your progress. Good luck.

  • I have a panorama led module and since I first got it on may 7 of this year it has gotten a lot dimmer i describe that in my video i just uploadeed well too!

  • @ifUdidwoodU Yes. It seems to be an issue in the long run with most LED fixtures. I have 4 leds on both my fixtures to use as moon lights and those LED's are inconstant where some of the bulbs are brighter than the others. LED lighting has a ways to go in my opinion and the long tern performance of these fixtures are still questionable. Thanks for sharing that.

  • Hey Stello, you got great videos! i currently have a 75 gallon reef tank, about 5 months old, and just wanted help to know why i have a lot of sandy particles floating everywhere. For reference i have 2 Ehiem canister filters working. If you can help me out, that'll be GREAT!

PLEASE review my reef tank on my channel and give me suggestions. Thanks.

  • @27ppatel I will try and take a look when I get home later on tonight if not no later than tomorrow.

  • Thanks for the review. Some of the reviews on the AI and Radion fixtures I've seen are pretty impressive, however the units are pricey. In your opinion how successful can I be in the short term with a quad t5 ho unit on a 93g cube, possibly adding a dual t5 ho for a total of 6. I'd like to hold out until I'm more comfortable purchasing an led unit.

  • @nujerzdrve1 Those reviews on the AI's only look at the good and do not cover the bad in the units buddy. A wise choice from your part to hold out on the LED's for the time being, at least until more in accurately known about their long term use and until the prices drop. The T5 unit will work great and has been proven to work effectively for decades now so you cannot go wrong with those. Good luck.

  • NO PROBLEM!!! I would hate for someone to make the same mistake I made by buying this fixture. KEEP DOIN WHAT YOU DOIN STEELO...:)

  • @NITTINID Will do :)

  • TERRIBLE FIXTURE!!!!! HAD IT FOR 1 YEAR...THE WORST INVESTMENT IVE MADE IN THIS HOBBY!!!!! $599 DOWN THE DRAIN!!! YES...It looks nice slim and sleek..but if you have corals...THIS IS A BAD INVESTMENT!!! They are no where near the output of T5's M.H

  • @NITTINID Thanks for sharing that.

  • Did I miss the AI LED review?

  • @wesleyforbes Took me 2 months to make this Marineland review and the AI is coming right up. All videos in their respective release times :) I also ordered one Radion Module which should be here within 5 days. I will be doing a detailed review for the AI's since I've had those for 2 months now, an initial review for the radion first impressions, a side by side comparison with both, and then 3 to 6 months down the line, a detailed review of the radions with both the good and the bad. Stay Tuned!

  • @newyorksteelo Looking forward to it!

  • Marineland Pro-Series 24-Hour Aquarium Lighting System continuation. From pfcromero101 LED accent lights to replicate moonlight and help coral reproduction and nighttime viewing and feeding. 24 and 36 in.–two 1-watt LEDs each. 46 and 60 in.–four 1-watt LEDs each. 72 in.–six 1-watt LEDs.

  • @pfcromero101 This is not an LED system buddy? I think it is a HQI system as you stated below?

  • Marineland Pro-Series 24-Hour Aquarium Lighting System

High intensity 14,000K HQI metal halide lamps. 24 and 36 in. models–one each; 48 and 60 in. models–two each; 72 in. model–three each. Each lamp 150 watts.

HO T5 actinic lamps to intensify the blue wavelengths. Penetrate deeper, especially to meet the photosynthetic needs of invertebrates. 24 in.–four 24-watt lamps. 36 in.–four 39-watt lamps. 48 and 60 in.–four 54-watt lamps. 72 in.–eight 39-watt lamps.

  • @pfcromero101 This being a metal halide system should be a good addition to any tank. I thought you were talking about a new LED system?

  • I know marineland has come up with a 24hr system but can't find a lot of information about them, I also have seen a few on sale at ebay and the cost about 1000 plus dollars. If you ever find this system could you do a review and find out what's so special about it an why it cost a 1000. Adding a timer should increase the value that much.

  • @pfcromero101 Wow, a $1,000 dollar unit? What is the name of it if you dont mind me asking. I tell you man, some of these light fixtures coming out today their prices are just ridiculous.

  • okay i have a reef one with brighter leds and 84 of them on my 20 gallon and it was 100 bucks and my brother used it for 1 year and its still brighter then hell

  • @vanhalenman60 Brighter LED's and only 100 bucks? Are you sure you had these for a year cause I just saw you posted on one of my other videos that you stated you bought this fixture and are setting up a nano and inquiring about what additives you should get? Have you had corals in there? I am interested in knowing how your corals fair in the long run. Be sure to keep us posted on your results. Thanks.

  • @newyorksteelo no my brother had it i just got it from him he had it for a year

  • @vanhalenman60 OK, be sure to keep us updated on your results down the line. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo eventually i will make a video on what light it is for you and people who want to get into led lighting

  • @vanhalenman60 Sounds good. I would be particularly interested in the long term effects on the corals more so than what the light can do initially.

  • 1 question, do you know where i can purchase any chaeto morpha?! none of my LFS's carry it and cant seem to find it on any sites for a reasonable price sice shipping is crazy now for some reason.

  • @Almostazn12 I got one of my local fish stores to order it for me years ago. Since then I throw out lots of it every few months. Best way to get it is to ask your local fish store to order it for you like I did to avoid the shipping costs. If not, you will need to buy it online. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo thank you i just found some from a craigslist add i posted up and voila! thanks for the help NYS!

  • @Almostazn12 Your welcome. Keep us updated on your progress and how the Macro Algae works for you :)

  • My biggest issue with these units is the quality. These are a LED fixture I wouldn't recommend because of this. Water and humidity can get inside these fixtures and ruin the wiring/circuitry, I have seen it on a few of these units. I have some pics on my photobucket to highlight the damage, but youtube wont let me post the links for some reason... Anyone who is curious about it, feel free to shoot me a msg and I can show you what I mean.

  • @curiousjoel Yes, I agree with your statement on quality because I have read so many people complain about LED's going out or the fixture electrically malfunctioning altogether. Thanks for sharing that. Greatly appreciate it :)

  • You think these lights would work well o a 55G with softies? like torch coral zoanthids mushrooms bubble coral? Or should I buy T5s?

  • @Claya94 Torch Corals are LPS (Large Polyp Stonies), not softies. Zoa's and mushrooms yes, and there is a possibility to add a torch coral but I would advise you to get T5's, simply because every reefer out there, no matter how much you tell me that you will only keep softies, will eventually want to get SPS corals, there is no way around that. Once this hobby hooks you, you are hooked for life and so I would much rather recommend T5's which are going to be better for you in the long run.

  • Newyorksteelo, I 100% agree with everything you said about this unit. I actually have had this or about 4 months. My mushrooms and softys are doing great, but when I tried sps, didn't turn out so great, but thanks for making a video of this! You really got the goods and the bads about this. Props dude!

  • @ballafasho4o8 That means a lot to me coming from someone that owns the fixture, yet acknowledges the cons. You have my full respect :)

  • I got 120w leds off ebay and couldnt be happier, i had a buddy come over and par test them and i was getting around 180par 22" down ($200 fixture)

  • @MrImbored242 Any videos on your setup and corals? Please do consider keeping us posted on your results :)

  • @newyorksteelo i will like to see how it looks !!! and what types of corals? / color bulbs ?

  • @MasterTechRepair That makes 2 of us :)

  • Great review! Just installed 5 Reef Brite's over my 90g of 16 mos. Zoa/paly dominated with various LPS. Will see how it goes.

  • @Breezyreef Thanks. Please be sure to let us know how well your corals respond in the long run.

  • Great review!!! You covered everything, plus you were absolutely honest with the pros and cons!

  • @7Defcon Thanks for the feedback :)

  • AI would blow this piece of chunk out of the water. Thanks for the video as always

  • @rarityd lol, your welcome!

  • I like how you speak slowly, articulately and knowledgable, i know that you know what your talking about....so...you ever gona go bigger in your tank size or no? im at 265 gallons, gona go to 400 next year..building my new tank. but again, very nice videos bud, keep it up.

  • @kissingbanditt Thank you. I really want to only I am limited in the funds needed to upgrade this system to a much larger one. Would love to have at least a 180. Thanks again for the positive feedback.

  • I am running a similar light on my father-in-laws tank that I gave him and I am not happy with the light/ power cords.

I can't wait for the manufactures start trickling down the technology of the larger led set ups, like lightning effects, and passing clouds all programmable via your computer.

  • @nydinkle I am sure that Marineland is working on releasing an upgrade to this unit. Most all other manufacturers are trying to better their units also. My only gripe about this is that they are using us hobbyists as the Guinea Pigs to buy and try the lights out, only to report back to them that the results are not quite ad good as they initially advertised. Thanks for stopping by and for sharing that.

  • Hey thanks man for that review, Been having trouble finding the right fixture for my tank.I'm not quite sold on l.e.d's yet.The better one's are way too expensive. Thanks again for your wisdom man, keep up the good work.

  • @Isaac7G Will do. Thanks for the feedack :)

  • I bought this fixture about a year ago, and your right. Not enough intensity. It was only on my salt water tank for a few days. then back to the t5's. It is a great light on my african cichlid tank though. Maybe you should try it on your freshwater tank when you set it up. Keep up with the great videos buddy! You make this hobby easier for a lot of people:)

  • @almason1234 That;s whats up. Thanks for sharing that. I con only imagine how nice it would look on the Cichlid tank though. Have you made a video on it?

  • @newyorksteelo no I have not yet. My stupid camera broke, and Im waitin for xmas for a new 1. I will when I get the new camera.

  • @almason1234 Let me know when up upload it. I will be your first viewer.

  • With all these biased reviews, people saying their lights are perfect etc I don't know if Marineland will think its a big enough problem to solve if people are not reporting issues.

  • @JUNAID187 I am sure hey know though with all the competition out there. Competition should be the main concern of Ecotech too because their lights are just ridiculously expensive while the AI's are just as good and a lot cheaper. I will cover a lot of this in the upcoming videos so stay tuned.

  • @newyorksteelo you should try to play with the radion a bit, it is really awesome. Although the price seems high, the light/$ is competitive. Color rendition and shimmer are just like a metal halide, something no other LED can achieve. Add the cool control software and you have the clear best LED ramp out there.

  • @matman377 I don't disagree with you that it is a nice unit, but if we keep buying it, they will keep that high price man. They can getaway with over charging for their pumps, but not the Radions. Too much competition out there. Please stay tuned to the upcoming videos. A lot of what I will state there will make a lot of sense and I will eventually own them but the bad must be told so everyone can judge for themselves. Stay tuned.

  • Been reading online on forums etc that this is one of the worst LED units for the money :S

    OUCH !

  • @JUNAID187 Yep. Lots of people have reported their results with this fixture. Hopefully Marineland took some notes an will release an upgraded fixture soon.

  • Don't feel about about giving your honest opinion on the negatives !

Alot of people don't mention them only for the user to find out themselves :(

  • @JUNAID187 You hit the nail in the head so to speak. I noticed that too. They just talk about the good or offer biased opinions. I tried to ease in the bad so as to not slam the fixture lol. Thanks man.

  • This unit can be summed up in 1 word! BAD! I agree with all your negative points and think it is lacking hugely in what an LED unit should feature. Ive got 3 Radions over my tank but as I am still in the build stage it will be a while till i get to test them properly on some SPS corals. I am pretty confident they will do the trick though but certainly dont come cheap! Got a few more videos on my channel if you have time, check them out! BIG TNUMBS UP! and look forward to you reviewing the AI's!

  • @shardinio I have quite a bit of catching up to do. Another new video will be out in a few minutes. Thanks for sharing that.

  • @newyorksteelo looking forward to it man!

  • :)

  • @mkaywilson lol

  • I love fish!!!!!

  • I love fish!!!!!

  • @FloresBrothers72956 That makes 2 of us :)

  • Hey, I also forgot to mention that the ATI light fixture holds T5 VHO bulbs in them. Fantastic bulbs by the way!

  • @mkaywilson Don't get smart with me now lol, kidding. THANKS :)

  • Great review . When's echo tec led video out that's the ones I might be getting.when you do review could you do how many you would need for tank size . Think I would need 2 or 3 ???

  • @dm002a8686 I will cover all the details buddy, including the good and the bad fur sure :) BTW, new video coming out tonight again so stay tuned!

  • Very nice video indeed. I comletley agree with your assessment. The MarineLand LED is still on my 30 gallon but only have a zoa, clean up crew, and my clown fish in it. I would not attempt to put SPS's for long term under the Marine Land. SPS's are too costly to risk on that light. Once I moved my corals from the 30 to the 90 gallon with the ATI fixture, the colors intensified on them and it definitely showed what the Marine Land was lacking. Thanks for the props, not necessary, though. :)

  • @mkaywilson Thanks so much for sharing this input. There really is something special about being able to replace old bulbs with new bulbs. I just replace my metal halides and my corals also intensified in a matter of 2 weeks. It's like rejuvenating the reef all over again. I may do another quick update later on today of my one year anniversary on the tank. You rock!.

  • Bro, you are the best. You pay money out of YOUR pocket to help us choose an led ficture. Thanks

  • @TheBerriersReef Your welcome. Before I leave this earth, I will leave my mark, at least on youtube lol.

  • i for some reason dont like marine land stuff cause i font think they can acutttly grow corals oh well great vid bro

  • @fishdude3213 Thanks for sharing that. I do think that their maxijet pumps are good though :)

  • i for some reason dont like marine land stuff cause i font think they can acutttly grow corals oh well great vid bro

  • The one that I have looked at looks good iv emailed them for the par and they don't no yer right more like its no good for a reef so meny of them are miss leading keep you in the dark if you like lol I will keep tuned for your vids keep up the good work

  • @Keironkerri Yes. And that is one of my biggest gripes and concerns about some of these LED fixtures. They ask for so much money yet you are somewhat misleading. Not good at all.

  • Ok thanks now I kno what I'm want from the wifey fir Xmas thanks for taking the time out to answer all our questions much appreciated

  • @reefdon Your welcome. Glad to be of some help :)

  • i see why you asked me if i had these on my 125 they do look like the lighting system i have.

good luck man, hey later on after i get my 125 up and rolling i want to put a lighting system on my 55 reef, what would you suggest. i mainly want softies at the bottom leathers up more hard up more and sps at the very top

  • @samuelwaynefoleyjr You can use this system if what you plan on having are softies and leathers in a 55g tank :) You may want to hold out until the other reviews are released though so you can make your choice from there. Good luck.

  • @newyorksteelo will do

  • Good vid bud LEDs is on my list of things to get before I set my new tank up but it is very hard to find any unless you spend good money iv been looking at this one 180574826397 it's on eBay but still not sure have a look and see what you think

And don't spam your own channel lol

  • @Keironkerri Yes, good bucks is the key as you stated lol. You may want to stay tuned for the upcoming videos on the higher end LED's of which I will cover both the good and the bad in detail.

  • that fixture is only good for shallow tanks becasue of the 1w leds you need 3w leds like i have to get the light to the bottom of the tank. i found that even when i have 144w of led's over my 90g tank i cant keep sps below half of the tank

  • @zacguitarshreder12 I agree. Thanks for sharing that :)

  • Awesome video... totally agree with you on the switching aspect... what a kill-joy!!!!! anywho, the fixture is fine for a fish system, but I am trying for a Nano-Reef.... so probably will get a 24" T5 HO fixture for now... Thanks for the vid...... B

  • @biskit7 Total kill kill joy for me too. I also agree with everything else you stated. Thanks!

  • Nice video very interesting and beneficial for me as I was looking to purchase those exact lights from eBay

I'm currently running 4x54w t5s was looking Into buying halide lights just not looking forward to the electric bill...how have you found running your halides and as I also have a 90 gallon system what wattage would I need for my system

    Thanks

  • @reefdon Its not much at all really. I would say like an extra 20 bucks a month or so. Remember that 2 X 150 MH bulbs would be the same as having 2 X 150w regular light bulb on your living room on daily for 12 hours :)

  • Aqua Illumination look amazing. Can't wait to see the 30g with it.

  • @dannyloskipapi I am going to briefly show the 30g with them mounted, and then edit the video and install them on the 90 so you guys can get the full experience :) Thanks for stopping by and for the comment.

  • @newyorksteelo Sweeet! I actually just upgraded to a 14k MH supplemented with T5s and I can see a drastic difference with the growth and color of my corals. Can't wait to have the $ to upgrade to AI or Reef Brite in the future :)

  • @dannyloskipapi There it is. I got a new video coming out later on today in which I cover the replacement of the bulbs a bit. Stay tuned and thanks for visiting the video and commenting.

  • Steelo, Thank you so much for reviewing this fixture. I bought this one a couple months ago and I had a feeling it probably wasn't up to par with the more higher priced LED systems out there. I also have 2 36 in' ecoxotic LED stunner strips(both blue) on my tank. My tank is a 90 gal corner tank and is 23 inches deep.

I know you said this fixture may be sufficient for softies but does it matter if my tank is 23 inches deep? I just want softies and basic corals, no sps

  • @my89tube LED;s do have the ability to penetrate deep which is a good thing, but when the fixture lacks PAR no matter ho values. Softies are some of the most forgiving when it comes to light intensity so either way you go, it should be enough to keep the softies alive and well.
