There was so few channels then everybody was watching this, you really could here the street explode in laughter (double glazing was for the 1%) There was a dramatic pause and intake of breath as the family took in what they were seeing then totally pissed themselves.

It was hilarious, at the time. But ,you had to feel some empathy for the owner who, I'm sure, wouldn't have seen the funny side of it, at the time. I think the Beeb got it sorted in the end and the, 'cat', was rectified so that it did look a little like it did when it was still alive, rather than something out of Bagpuss.
