@avalanchesoul Just because they haven't made a song about obeisety, doesn't mean it don't concern them. You can't write about every single problem. Obeisity is a subject hard to take into a song, it's problably more effective to support Who(world health organisation) and spread the knowledge about healthy foods. @TheShaeber all Vevo does is allow for Anti-Flag to accurately track how many views their song gets, when they try and book a show at a venue, the venue wants proof of their popularity and this is one way to show it. it's a modern equivalent of getting a lot of radio air-time.

Just some songs off the top of my head.
I strongly urge you explore all the music though. It's not always about the vocals, it's about the message.

Chesterton, Carl Sandburg, John Updike, go back to early 20th century and beyond.. don't dwell, don't just buy into trends and movements that are reactionary to the problems, strive for unfiltered and unbiased truth.

My girlfriend constantly tells me how she is not as good as models and wants to get cosmetic surgery. She is fucking beautiful but I can't get through to her about it and that kills me... I know she loves me but she still wont listen. I feel like she has been made to feel insignificant and worthless and I hate the media for what they do to peoples minds. Obeisity is a subject hard to take into a song, it's problably more effective to support Who(world health organisation) and spread the knowledge about healthy foods. But, ofcource it should be brought up! (but, it really don't fit as a song)

@snowtreeman anything subject can be written in song form. the reason punk rock doesn't do it is because it's easier to point fingers at the media/ modeling industry, than to address the complexity in why people are fat; not to mention, the biggest reason is personal responsibility, and personal responsibility is not as "cool" as being against high fashion.
