  • Lloyd is the man and stood TALL through all the critics and continues to produce results, on and off the mat. That's success!

  • why were you fighting a 55 year old dude?

  • That ref was so into it lol

  • That was Rick McCoy, Llyod beat hahaha

  • MASTER LLOYD THIS VID IS A VERY GREAT WORD OF WISDOM AND TRUTH AND I WOULD TO SAY IT'S TRUELY AN HONOR TO BE TRAINING AT YOUR ACADEMY, I JUST WANTED TO LET U KNOW THAT I APOLOGIZE THAT I HAVE NOT BEEN COMMING LIKE I USED TO, THINGS BEEN VERY HARD FOR ME THESE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS. I JUST WANT TO THANK U FOR THE TALK WE HAD THE LAST TIME I'VE SEEN U AND I WOULD PLAN ON COMMING BACK SOON AS THINGS GET A LITTLE EASY. AND I WOULD LIKE YOU TO BE MY MENTOR AND COACH SOMEDAY IN MY FUTURE MMA CARREER.

  • I have fought many people who did not stand a chance... was there mind set off? lack of focus or just stupid? sometimes you should know who your up against and when you are out matched because theres a fine line between being tough and stupid. people will aleays have something negative to say about others especialy in the fight game. jelousey prevails? You are one of the best ever Sir. thank you for all your great videos.

  • Cool fight! liked the old school stand up Rickson\Royce style

  • Well of course any criticism must originate from racism!

  • Awesome Video Lloyd, at first I thought you were Royce Gracie! Good times

  • Standing looked like Rickson, that was awsome

  • @ tolstoyq-A few years ago, my friend was in a grappling match and was down 11-0. He was getting dominated. Lloyd walked up out of nowhere and starting coaching him. He instructed him on how to get out of a side mount and set up a triangle for the victory. After my friend won, Lloyd walked away without a word. He didn't even know me or my friend. I don't even know if Lloyd even remembers that. I never will. His shit works!

  • @tolstoyq-That guy stepped into the ring wanting to fight. He came ill prepared. That's not Lloyd's fault. He had a better game plan and it seems, killer instinct. He's preached having both for years and as you seem to have missed, practices what he preaches.

  • your stance reminds me of Grand Master Jerry "fast feet" Fontanez back in the day, you ever took Karate?

  • Lloyd, I love you man, and I have bought several of your videos. But this video made you look bad because your opponent didn't have a chance against you. You could also beat up my grandma but what would that prove? I want to identify with a guy who strives with his last ounce of courage, win or lose.

  • @tolstoyq If I look bad for the way I win a fight then there is nothing I can do about that. I guess you feel that the video of Cain beating Brock makes Cain look bad also. Thanks for your opinion. Sorry that you can't identify with me.

  • @lloydirvin hey man.. the year was 1996. It was a whoooole different era. There were no "tapes on the other mma guy" ... there were no cross-training camps. It was old school. I appreciate that, Lloyd. Thanks for sharing the vid.

  • @lloydirvin wow your fighting stance isnt really common is u kicked that guy's ass i've been to your gym 4 about a week now and i heard what u do 2 people who want to fight and i really want to fight under your gym i'm looking forward to meetting you 1 day

  • royce would be proud!

  • Great video Master Lloyd! Takes me back to the old school days of MMA and Vale Tudo. Also makes me miss training at Nashville MMA with Ed and Shaun. The BJJ journey continues here in NC though.

  • Yo is that the ufc ref in your corner ?

  • Love the Machida/Royce Gracie stance, lol. Takedown was setup a la Royce Gracie, too

  • I think the other dude broke his shoulder.

  • @mitchhsansom .. not shoulder... his broke his clavicle (collar bone) ... pretty much exactly like Wanderlei broke Saku's clavicle in their 1st rematch (pride 17) for the middlewt. championship can't grapple offensively once that happens... if the guy was a good submissions guy, he could have fought off the choke and escaped the position.. but the rate of success would still be super low. Guess that's one way to gain incentive to train judo or greco !

  • welcome to the terrordome

  • Lloyd Irvin is tha' man!!! Congrats on your success hermano!!! Master Rigan Machado admires your energy and success. All the best to you. -Robs

  • I bet that guy wished he wouldn't of held the ropes and took the leg sweep instead. That slam looked brutal. Don't doubt Lloyd, he's the real deal

  • I love it! I like the graphic's, commentery/ Interview, alot better qualiity vid instead of just putting up the footage. Very nice!

Yeah I see the royce gracie bounce and the classic fake stomp kick to, rush into clinch take down strategy awesome!

Oh and the marketing who cares you make the money, your team is a HUGE Success, like you said results don't lie. If your marketing wasn't that good you u wouldn't be facualty on ken Mcarthy System or support from Dan Kennedy and Bill Glaizer

  • Yeah Man, Ha HA!! That was the Royce Hop alright! Those were the days.. Vale Tudo in the ring. I love it. First time I met you was at the Yamasaki Open in 1999. You were a judge and the first Black American Black Belt I had ever seen.

  • I knew dude was through after that slam..all in all we NEED people with footage of their systems actually working, so how can you hate on someone talking it and walking it. Most importantly you're running a number of programs for kids..allot of these 'top trainers' wont even look your way if you dont have a high end contract in hand. Keep it official like a ref with a whistle

  • HELL YEAH MAN!! Great vid. Was Mr. Yamasaki a coach of yours?

Really appreciate all the bjj vids I have watched from you over the last 4 or so years, really helped me a lot. I consider you one of my teachers.

  • @elmotron yeah yeah Mario was partners with my instructor back in the day. I was repping "Yamasaki/Dally Jiu Jitsu" then, I was their first mma fighter and did any of the challenge matches that came in

  • Great video. I'm soo glad you also added some comentary. Personally, I think that you're a successful renegage. I think that your critics probably see race first instead of appreciating what you have done and are doing for the sport. If they truly love BJJ then they should give you your props on all levels ("team of the decade", marketing, positive influence for at risk youth, etc). I'm 40 and am just beginning my BJJ training here in the Bay Area and I keep tabs on your academy. Good job.

  • @JoeTax69 it's all part of the game Joe and I'm a winner! hahhahha thanks for your words

  • @lloydirvin Hey Master Lloyd, I was just wondering if your company is associated with Alliance MMA, or is it, it's own team of themselves...thanks

  • Great video, Master Lloyd. I've been training in BJJ under Master Reylson Gracie here in Las Vegas, NV and I absolutely love it! Hope all is well with you.

  • @damartin1906 thanks

  • Been a fan for years.

  • @jmoney1941 thanks

  • It was really like watching "Royce".

    Stance,(Kind of)Kicking,Shoot,Takedown...Choke.

Not as smooth... but really impersive for 6 Month of BJJ-Training.

  • @mzekiy not as smooth at all LOL

  • @lloydirvin ... yeah, but you should have had Mario and your partners come out in the "Gracie Train" ... lol ... matching jumpsuits... marching single file.. hands to shoulders !

  • Wow that was quick.
