@jimmybrazen I said I didn't understand the lyrics until I took acid not while I was on acid, the train of thought their lyrics have, well most noticeably in the beginning this song is like a trip, the images and ideas seem disjointed but make absolute sense to them. It reminded me of the thoughts and images I had when I tripped, nothing pretentious there.

Pff, no apologies needed far as I'm concerned. I'd agree it has an ethereal atmosphere, and for that matter, everything's different for each person. One thing I like about these guys and Boards of Canada both is they can manage to be bittersweet and haunting at the same time, meaning whatever you're feeling the song will bring it out tenfold.
